• Archangel777 (10/5): Calme, repos, et sérénité - Suite à une offre sur Booking, j'ai pu profiter d'un lieu calme et relaxant. J'ai été très surpris de partager quelques instants avec la patronne d'origine allemande qui m'a fait visiter son lieu qu'elle a créé avec son mari. Avec son mari, ils sont très gentils et authentiques. Prendre soin de leurs clients est important. Le personnel est au petit soin et respectueux. L'hôtel propose un service de taxi pour aller visiter différents lieux (un peu cher à mon goût) je pense qu'à ce prix là, ils pourraient inclure le prix d'entrée) Rien avec l'hôtel. Juste que la plupart des Egyptiens sont épuisants.

• Marcin Bednarz (10/5): Best place to stay in Egypt!! Thank you!!! - The best place we stayed in during our trip to Egypt. The owners are incredibly friendly, and the staff as well. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming from the very beginning. The place is full of colors and has a wonderful atmosphere, located in a peaceful rural area. Inside, there are many cozy corners where you can sit among banana trees or relax on the terraces while admiring the beauty of Egypt. The pool was very clean and honestly excellent. We truly hope you continue to grow, and that one day we will come back to stay with you again. We highly recommend this place and thank you for your hospitality.
• Matthias Schug (10/5): - Nile Compound ist eine Oase der Ruhe mit wundervoll grünem Gelände. Das Beste ist das zuvorkommende, freundliche und witzige Personal. Die Gastgeber sind Deutsche oder haben lange in Deutschland gelebt, sie haben uns sehr warm empfangen. Das Hotel ist sauber sowie wirklich hübsch und grün. Unsere Beste Unterkunft während des Ägyptenurlaubs.
• Zöllner (5/5): - Das Bedienungspersonal ist katastrophal, an drei von fünf Tagen fehlte irgendwas beim Frühstück und es waren maximal 10 Gäste,uns eingeschlossen zu der Zeit untergebracht.,für die DREI! Kellner zuständig waren.Die Krönung war daß wir einen Morgen eine ganze Stunde auf das einfach Lokale BROT warten mussten,und das auch erst nachdem yussuf ein Machtwort gesprochen hatte. Tut mir leid,aber wir waren schon mehrfach dort zu Gast, aber das werden wir uns gründlich überlegen ob wir dort noch einmal buchen.. Das Bedienungspersonal am Pool
• Delannoy (9/5): Très bon rapport qualité prix - Le personnel était incroyablement sympathique, très aidant, attentionnés et à l'écoute. Le restaurant de l'hôtel était très bon. La piscine faisait beaucoup de bien dans une zone aussi chaude ! Il y a des petits chats partout dans l'hôtel ! L'hôtel est loin du centre ville donc moins accessible sans chauffeur privé.

Mais toujours des tuk-tuks pour nous déposer où on veut. Nous étions dans un grand appartement avec une très belle vue ! Le personnel était incroyable avec nous, toujours le sourire et avec de l’humour ❤️ Ils ont eu plein de jolies attentions pour les 2 ans de notre fille 🙏 Le jardin est trop agréable avec coin piscine / repos / billard et plein de beaux endroits pour manger les très bons plats du resto ! • Yahya (1/5): Mauvaise expérience, nous avons dû quitter les lieux et prendre un autre logement - Le gérant est disponible et réactif, il a été arrangeant Nous sommes arrivés tard dans la soirée car notre bus a eu du retard et ils nous ont donné une chambre poussiéreuse. Le logement paraissait vieux, les lumières ne fonctionnaient pas et la porte du frigo ne se fermait pas. Nous avons demandé l’annulation et nous sommes partis.
• Nathalie (7/5): - Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt. Ein süsses Guesthouse mit einem schönen Garten. Unser Zimmer war großzügig und nett eingerichtet. Es war ruhig und auf der Dachterrasse konnte man auf den Nil blicken. Freundliches Personal. Gut zu wissen: Das Haus ist etwas weiter ab vom Schuss, man braucht immer ein Tuktuk um zu den meisten Restaurants zu kommen oder zum Hafen, was aber ok ist, wenn man es weiß. Das Haus stellt einen TukTuk Fahrer zur Verfügung, der mal schneller oder langsamer abholen kommt. Leider habe ich eine negative Erfahrung mit der Rechnung gemacht. Ich brauchte diese für meine Buchhaltung und auch nach mehreren Anfragen habe ich einfach keine bekommen. Das finde ich sehr komisch bei einem laufenden Betrieb und auch wirklich ärgerlich.

