Our room offered stunning panoramic views and the infinity pool area is breathtaking. The food is outstanding. Breakfast is generous and delicious, and dinners were simply amazing . Clean, comfortable rooms, warm service, and great value. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return in a heartbeat. All was perfect !

• Zoe (10/5): A Balinese Gem - I almost don't want to tell anyone about this gorgeous, secluded, boutique resort. I want to keep it a secret - it's just too special! Ayatara is a small resort, hidden in a valley approximately 1 hour north of Ubud (because of the traffic, not the distance). It is only ~1 year old and so feels fresh and new. Its aesthetic is luxurious, and amenities simple, refined, and executed perfectly. I enjoyed just 4 nights here, staying in a villa with a private pool. I spent most of my time at the resort, in quiet contemplation; reading, eating, and sleeping. It was holiday-perfection. I ate every meal here, enjoying both traditional Balinese, and western dishes. I 'discovered' Bali's famous 'bubur' (chicken porridge), read on the sun-deck by the pool, and had an exquisite in-room 90 minute massage. If rest and relaxation in absolute luxury is what you're seeking, look no further. A sincere thank you to the beautiful staff across the resort; Amik and Usman on the front desk, the wonderful room service team, but most especially, the fabulous restaurant team; Oman and the wonderful hostesses and bar staff - thank you for taking such great care of me, and making me feel so special. I hope to be back one day - if I am very lucky. 🙏

Er zat iets in het zwembadwater, waarschijnlijk teveel koper, waardoor alles van ons groen werd, zelfs van andere toeristen was dat zo. De leiding bleef er maar over liegen, maar het was niet goed. Ze wilden dit ook absoluut NIET vergoedden. Ik ben er nog heel boos over. Mijn dochter had daaedoor groen haar en ik oranje en onze bikini's zijn ook zwaar verkeurd. Schadepost van 480,00 euro

A szálloda környezete gyönyörű és nyugodt, tökéletes kikapcsolódást biztosít azoknak, akik szeretnének egy kicsit elvonulni a hétköznapok rohanásától. A személyzet rendkívül kedves és segítőkész volt, minden kérdésünkre gyorsan és figyelmesen reagáltak. A szobák tiszták, kényelmesek és jól felszereltek, ami nagyban hozzájárult a pihenésünkhöz. Külön kiemelném az ételek minőségét is, minden nagyon finom és friss volt. Összességében egy igazán pozitív élmény volt, bátran ajánlom mindenkinek, aki egy nyugodt, igényes helyen szeretne megszállni. Biztosan visszatérünk!!!

Auch wenn die Lage ein bisschen ausserhalb von Ubud ist haben sie auch sehr nette Taxifahrer und alle sind sehr freundlich.

The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully designed. The heated pool was a great solution since we visited during the rainy season. A very nice touch is the complimentary afternoon tea and coffee with local Indonesian snacks included in the price. The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious, and the service there is also at the highest level. Throughout the entire stay I felt truly special. Ubud is about an hour away from the hotel, but there is also a scheduled transfer included in the price. Amik and Usman, along with the rest of the staff, did everything they could to make our stay exceptional. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace, relaxation, and unique comfort.

The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, we especially loved the bathroom. The big plus thing we loved was the heated 40-meters pool which is something we really enjoyed. There are no words to describe the beauty of this hotel and we hope to be back again next time!
• Stephen (10/5): We stayed at Ayatara three nights ago and it was one of the most memorable stays of our Bali trip. - What truly makes this hotel special is the team. The staff seem to read every wish before you even say it. Whether it is small details or even offering help when you might need medical assistance, they always think one step ahead and genuinely care about your well being. This level of attentive and warm service is something you rarely experience. The hotel itself is beautifully designed. Everything feels thoughtful and refined, creating a very special atmosphere and a relaxed yet elegant vibe. Considering that the hotel is only about one year old, everything still feels fresh, perfectly maintained and very well curated. Normally we rarely eat in hotels because we often find better restaurants outside. Here it was the opposite. We ended up eating at the hotel every single day and were pleasantly surprised by the quality, presentation and overall experience. During our stay we hardly left the hotel, except for a bike ride and a city walk with Usman. The complimentary bicycles are a great benefit. The welcome snacks and afternoon tea were delicious and the breakfast is prepared with real care and attention. Another highlight was the heated pool, which we enjoyed a lot. And one detail that deserves special mention: out of the ten hotels we stayed at during our Bali trip, Ayatara had by far the most comfortable beds. Overall this hotel combines great design, genuine hospitality and a wonderful atmosphere. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back. The only small thing worth mentioning was a slightly humid, musty smell in the room at one point, which can happen in Bali because of the climate. However, as soon as we mentioned it, the staff immediately took care of it and solved the issue quickly.

It was so quiet apart from the chittering and trilling of the jungle inhabitants, and the heated pool…wow! Bearing in mind that we are surrounded by the jungle. A couple of our meals had too many flies hovering around. Several times I was bitten by very small insects. However, the hotel is built into jungle. Both issues can be managed.

• Dr. Ulrich (10/5): Excellent stay in a wonderful resort - would come back anytime - The entire hotel was wonderful for us, as we had looked for a tranquil resort overlooking the jungle. It is in a very large, lush tropical garden setting, very well kept, with a wonderful pool and lot of choice of beautiful room/villa types. Everybody was really nice and proactively helpful. We had absolutely nothing to complain about. Just to let you know, orders sometimes may take a moment (as distances can be a bit larger in this beautiful spacious resort), but never too long and were never forgotten. A big thank you to the entire team for their warm hospitality and excellent service. We would like to mention Nyoman in particular, who represents the kindness of all staff. We would like to mention more staff personally (restaurant, bar, housekeeping and cleaning staff, maintenance staff, gardeners), but we do not know their names - hence I would suggest that management considers name tags for everybody working in the resort.

