Guest Reviews
- Ryan (10/5): Absolutely amazing view! -
- Kathryn (9/5): Mountain chalet - Lovely people, beautiful location. Home cooked meal on arrival. Cabin was spacious and warm. Bathroom was a shower with a curtain. Nowhere to put your clotbes.
- Bronwyn (9/5): - Everything! The view, the surprise meal, the cabin and the wild life....just a wonderful couple of days to recharge.
- Vicki (9/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - Great hospitality, even a pasta meal for us. Our dogs were made welcome, and the view was fantastic. Would certainly go again. Everything was fine.
- Chloe (10/5): Perfect little cabin in the woods - The view and the most beautiful peacock getting around
- Charlie (10/5): The Best R&R Retreat - A beautiful place to recharge - exactly what i needed! I loved that there was no WiFi (there is phone signal and 5G if you need it though) and happily hunkered down with a good book, board games and 90s Hugh Grant Rom Com DVDs!
Homemade pasta gifted by the owners in the fridge was a really kind gesture and SO tasty. Felt very welcomed by Wilson :)
My Recommendations:
Flying bean cafe , l0 min walk the road and great coffee!
Rosins Lookout , 5 min drive and excellent sunrise spot
BONUS!
Loved the incense and got some great pictures of a peacock that came to visit! Nothing
- Aymon (10/5): Beautiful quiet cozy spot to unwind and disconnect from busy city lives, absolutely amazing! - Amazing views lovely and cozy and tranquil place to spend time with my wife!
Also hosts make an amazing pasta
- Leigh (10/5): I didn’t want to leave. - The view was absolutely stunning and calming. The chalet was clean and homely. I felt like I was in paradise.

- Fatema (9/5): We really enjoyed our relaxing stay! - Excellent view and location, close to nature, comfy well insulated cabin. Cat friendly. It’s hard to find accommodation which accepts cats. Our boys really enjoyed their stay. They remained busy watching different birds, peacock, and the neighbour’s dog! Since there is a BBQ and no shops within 25 min drive, keeping a roll of aluminium foil and kitchen paper towel wouldn’t harm. Sometimes us travellers forget to bring these small kitchen utility objects.

- Jackson (10/5): Worth it - Great location, awesome view from a quaint timber building. Super cosy - but spacious. So many birds and friendly hosts. Enjoyed the stay! Thank you. Not many drawbacks for me... it's done well.
- Terry (8/5): Very relaxed and a great location for accessing national parks. - The outlook from the chalet is amazing and the atmosphere very restful and comfortable. The complimentary meal on our first night was delicious and a lovely touch. The lounge seating was not very comfortable but improved with the use of pillows. I suggest the addition of cushions would be an improvement.
There is a need for general maintenance of the building but I appreciate the difficulties of maintaining multiple buildings and grounds. The affordable price reflects this.
- Jess (9/5): Exceptional stay, so peaceful and bursting with charm, we will stay longer next time! - The view and the charm of the place are truly enjoyable. The road noise was a bit more than we’d like. The stove also runs very hot (even when turned right down low) so we were careful while cooking.
- Sharyn (5/5): - The view & the bed The musty smell of the whole house even the cupboards the towels didn't smell fresh the BBQ was old & rusty the house wasn't very clean we were very disappointed
- Annemiek (10/5): -
- Justin (9/5): Peaceful stay - The view was spectacular. The host was lovely and the accommodation was exactly as described.
- Fiona (10/5): Relaxing, peaceful retreat!! - Amazing view, love the wildlife, great hosts!! Highly recommend
- Jutamas (8/5): - Close to nature mosquito
- Robyn (10/5): Great option to stay prior to hiking the Border Track - The setting over looking the valley was stunning

- John (9/5): -
- Deb (9/5): - Loved the location, the view, the surrounds, the friendly hosts, the thoughtful touches eg cut flowers, home made meal, candles, incense Nothing
- Ed (9/5): -
- Karin (9/5): Lovely. Great location. - Gorgeous views, very clean, and lovely owners who even left us a pasta dinner (apologies that we had already eaten - it was most sweet of you). We were rushing and forgot to sign the guestbook, but many thanks from the Parks Connect team. It’s a shame we could only stay one night. Peacocks were a bit noisy, but the beautiful gardens and many birds were overall a plus.
