Guest Reviews
- Andrea (9/5): Location Location 🥰 - Property needs a light on the side as it's pitch black. Ok on the steps if you leave light on in the evening. Fabulous location property couldn't fault it. Side of property needs a light.
- Caroline (7/5): Good - There was no mention of the steep concrete steps up to the front door, and the dark lane was a bit scary in the dark .
The website said there was parking, but it was actually just in the public carpark a short walk away.
- Ralph (6/5): Loved the town, liked the appartment, didn't like the lack of parking. - Location is excellent - minutes walk to the sea/harbour and pubs/restaurants and small supermarkets - absolutely ideal. The internal facilities offered in the appartment are great - two good sized bedrooms (one twin, one double), each with an adjacent bath/shower room. Plenty of room in the hallway to leave wet coats/shoes (it is Wales after all). Well equipped kitchen with large gas hob, oven/grill, microwave etc. Good selection of crockery/cutlery etc. Spacious lounge area with comfy leather sofas and Sky TV (basic subscription) and wifi. Easy check-in with keys left in a keysafe by the front door. Closer attention to cleaning is needed - particularly things like bathroom extractor fans, hob and the toaster - things that are often overlooked but are good indicators of the level of cleaning provided. It was end of season so it was looking a little tired, particularly the bathrooms - nothing a good clean and lick of paint won't sort out.
Access is via a narrow passageway alongside the house and up some external stairs - not easy with a large/heavy suitcase.
Main problem was lack of parking. This accommodation was booked specifically because it was advertised on Booking.com as having "on-site parking". This is not the case. There are three street parking spaces opposite and slightly down the hill from the property which have daytime duration restrictions, so on arrival it is pure luck as to whether you will be able to park and unload the car. Likewise on departure, there is no guarantee you will be able to load up outside. A parking permit is provided for one of the town's car parks (the "Regency" car park), but this is a good five minutes walk away and not ideal with suitcases/bags etc. In fact, we did not park in the Regency car park at all during our week-long stay, preferring to park in the "no restrictions" section of the street parking up the hill near the school in Frances Lane.
