Guest Reviews
- Rue (7/5): - The location That we had no towels
- Paul (8/5): Great stay. Neighborhood was great. Overall, the property served our purpose. Beds were comfortable. - Very pleasant to deal with. Very accommodating. Some of the basics were a little lacking. Not enough towels. Bathrooms not really stocked.
- Florin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (5/5): Review of Hickory Haven - The house was nice with 2 bathrooms and a modern kitchen. The couch was fine and the beds comfortable enough.
We had to call the owner a couple of times and she came over to fix some of the issues. The house was not as clean as you would expect. The kitchen equipment was very basic and the cheapest quality. In the hall the stuck on hooks fell off . The downstairs bathroom mats were stained and need replacing.
There are no hooks in the bathroom or downstairs bedroom. The furniture was old or very basic and not at all homely or aesthetic.
The sink in the upstairs bathroom was blocked.
There weren't any instructions about the TV ( just a steaming service) , washer/dryer ( dryer didn't work well on combined cycle and I couldn't figure out how to just dry) , central heating.
- Laura (4/5): Disappointing and would not recommend. - The location was suitable for our stay in London although it was further than first thought to get to the overground. The house was very spacious and light. The living space was well presented with basic seating for our stay. The price fitted within our budget. I was able to contact the owner and discuss things mainly with ease. The outdoor area was unkempt and not as advertised with multiple weeds from, side and back. The hallway had exposed wires and cracks in the wall. All bedding in all 4 bedrooms had stains and the towels were also not clean. The house was advertised as having 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom but there was only 3 doubles and 1 single bedroom. The kitchen has crockery on the drainer, crumbs and stains in the microwave, used cutlery and a chip in the cutlery drawer, a missing skirting board panel under oven, and a stain on the floor. At the back door was multiple cigarettes butts. There was used laundry in the laundry basket and used toothpaste and deodorant in the bathroom as if someone was living there.
- Justin (7/5): Good -
- Luke (10/5): Very clean and well equipped, perfect for a family and great location. We had a comfortable stay. - The house was very clean, it had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable also. Location is very good - Lidl and Tesco nearby. The spacious on-site parking is also a big plus. Maybe a few clothes pegs for the outside line and some dishwashing tablets could be supplied? More plates and bowls would also be handy.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent, comfortable, would stay again - Location was excellent, we drove and had off street parking. Used local bus and underground to get in and out of London.
All amenities in the house and the host was A+ in communication.
- Fahmida (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and clean
Spacious with bedrooms