- Emma (3/5): Really disappointed - The view I didn't stay. It had a horrible smell of mold and musk. It made my belongings smell of mold and I was only there for an hour. It also had at least 100 wild birds kept on the property within metres of the accommodation and no gates keeping them from coming into the accommodation. They were insanely loud and a complete disturbance for anyone wanting to have a quiet relaxing time.
I tried to contact the owners about this over a week ago with no response.
- Jackson (10/5): - Great location, really nice owners. Had some pasta and sauce ready for our dinner. Very accommodating and friendly.
- Sviatlana (10/5): -
- Shane (8/5): - Beautiful location
Birdlife was cool
- Carmen (8/5): -
- Grant (7/5): We had a very relaxing stay and the pasta and home-made sauce was a lovely touch. Thank you to our h - Picturesque scenery from the balcony and plenty of lovely birdlife. Beds weren't particularly comfortable and there needed to be more pillows.
Bathroom shower curtains needed cleaning or replacing.
- Veronica (9/5): -
- Rick (10/5): Ik wil nog wel een keertje terug - Het gaat hier allemaal om de locatie en die is echt fantastisch. Kleine dingen zoals maar een stopcontact naast het bed, maar dat is op te lossen.
- Tracey (10/5): Relaxing as always. We stay here regularly with our 2 dogs and we just love it. - Quiet. Dog friendly. Hosts make you feel special
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Tracey (10/5): -
- Judith (9/5): Enjoyed it - Location perfect. Comfortable bed. Everything we needed
- Fiona (10/5): Peaceful and Amazing - Amazing views, clean and warm cooked meal in fridge, very quiet we wish we could of stayed longer.
- Wendy (7/5): -
- Nelson (9/5): Cosy relaxed stay, perfect for a couple to switch off and reconnect. - The views were exceptional. Great communication and directions from the hosts. Place was so toasty with everything we needed. The hot water didn’t stay hot for long and unfortunately the iron leaked.
- Charles (10/5): - extremely close to lamington national park, and on another side easy to access to natural bridge.
- Joel (8/5): -
- David (10/5): Just drop your bags, go onto the verandah, and relax. - The serenity, the house was large and comfortable enough for 3-4 adults, all amenities were catered for and entertainment by the birds in the large aviary was an addition to the view and the relaxation of the site. We could not stay longer.
- Belinda (9/5): A very comfortable, enjoyable stay with picture perfect views! - Spacious, beautiful location. Everything was as described. Super comfortable beds. Plenty of towels. Tea, coffee, milk and a vegan pasta meal offered for the first night. The host, Sonny, was so lovely and even offered us a lift to the wedding we were attending! The views were amazing. Would have loved a hot shower but the water was luke warm at best. We self catered as there's nothing much nearby and found the knives blunt, so a quick sharpen of the kitchen knives would be helpful.
- Jenni (8/5): -
- Natalia (10/5): Truly magical experience. Beautiful nature, stunning views, friendly host, will definately come back - Amazing views, beautiful location, super friendly hosts, comfy beds, very charming place overall , loved the old school board games! N/a
- Susan (8/5): Great view - Great views, and owners were very helpful.Great hikes nearby. There was ready-made pasta sauce waiting on arrival, very responsive to any questions I had. The wildlife around was interesting for the kids. It's very far from any shops, so when you run out of supplies, it's a long drive to the nearest supermarket. Very cold in winter although there are heaters.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Delightful stay, comfort & easy. - Great location, stunning view & easy access to local sights.
Comfortable bed & everything needed for a pleasant stay.
Lovely hosts (thank you for the pasta & sauce, it was delicious).. Cold bathroom & water didn’t get very hot.
- Bryan (10/5): -
- Kim (7/5): Definitely be back for a longer stay. - Beautiful scenery, no other cabins in sight.
Being able to have dog with us. Maybe a bit of maintenance inside cabin. Better gate at entrance to verandah for dog.
- Rafila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tina (10/5): So relaxing and peaceful, warm, clean and a wonderful host. A beautiful homemade tomato pasta. Thanks Sonny 😊 - The view, the house being so warm and homey. Gorgeous personal touches throughout the house. The wildlife and a wonderful host. Absolutely nothing
- Alexis (9/5): Superb -
- Ploynapas (10/5): Stunning View with the Nice & Cosy Place!! - We’d been here for the birthdays getaway. Such a perfect trip! Stunning View & Surroundings! Nice, Clean & Cosy place. Facilities and heaters were great. The vegan food the host prepared for us was yummy. Very much worth the price. Sonny & his father are so kind and the best host ever. Thank you for everything. A bit wet for bathroom.
