- Gabrielle (2/5): - Clean Booked the accommodation for a family of five, photos show sofas, family seating areas etc but on arrival our apartment had a two seater sofa in the kitchen which was not what we booked. Sofa was uncomfortable. The safety latch on the window by the sofa was broke which is obviously a safety hazard for children.

- JOHN (9/5): Had a great family reunion, very comfy stay. - Its location, clean, comfy. The Internet for the apartment didn’t work but we jumped onto another apartment. That’s ok for the phones or tablets but not the tv. So we had no tv, though I had tried to connect to another apartment. TV isn’t vital but should work.

Only had deposit refunded 2 weeks after stay when I contacted them, apparently due to a system fault. Very disappointing. Won’t stay again.

- Lynne (6/5): Great place, but front door was jammed and locked me out! - Clean and comfortable. Great location. Plenty takeaway food options right on the doorstep. Very nice decor. Front door jammed. Went to Darlington with my sister to visit my niece who lives there and has just had a baby. Arrived Friday night, settled in then I went across the road for pizzas. Couldn't get back into the apartment block as door would not open. Code was correct but the door would not budge . Tried all the buzzers but no response. Sister had fallen asleep. Did not realise there was a back door to the property. Did not see this written anywhere on the details. Was at night so could not get in touch with the property people. Was locked out for 2 hours. Went to local pub to keep warm and keep calling my sister. After 2 hours I decided I had to get another hotel. Went back to property to video how the door would not unlock. Code was correct, just the door was jammed. When I went back to video it, the door opened! Spent 50 quid on another hotel that I did not use and could not get a refund on. Realised the next morning there was a back door, on another street. No indication of this on the apartment details.
- Laura (5/5): Could be a nice place to stay with a good clean and some maintenance. Make sure you get your damage deposit back! - Good central location and the apartment was a good size. Beds were clean and comfy. The apartment needs a deep clean and some maintenance, there was a hole in the bedroom wall, broken mirror and the tv didn’t work in the lounge. Small changes could make the apartment much nicer. Unfortunately the communal areas of the building smelt of cigarette smoke. I had to chase our damage deposit 3 times before we had any response.

- Theresa (6/5): Not what you expect .. - I liked it was big enough for us and was close to where we had to go, had good heaters On first impression when you walk in its nice ,but in it an hour you see door handles falling off ,towels were damp and placed in rooms ,hairs on bedding and hairs on couch ,stuff left in dish washer spoons in drawer were dirty and the beds were due snapping by the sounds of it and the plate under the mattress was just disgusting.

- Sophie (10/5): Excellent stay, thank you - Fantastic stay, we stayed for work and the place was super clean, the cleanest apartment I've ever stayed in. Access was easy, just make sure the front door of the building is pushed closed. We are booked to stay again soon and I'll be using this apartment when travelling to the area for work again. Highly recommend. Nothing.

Unless you can provide a transactional audit on the booking for both rooms, I am going to asess some skullduggery involved.

- Mark (7/5): Great apartment with terrible beds - Really well-appointed apartment in a very attractive period building (former Salvation Army headquarters) close to Darlington Town Centre, with free on-street parking round the back. Lovely bathroom with a good shower. Badly let down by the quality of the mattresses (terrible) which, sadly, made it very difficult to sleep. Such a shame because all the other facilities were great.

Very large, very well kitted out with everything you could possibly need and exceptionally clean and tidy. Check-in was simple using a door code. Location was very convenient for town and train station. The bed could have been a little more comfortable in the room that contained just a double bed. It's likely that the mattress needs changing. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

- Konrad (9/5): Świetna lokalizacja - Bardzo wysoki standard. Czysto, dobrze wyposażona kuchnia. Cicha okolica. Zameldowanie bezkontaktowe, łatwe. Stacja kolejowa w zasięgu 15-20 minut pieszo. Niedaleko muzeum kolejnictwa Hopetown. Musiałem upomnieć się o zwrot kaucji, ale właściciel obiektu nie robił z tym problemu. Środki dotarły po kilku dniach od zgłoszenia. To jedyne co można nazwać minusem, sam obiekt był bardzo przyjemny!

Great little real ale pub just along the road too. Could have done with an iron!

- Kathryn (3/5): Accommodation is great itself... stench of cannabis vile - The apartment was lovely clean, modern and had everything needed. The door to the apartment was unlocked and open on our arrival, and didnt close properly meaning you had to physically pull the door handle to shut the door, the door know was so close to the frame I injured my hand closing the door twice. The horror smell of cannabis on the bottom floor meant I had to move my 11 year old son up to our from our apartment to sleep in our friend's room on her sofa on the 3rd floor.

- Wright (9/5): Apartment at the back was quiet and very comfortable. - Apartment very clean and comfortable. Well equipped for self-catering although we made very little use of the equipment. Our twin-bed apartment was on the ground floor at the back and was very quiet - rooms at the front could have been noisy as Northgate is a very busy road. We could not make the television work. I called the office and was advised that it was controlled through an app but we still couldn't fathom out how to make it work - quite a disappointment. The click-clack valve in the bathroom washbasin leaked and it was necessary to keep the tap running when washing and wet-shaving - what a waste of hot water!

The tv had wifi but not even basic channels and whilst there was a router there was no information about it or the password so couldn’t be used! The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever tried to sleep on.

Easy free road parking on the back The beds in this particular apartment were extremely uncomfortable with springs poking through the cheap mattress. I have stayed previously in one of the other apartments on this property with comfortable beds so the issue seems to be with this apartment.

- Nicol (5/5): Good apartment let down by a cheap uncomfortable bed - Well decided and clean Having spent considerable money on the rooms, it is crazy to buy a cheap uncomfortable bed which felt like a bag of springs.
- Ittret (7/5): Very pleasant, great shower! - Best bits: host contact was quick, the apartment was clean and well kitted out, but by far the best thing was the awesome shower! Less good: some niggles such as: uncomfortable pillows (but concede this personal taste), the tv needs looking at (when connected to internet, you can open Netflix etc, but it will not play anything- same with all tv apps).

- Justin (3/5): Good location, requires proper management at the property to control occupants and ensure cleanliness! - Location Was Good. Adequate For Use Dirty, marks that looked like bogeys over the bedroom walls, sheets smelt like male deodorant meaning possibly not cleaned, made me suffer with bad breathing and I never suffer with that. Every other apartment occcupant was loud with stomping around, slamming doors constantly after 2 in the morning. Was not a relaxing stay at all and left all of us in bad feelings.