The atmosphere around the pool in the evening is lovely and the gardens and terraces are very nice(but need refurbishment). The place needs repairs, it's very dusty, the sheets and towels etc are ratty & not good quality. The kitchenette isn't clean & for example the kettle was unusable...

• Sören (7/5): - Wir haben zwei Nächte in einem großzügigen Apartment mit großem Balkon und Blick über Pool bis zum Nil verbracht. Das Frühstück war gut. Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Insgesamt eine hübsche Anlage, die jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Bis zum eigentlichen Zentrum der Westbank mit Restaurants und dem Fähranleger auf die andere Seite sind es allerdings etwa 3 km Fußweg. Insgesamt wirkte alles etwas renovierungsbedürftig. Das Wi-Fi war sehr schlecht, teilweise ganz ausgefallen.
• Umair (8/5): Really loved it natural environment and the respect from staff - High tag accommodations do have better facilities but the respect and attentiveness of staff received is unforgettable. Bathroom and kitchen facilities need to improve but in this price no complaints. Location is bit too remote if you are a first timer, better stay on east side of nile.
• Abhirup (10/5): Amazing Hospitality - We truly appreciated the staff, their behavior was warm, punctual, and filled with a subtle, witty sense of humor that made the stay even more enjoyable. The food was wholesome and satisfying, and the overall ambiance offered a rare sense of serenity. Cleanliness was impeccable throughout the property. I especially loved the pool, the relaxing poolside lunches, and the delightful dinner and breakfast experiences. The terrace added a special charm, providing a perfect spot to unwind. Last but not least, the staff’s dry humor was a memorable highlight. Given the opportunity, I would gladly return to Egypt and spend a few more days at the Nile Compound again. Nothing as such.

• Paul (10/5): Ein unvergesslicher und wunderbarer Aufenthalt! - Der Aufenthalt im "Nile Compound" war wirklich wunderbar! Angefangen hat es damit, dass wir angekommen sind und wir kostenlos ein Zimmer-Upgrade bekommen haben. Mit einem wunderbaren Blick auf den Nil. Überall gibt es Bereiche, wo man sich aufhalten kann (auf den Dachterrassen mit Bildblick zum Beispiel), aber auch an dem sehr schönen Pool, oder auch bei den Liegen in Nil-Nähe. Die beiden Besitzer waren vor Ort und wir konnten uns auf deutsch unterhalten und haben einige hilfreiche Tipps erhalten und nette Gespräche geführt. Von Massagen, geführte Touren uns sogar Ballon-Fahrt konnte uns alles von dem Hotel aus organisiert werden. Wir waren nur 4 Nächte, aber man könnte definitiv mehr Zeit dort verbringen, da Luxor so viel Sehenswertes bietet, aber auch, weil diese Unterkunft zur Entspannung einlädt und man auch den ganzen Tag dort ohne Probleme verbringen kann! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder ❤️ Nichts

Mahmoud and Elsa were always very helpful, as was the entire staff. They helped us organise tours and always had excellent advice.

• Ulrike (10/5): - Das Hotel ist eine kleine Oase mit viel Grün, Pflanzen, Blumen und schöner Atmosphäre mit viel Deko und netter Beleuchtung Abends. Man hat von mehreren Dachterrassen aus einen tollen Blick über Bananen-Plantagen hinweg auf den Nil und Luxor. Der Pool im Garten ist beheizt und bietet drumrum viele nette Sitzgelegenheiten und Liegen. Das Frühstück wird ebenfalls im Garten serviert und ist sehr gut mit Obst, Gemüse, Eier... Die Küche öffnet gegen 12 Und und das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker. Besonders zu empfehlen "Umm Ali" zum Dessert. Ilse und Mahmoud (die Besitzer) sprechen beide auch Deutsch und helfen gerne bei Fragen weiter. So organisieren sie z.B. auch Taxifahrer für Ausflüge. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, sauber und ruhig! Wir können dieses Hotel nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt!