- Russell (10/5): Exceptional - The stay was so lovely and had a spectacular view! The place was also very clean and had a great selection of DVD movies and board games as well as a comfy living room and kitchen set-up. Also loved the already made pasta they had prepared for us! so delicious! My partner and I loved our cabin get-away and are definitely going to be returning to this magnificent place, one night was not long enough !
- Robyn (9/5): Superb -
- Jenni (9/5): Superb -
- Campbell (9/5): Superb -
- Lexie (10/5): Exceptional - What an incredible view to wake up to! We had a great stay. It was cosy and close to the venue of a wedding we were attending.
Particular shout out to the complementary pasta, which we absolutely polished off. We were just in town for one night and I didn't think to organise food, but it was exactly what we needed. Delicious!
- Jose (9/5): Superb -
- Neville (10/5): A relaxing special event. - The welcome and meal waiting for us were amazing. The dog was right at home. It was warm, cosy and a beautiful scenic outlook to wake up to. It was peaceful and the chalet was decorated beautifully with everything down to DVD, games and cds supplied. The hot water could have been hotter
- Rachtanakorn (8/5): Perfect for weekend stay with beautiful view - We stayed there for a wedding at Providence, it was beautiful. Fully equipped, two bedrooms, spacious and the owner even gave us a beautiful dinner. The place does not have internet, but the reception up there is perfect (Optus)
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful little chalet with a beautiful outlook and friendly hosts.
- Chris (9/5): Peaceful and tranquil with mountain views - A beautiful chalet with a gorgeous view overlooking the mountains, very peaceful and tranquil. The perfect location as a home base to come home to after exploring hikes and waterfalls at Binna Burra, Lamington NP and Springbrook NP. The chalet was cozy with very comfortable beds, two separate bedrooms, stocked with plenty of boardgames. Nice outdoor BBQ and balcony alfresco area overlooking the mountain range. The only thing it lacked was an oven, laundry facilities and WiFi, but there was ample reception with Telstra, so no complaints. Some kitchen staples were lacking such as tea bags and pepper.
- Wayne (8/5): Attending a wedding and the stay was ideal - View and location Nothing
- Leonard (6/5): Good spot with great view. - Location was great. Great views. Good host. Friendly warm welcome.
- Anna (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (9/5): Superb -
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - Pronounced mildew odor, maybe unavoidable after heavy rain, but it was a negative for us.
- Gai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenn (9/5): Total relax in the clouds - A lovely place for a total relax. The cloud came in, the night chilled, the heater went on and the wine was opened. A great place to stay.
- Diane (9/5): Superb - Perfect location close to the wedding venue - hosts were fabulous and even provided supplies for a meal. After the cyclone, they had no power for a few days and they updated us throughout.
- Helen (6/5): It was a novelty stay. - Location great.size of property great.view great.lots of entertainment provided.ie board games music dvd.nice.comfy beds comfy lounge room. Property is a little tired .could be tidied up/cleaned more...and a couple of sit back look at the view chairs would have been nice on the veranda.
- Richard (7/5): Good -
- Tracey (10/5): Wonderful getaway in the mountains ! - Everything N/A
- Sagar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Akram (10/5): Exceptional -
- Savannah (8/5): Little slice of paradise - Beautiful chalet and absolutely lovely hosts! Breathtaking views and so peaceful.. Great selection of movies for entertainment when it rained and loved seeing all their birds, the peacocks and guineafowls. Went for a walk down to the school where a community markets was being held and the people were very friendly and outgoing. The place looks like it could use a little love, I'm unsure about budget, it was maintained rather well though and all facilities were still accessible, just a couple things we noticed around the chalet. We really enjoyed our stay though!
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely beautiful and spacious property. Owners are very friendly and provided complimentary food. Love the beautiful birds and peacocks around the house.
- Rav (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet, scenic, beautiful place. Escape the heat and into the clouds. The host was kind and helpful. Love the place. Clean and tidy.
- Shapcott (7/5): Good accomodation but has the potential to be amazing. - Good layout of cabin. All though the cabin was clean, it didn’t smell fresh due to being a pet friendly stay.
Need to provide bath mat and air freshener.
Lighting inadequate throughout cabin.