One who stays here must know that it rains most of the day and is 17 degrees Celsius at night and 24 degrees Celsius day (vs. 30 degrees that are 24/7 in Ubud) so this is cool for people who cannot bare hot weather :) 1.No real vegeteraian food available in the menu for lunch or dinner (excepte risotto) however chef cooked a Curry when was suggested :) 2. A bit muddy swiming pool 3. Altho this hotel is in the jungle firm 60 minutes away from Ubud, there are almost no jungle sounds at night 4.No hot water in the room. But this was fixed with a highest priority 5. Restaurant/bar pricing a bit high for Bali but ok for 5* hotel 6. I would say thay to be a 5*, this hotel needs to sharen up!

We chose Ayatara for our first trip as a married couple and picked a private villa with a pool, a decision we never regretted. We spent nearly two weeks here, and most of that time was happily spent at the resort itself. The service was the best we've ever experienced, set against the most beautiful natural surroundings. It's the perfect place for anyone looking to escape a busy, stressful life and truly unwind. The food was exceptional, the cleanliness was pristine, and our room was bigger and better than the photos suggested, which is usually the opposite with hotels and resorts. We tried the massage and yoga, both of which were so good that going back to European standards will be difficult. The restaurant menu was so extensive that we were still discovering new dishes after ten days. And the cocktails? Among the best we've had anywhere—London, Zurich, Paris, Copenhagen, New York, Chicago, or any other city where you'd expect to find a world class mixologist. • Henrik (10/5): - Ayatara Resort Ubud was such a peaceful place to stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed. Surrounded by lush greenery and rice fields, the resort feels quiet and nicely tucked away. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with every wish and wants, which made us feel very welcome. The Food and restaurant was amazing we didn’t want to eat anywhere else. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and spending time by the pool just enjoying the calm atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, and we’d happily stay there again.

Although a bit far from the town and bustle , that’s the part I enjoyed the most and easily accessible with hotel drivers or a grab :) The incredible and kind driver who fetched me and ensured I was safe with my family in Ubud city. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who make you feel so welcome, comfortable and relaxed. The Villa we booked was perfect! we got some much needed rest from our busy lives! The Spa treatments were phenomenal and affordable. The Room was one of the most luxurious high quality rooms I have stayed in having travelled to over 50 countries. The activities were great and we can't wait to return with our families! Given that the resort opened recently, the menu options weren't as expansive as I had hoped - similarly, we thought the breakfast would be a buffet style but it was A La Carte... I do understand because resort has been open for about 3 months. That being said I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AS IT WAS PHENOMENAL! Not only is it a beautiful resort, the people are excellent and I can't wait to see the day where the entire resort will be booked out years in advanced <3 <3 <3 Go Ayatara Go!!!

• Lola (9/5): - This was a great base for exploring the most beautiful places in the north of Bali. We rented a scooter directly here and explored amazing, less touristy areas. Although scooter rental prices were higher compared to places like Tabanan or other luxury hotels we stayed at, the overall experience was very positive. The pool was pleasantly warm, which was perfect during the winter months. After riding north and getting caught in the rain, the warm pool and bath were the best part of the day. The room was beautiful and very spacious, the staff were kind and helpful, and the food was excellent. The bathroom is half open to the room, which might not suit everyone. It would be worth considering adding doors or offering alternative room options, as there was a noticeable smell from the drainage in the room. We had to use incense to make it more comfortable.

Luxe, genot en service is wat je kan verwachten. Het personeel is heel aardig en heel beleefd. Ze doen er alles aan om je tevreden te stellen. De atmosfeer en omgeving is vrij rustig en je hebt volledig privacy De locatie is niet heel dichtbij drukke gebieden. Je moet minstens 40 min reizen met de auto om de drukte in te komen

When we mentioned that we were hungry, he thoughtfully phoned the resort ahead of time to ensure someone would be expecting us — a small but meaningful gesture that made us feel truly cared for. Check-in was fast and seamless, and we were greeted with cool towels and a welcome drink and a delicious meal after our journey. The restaurant staff — Sri, Mila, Oman, and Dwita — were outstanding: warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, making every dining experience a highlight of our stay. We were then escorted to our villa, where the finishes, cleanliness, and comfort were absolutely impeccable. We booked the 2 bedroom family villa and we enjoyed how spacious and functional it was. The infinity pools, both in the villa and at the main resort, offered stunning views of lush greenery and created a serene, luxurious atmosphere. We also booked a day tour through the hotel, and once again everything was flawlessly organized — seamless from start to finish. Throughout our stay, we experienced authentic Balinese hospitality at its finest. We truly didn’t want to leave and will absolutely be back. Ayatara Resort delivers an exceptional experience in every way. We needed an escape from our busy western lifestyle and found our paradise in paradise;-)

The staff were amazing and so helpful. It was a little too secluded for us. We didnt see many others around and was quite far from the airport. It was also more expensive than other areas.

• Greta (10/5): Great resort - The property is absolutely beautiful. We booked villa with private pool which was stunning and room was very clean and staff were very kind and helpful. Unfortunately we checked out 2x days earlier as there was not much else to do, very limited activities in the resort. Apart from that, everything was excellent and would definitely recommend to stay here for anyone wanting to relax and unwind.

All the staff are always welcoming with smiles and made a special effort to make a cocktail for us that was not listed. We enjoyed a 1:1 yoga practise and complimentary afternoon tea which was delicious. Thank you for making our stay special. Having to leave!