• Sakurako (9/5): - The location was quiet and calm compared to the East bank of the Nile, which is where the city is. The view from the roof top was great, you can see the east bank with the Nile, and also you can see the hot air balloons going up in the morning. The staff were attentive and were very polite, the property was spacious and clean, and the front gate was closed and locked so that felt safe too. They can also arrange day tours for you as well as cars to the ferry port, airport, which was very helpful! They also have a lot of cats running around, which is very cute. The shower went cold for a couple of hours, but if you let the manager know they will check the heat g for you and it should get hot again.

• evelyn (10/5): Super Aufenthalt, danke an das Team! - Tolle Ausgangslage für sämtliche Luxor Ausflüge, schöner Ausblick, chillige Atmosphäre im Hotel mit vielen netten Plätzen zum Entspannen. Wir waren als Familie da und für alle war es der schönste Platz auf unserer Reise. Personal war sehr freundlich und erfüllte alle Wünsche! Essen war super! Kommunikation mit Hotelmanager Mammoud war unkomplizierte und es wurde immer rasch geantwortet und gut organisiert. Alles perfekt!

• Michael (10/5): Fantastischer Aufenthalt für guten Preis - Uns hat die offene und einladende Atmosphäre sehr gut gefallen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und kümmern sich um jedes Anliegen. Man merkt, dass hier Liebe drin steckt. Im Vergleich zu anderen Aufenthalten in Ägypten wird man hier offen und fair behandelt. Besonders gefallen hat uns auch die Anlage. Hier gibt es einen schöne Poolanlage, tolle Parkananlage und schöne Möglichkeiten zum Frühstück genießen. Auch die Zimmer sind geräumig und gemütlich. Vorallem das Badezimmer ist sehr groß und es gab genügend Ablageplatz. Im Vergleich zu den neuen Nile Compound Garden sind die Zimmer etwas älter und das merkt man an ein paar Punkten. Ansonsten waren wir sehr positiv überzeugt von unserem Aufenthalt.

The grounds and gardens are lovely and the pool is a welcome respite after being out on tours siteseeing. The staff are excellent and always go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable. The owners Mahmoud and Ilse treat all guests as if they were family.

Felouca and balloon or guided trips... all possible. Best greetings at Adham and Mahmoud, Ingrid and all the rest. Nothing.
• S. (10/5): Très bonne adresse pour Louxor ouest - L’hôtel a beaucoup de charme et se situe dans la jolie campagne de Louxor, sur la rive ouest, à deux pas du départ des montgolfières. L’endroit est calme, authentique et idéal pour se ressourcer. Le personnel et les propriétaires sont d’une grande gentillesse, très attentifs et à l’écoute, ce qui fait vite oublier le côté un peu vieillot de l’appartement (composé de deux chambres). Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et délicieux, tout comme le dîner. La piscine est très appréciable en fin de journée après des visites sous la chaleur ! Globalement, une adresse que je recommande. L’appartement mériterait un rafraîchissement : matelas fatigués, climatisation très bruyante, portes qui grincent et fenêtre qui ferme mal. L’emplacement est magnifique mais un peu isolé : il faut compter environ 40 minutes pour rejoindre le centre-ville, le musée et les temples de Karnak et de Louxor.
• Noahkmp (9/5): Heerlijke oase van rust aan de Nijl - Hele vriendelijke hosts & personeel. Superlekker ontbijt (genoten van de crêpes). En een heerlijk zwembad in een prachtige tuin.
• Leïla (10/5): - Le lieu est du côté de la rive Ouest, avec une vue sur le Nil. Une parenthèse dans ce séjour en Egypte. Le personnel est très à l'écoute et d'une gentillesse. Je recommande fortement.
• Paul (10/5): Enjoying - The staff were very friendly and helpful in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was large and had everything we needed. The food served was delicious. Location is something to consider…. We had a very interesting and enjoyably memorable felucca sail across the Nile followed by a short tuk tuk ride to the hotel….all part of travel!

• Marie (9/5): Un petit coin de de Paradis...malgré l'environnement alarmant - Super séjour ! Le personnel est vraiment au top, très sympathique et aux petits soins. La chambre était agréable, la piscine très appréciable, et le jardin magnifique. L’endroit est calme, rural et avec une superbe vue sur le Nil. On a aussi très bien mangé, et le service était excellent. Petit bémol : pas de panneau devant la guest house, donc les taxis ont eu du mal à nous trouver, et c’est assez loin du centre de Louxor (de l’autre côté du Nil, environ 45 min de marche malgré la navette en bateau). Un peu isolé, mais parfait pour ceux qui cherchent le calme. Les propriétaires sont adorables — on s’y sent vraiment bien !

