• Carol (10/5): Highly recommend for base in Cotswolds - Well located close to Cirencester but in a local village. Cottage had all the essentials plus many extras - very comfortable stay. Off street parking was great. Our host, Simon was very responsive to a few issues which made our stay relaxing and comfortable (we locked keys inside one day and had a minor maintenance issue on another day). Nothing

The owner went above and begin to provide everything that we might need including little things like having a Netflix account already setup on the tv. Highly recommended.

• Imogen (5/5): Lovely cottage and area but there are some big problems with the cleanliness! - The kitchen and bathroom weren't very clean at all! There were still crumbs on the toaster I'm guessing from the previous guests - the bathroom was poor!! I had to clean the bath before I could bathe my granddaughter! The roller blind had mould on it and the shelf above the sink was quite disgusting to be honest

Close to Cirencester and Bibury for a wander around and the pub at the end of the village road is lovely for dinner. Only minor observation was the rainfall shower head is blocked and isn’t very effective.

Simon was a pleasant and helpful host who was quick to offer support if needed. Some areas of the cottage would benefit from an extra thorough clean. Cotton bed sheets would also be a welcome upgrade..

The kitchen was well equipped and I loved cooking a few meals whilst looking out and seeing squirrels running about! We were travelling from the lakes district to Holly Cottage and messaged Simon the owner and he so kindly left the lights on as we arrived late. Will love to stay here again!

He was so kind to leave a handwritten note that truly warmed our heart. The place was impeccably clean, the kitchen was stocked with essentials, the rooms tidy and warm. The place was better than the pictures. Simon was also quite prompt with his replies. A bonus: He had stocked with books and travel guides. Overall: a great and memorable stay!

• Matthew (8/5): Peaceful retreat. - Wonderfully cosy and peaceful. Lovely welcome card and treat bundle. The fire being set to go was a nice touch. The bed linen was so soft and comfy. Loved the cow shed toiletries, would be nice to have the bottle fuller though and they were all low level. I’m sorry to have to say but the housekeeping standard was not as I would have expected. There was a hair clump in the bath on arrival. Large amounts of dust on the floors behind the doors and cobwebs in multiple places. The microwave was not clean. The dishwasher smelt unclean and also had sweetcorn in the bottom of it. The kitchen sink also had hairs in it. I feel awkward for saying this but I work in hospitality and I would be facing guest challenges with this level of cleanliness. The towels also smelt very damp. If this could be addressed then I would give it 10/10.

Clearly stated on the booking page were no hens/stags/parties. We wanted to stay here the night before our wedding, so definitely not a party. Simon was so supportive and offered to help with anything we needed. The cottage was the perfect pre wedding and wedding night accommodation. Tucked away in a beautiful village, with incredible neighbours who were on hand to lend us a generator when the power failed. From start to finish, our stay here was perfect. We will definitely be back to stay here and celebrate our wedding anniversaries. The power failure, but that's when we discovered the wonderful neighbours

• Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cottage with plenty of space for a small group of friends. Beautiful little village with a nice pub down the road. It is close enough to Cheltenham for the festival, and we had a brilliant trip and even got a few wins on Gold Cup day. The house was excellent as our base during the festival and I would happily visit again if when there is no racing! The small garden would be lovely in the summer to enjoy a bbq.

Did not know that until we settled in. 12 minutes to castle Combe to the south. 10 minutes to birbury, 27 minutes to Burton in the water right until upper slaughter and Broadway Tower to the north. Another 2.5 Hr to Liverpool. The cottage is nice, clean, extremely well equipped. Meticulous attention to details to make the short stay a long memorable one. Alhamdulillah. Thank you, Simon. • Lidiya (10/5): Idyllic Cotswold cottage - Loved all the tiny details inside the cottage. The interiors were amazing, the kitchen, the sun room, the TV, the fireplace, the bathroom, everything was as lovely as we could expect. Simon had thought of everything. There are lots of books and board games to unwind, even great Wifi if you prefer that. The smartTV already had Netflix, Disney+, etc. signed in, so movie night was sorted. Lovely and quiet lane even though there was a construction site next door. All the rooms smelled wonderful thanks to all the fragrance reeds around the house. Location wise, just 10 minutes to Bibury, Arlington Row, and Cirencester(nearest town). Would definitely stay here again. This may be nitpicking, but the separate hot and cold water taps for the wash basins in the toilets/bathroom were a bother. Wish it had a mixer. Otherwise, you either get ice cold water or scalding hot water.. nothing in between. Heard this is common in the UK, but it really makes no sense.
• Olivia (10/5): Holly Cottage made our Cotswolds holiday & christmas! - Myself and four friends stayed at the Holly Cottage over Christmas and the whole experience far exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in the Cotswolds, the host was incredible and so helpful! the actual cottage was stunning, such great facilities, comfortable beds and so clean. The kitchen was large and had everything we could possibly need to make christmas dinner for a group of people. We all said that it was the best accomodation experience we have had, we would recommend to anyone we know and all hope to be able to come back to Holly Cottage again. It really made our whole trip!

There are a lot of books and board games and the conservatory is lovely. The location is great to go around the Cotswolds. Wish we could spend more time there. • Catherine (10/5): Perfect break - Arrived in the dark, it took a few minutes to find property. On arrival, everything was excellent. Little treats, milk in fridge, coffee in cupboard. House was warm and very comfortable. The beds and the bed linen were exceptional! Lovely large fluffy towels and duck feather duvets, just perfect. Area was quiet and Cirencester 5 mins away, perfect base to explore! Would highly recommend staying here!

One small note of ‘criticism’ would be that one side of the ceiling in the bedrooms is slanted, so for tall people like myself and my partner, getting around the beds on one side of the beds was a bit awkward, but manageable.
