Guest Reviews
- Langford (7/5): We enjoyed our stay - Cosy and large Broken toilet brush and toilet seat is loose.
No iron
- Arthur (7/5): Perfectly serviceable for a couple of nights. - Really well positioned for exploring Blakeney. Big kitchen/laundry area. No fitted sheets, no mattress underlay so you end up sleeping directly on mattress. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for a place that accommodates six and a hike to store to top up, so BYO! Good kitchen undermined by flimsy utensils so really only good for heating things up. Had to go round plugging in heaters with plugs that said ‘do not unplug’ so first 4 hours was just warming up house.
- Jayne (8/5): Lovel cottage, shame about the gardens! - Lovely layout of rooms, and all good sizes. Great location for us as we had mother’s funeral in Blakeney church and refreshments at harbour rooms. Both walking distance. Parking, or even pulling up to drop off stuff not really possible. But worse thing by far was state of front and back gardens. They had been totally neglected and just a couple of hours work could have had them tidied up!
We found the place quite well kitted out, except couldn’t find an iron. Also mattresses on bunk beds very uncomfortable.
- Antony (10/5): Wonderful place, great home, loved the seclusion, the big garden , fab place. - great place very big, well decorated, nice relaxed look, everything worked, loads of space, secluded gardens, outdoor eating space, well equiped kitchen, utility. Comfy beds !! blackout curtains !! Very quiet at night. It needs a house number that can be seen from the road , impossible to find, had to ask around neighbours. Directions need updating, there is no delicatessen in the road. Parking was just about dooable in the £7 a day car park but never in the road and car park has only about 10-12 spaces i would say summer time parking nearby big challenge.
- Matina (8/5): Nice cottage, great location - Location in the centre of Blakeney is perfect. Nice style of cottage, spacious and also cosy. Welcome pack, board games & books available. Nice size kitchen diner. Lovely area. Garden a bit scruffy, shower not the strongest, main bed mattress could do with replacing.
Norfolk cottage company called and messaged me numerous times to pay full amount for cottage even though I was well within the deadline from booking.com to pay, and had already put down a deposit. I found this off putting before I started my stay.
- Mikej (9/5): Lovely village, great accommodation. Will visit again. - Fantastic village and lovely accommodation. A little dusty in places, but forgiveable. Suitable for a large family. Parking is in a paid parking area. The road (High Street?) is very narrow and should really be a one-way road. Would have appreciated a warning about this and comments about the parking.
- John (6/5): Delightful village, good base, house tired in parts - Location in the village; generally good-sized rooms; welcome bag of crisps / apple juice, etc. Lounge sofas look worn, were too low and too deep. Outside garden furniture was below par - seat at back broken; table and chairs at front dirty from being left out in the open. Garden very untidy, looking like no care for several months. Towel rail would not heat up. Maintenance book had no pages left to note.
- David (9/5): We had a good stay and would stay there again - Easy access via a lock box. Excellent location in heart of the village. There is no parking but the paid lot is about 25 metres away and only £6 for 24 hours. It's has good sized rooms and is warm. There is a useful guide book to the area with local recommendations etc. The board games were welcome. Could do with a few more basic things in the kitchen like salt/pepper, more bowls and a cutting board, and the garden is a bit untidy.