• Thomas (10/5): A lovely, peaceful place and well-located as a base for exploring. - The location (quiet area on the West Bank, with an unobstructed view of the river from our balcony). The pool/common areas are beautiful, with shade from pergolas and mature trees/vines. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a simple range of food, nicely prepared and healthy (we ate the salads and had ice in our drinks and didn't get sick) We stayed in one of the older rooms. The furnishings and mattresses were a little older than we expected (albeit all of acceptable quality, and clean and neat)
• Graham (10/5): The perfect oasis away from all the hassle! - Mahmoud and Ilse were the perfect hosts. The property is located in the quieter part of the West Bank and backs straight onto the flood grass land of the Nile offering much needed peace and quiet. The staff were all great and the driver, Hussain, is one of world's few good guys. I will definitely return.

• Alexandra (10/5): - Suuper hotel!!! tiene un encanto especial. Las instalaciones están muy bien, limpias y cuidadas Las vistas al nilo son muy bonitas y los dueños son muy amables. Esta un poco a las afueras pero es perfecto para relajarte fuera de la ciudad y con los taxis todo esta cerc.

La piscina comodissima per rinfrescarsi e passare qualche ora in relax La struttura non è comoda da raggiungere se non con un mezzo proprio e dista una mezz' ora dal centro di Luxor

• Mael (9/5): Petit hotel de charme sur la rive ouest - Joli petit hôtel avec personne aux petits soins. Bien placé dans le quartier ouest de Louxor, au bord du Nil. Piscine, petit déjeuner et dîner possible. Nombreuses chouettes activités reservable via l’hôtel. Je recommande ! Parfois un peu long d’aller sur la rive est

• Gemma (10/5): - Ubicat a la banda oest del riu Nil. És com un oasis. Allotjaments molt amplis, són com apartaments, tot i que hi ha cuina però no està habilitada per utilitzar. Zona comuna amb una piscina molt gran, ideal per refrescar-se de la calor, tumbones i taules per esmorzar i sopar. Personal molt i molt amable, fan tot el que necessitis perquè estiguis com a casa. El menjar excel·lent. Terrassa per veure el sunset i amb vistes al Nil I a Luxor. Barri molt tranquil i amb essència, no turístic i per tant la gent no t'atabala pel carrer com a Luxor. Hi ha petits comerços per poder comprar aigua, begudes, galetes...productes de primera necessitat. A destacar la honestedat del personal de l'allotjament, ens havien cobrat de més i van venir expressament fins a Luxor per tornar-nos els diners. Recomanem l'allotjament 100%. L'únic inconvenient, tot i que per nosaltres no ho va ser és que per anar a Luxor hi ha 30' de manera que haureu de demanar un taxi que us poden demanar des de l'allotjament per uns 15€ per viatge, però si voleu fugir de l'agobio de la gent de Luxor és una opció ideal.
• Diss (10/5): Exceptional - The compound is in an amazing location on the west bank. It was easy for us to get to Habu temple, Hot air ballooning, valley of the king's and is only 30 minutes from the airport. The surrounding area is farming land so it was refreshing to be able to walk around a quieter more genuine part of Egypt. The staff were great also, they would help out with anything we needed and the food from the restaurant was amazing. Thank you all once again for a great stay.

• Aleksandra (8/5): Good for the price. - Amazing staff, very cozy garden Location is not very good. Far from everything, town centre etc. It is quite dangerous area for tourist, and going around on your own is not safe.
• Annemieke (7/5): Good - Our overall experience was fantastic! The staff, food&drinks, the rooms & location...just wonderful! The overall finishing of the rooms needs some finishing especially the bedding. The mattress was great though. Also the water pressure needs some attention.
• Opeyemi (1/5): Don't Stay here! - First this had a wrong address, we didn't realise because the hotel arranged a pickup for us at the airport. On arrival the environment was very dirty and unkempt, room reeking with ants and smelling. The hallway, seats, pool was all very dirty. I would not recommend this to anyone. This sits at thr top of the most disappointing places I've stayed. The pictures are very different from what's obtainable. Everything is dirty.
