Guest Reviews
- Lucy (8/5): Very good - Characterful house with lots of original features. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen had all the utensils and pans etc you could need. Also really appreciated all the eco cleaning products and information/maps about the house and area. Fantastic location in a lovely village. There was quite a smell of wet dog downstairs (upstairs was fine). The owners had provided dog blankets to protect the sofas, but perhaps the previous occupants didn't use them, or their stay had been a rainy one? Either way, it wasn't pleasant. My only suggestion would be to replace the carpet with hard flooring, but that may not be viable. Would still recommend to stay if you had a dog yourself.
- Ronan (8/5): Very good - Parking was a bit challenging but the property was nice and had everything we needed.
- Laura (9/5): Lovely house, in a beautiful location, would stay again. - Amazing location, perfect for walking straight out the front door and into the hills. Local people were so friendly and helpful. The house is well equipped and was clean and tidy. Fireplace was lovely to have, as was boot/utlity room for when you come back from a muddy walk. The Miners Arms did a fab roast on Sunday. Really hard to find initially at night time, as instruction’s provided only directed us to the village and then as all the houses have names and no numbers we started to check every house in the village to find it. We didn’t have ‘what3words’ and the phone signal was too poor to download it adhoc. But the super helpful village shop had a map of all the houses so we used that to find it eventually, but it was a shame the exact location of the property wasn’t given in the information pack, as on a long journey with a baby you just want to get settled in. But this is minor and an easy fix for the owners moving forward. It would have also been nice if initially more logs had been left. But a lovely house, in a beautiful location, would stay again. Thank you
