- weeterrier (1/5): - Location Rude, unwelcoming staff
- weeterrier (1/5): Great place
Unfriendly staff - The location is second to none. Beautiful setting on the Shore The staff were beyond rude and unfriendly. We checked in then went to other places in the stunning Boca de Yuma just to avoid the staff.
Air conditioning didn't work
- Erwin (8/5): Aufenthalt in Boca de Yuma - Zimmer gut, Restaurant sehr gut

On a adoré! Rien
- Perrachon (10/5): - Super endroit pour être au calme
Mélange de luxe et simplicité
Une vue imprenable
- Otto (6/5): Nice and quite place in not so nice place. - Nice and quiet place with sea view, only 5 rooms by the restaurant with pool. Rooms are spacious and clean although with basic equiment only. Breakfast in nearby restaurant is basic and takes ages to get it (just simple toast and eggs). No one speaks english (which is fine, just be aware of it). Internet works only in the restaurant, not at your room). The place - means Boca de Yuma - is very simple, not good for longer stays (say above 2 nights) and surrounding places are full of plastic garbage (as no one cares).
- Jiří (9/5): Krásné a klidné místo S nádherným výhledem na moře. Ideální pro trávení volného času. Na okraji městečka mimo turistický - Vlastní poloha ubytování v krásným výhledem na moře. V jednom pokoji nešla vypnout klimatizace. Špatný signál Wi-fi na pokojích.
- Rolf (8/5): - Super Lage
einladender Pool
exzellentes Fischrestaurant Bad überholungsbedürftig

- Johannie (4/5): Not a great experience. - The place view. Same as last year, no improvement. Air conditioning dripping entire time, therefore water all over bedroom, no AC. I almost felt from water at room. Fan works on the other direction. Unfortunately, bed sheets no clean enough. No early breakfast, starts at 9am. No swimming pool towers for nobody.

- Caroli (10/5): - Posto incredibile, visuale mozzafiato. Il mio soggiorno presso il Bocaino è stato molto rilassante e rigenerante. Il proprietario, Edoardo, è una persona molto cortese e cordiale. Spero di ritornarci quanto prima.
- Cruz E (1/5): - Employees are friendly Pool was dirty, A/C don't work properly, maintenence is poor, poor breakfast.
- JAIME (9/5): -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Jane (9/5): Beautiful location, very comfortable rooms, appealing aesthetic. Quiet and relaxing. - The owner is very nice! The place is set up so everyone has a nice view from your bed. Lots of views of the water all around! Also cozy and comfortably small. A sophisticated vibe. Really like the natural feel of the space, the cotton, the wood, the sea views, the plants. Nice simple photo art of the DR.. Dinner was delicious. Love the location! Near the national park and town. The staff the days we were there seemed a little burnt out and unenthused, not especially welcoming. But they performed all needed tasks and nothing was amiss. They responded to our needs and no problems at all. We had what we needed. Would like to have some fruit or avena/oatmeal at breakfast. I don't eat eggs or meat so only option was toast.
- Michelle (10/5): Hidden gem with great rooms with views. - This is a hidden gem. The hotel rooms are awesome with wide swinging doors so you can overlook the ocean from the comfort or your bed or patio. The open air restaurant has amazing views and ambiance. And the town was a pleasant surprise with cool scenery and vibe.
- Galen (10/5): A perfect low key relaxing refreshing getaway! - We liked The location at the waters edge, the view from the room, the view and relaxed open air restaurant. The friendly staff, basically everything! I can’t think of anything I didn’t like at Hotel Bocaíno!
- Jana (6/5): Pleasant - The hotel itself is quite nice, but there is a lot of rubbish around it and the location/village is not nice. They don´t accept the credit cards.
- Yuko (8/5): Fun for a group or couples - Spacey, cozy and amazing view So this was not listed on the property info until you book this place. It was cash only payment! So you need to prepare to carry US dollar (exact amount is better) and some local currency (DOP) at the restaurant. Breakfast was just 6 slices of toast and scrambled eggs… besides juice and coffee. Nobody speak English, but that’s on me not able to speak Spanish fluently. Loud noise coming from the generator early in the morning for pool, could hear next door’s music at night.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Location was amazing. Rooms were clean. Food was great with a lot of options.
- Vinicius (1/5): Owner did not honor the confirmation price from booking.com - I booked two rooms at this property and received the confirmation from booking.com and a message from the owner. A couple of hours later, I received a different message from the owner saying that the actual price was 3x the price that I received the confirmation for. The owner did not cancel my stay, and unfortunately I only realized that the price that I received the confirmation for was incorrect when I arrived at the property. He even offered a discount for me to stay, but they only accepted cash.
- Alphie (9/5): Superb - The view is amazing, rooms very comfortable, the place it is not a large hotel, it is more of restaurant than hotel, the food is delicious and the treatment of the staff is excellent!!
On weekdays i recommended it to disconnect from everything. Very close to the restaurant and the pool feels more part of the restaurant than the hotel..
- Percido (6/5): Pleasant - I did enjoy the stay and location The only accepted payment method is cash. I could not even pay with credit card at the restaurant.
- Robert (9/5): Superb - Well located, good rooms with ocean view, good breakfast.
- James (9/5): Beautiful stay in a quiet town close to Bayahibe without the hustle and bustle. - The location is literally magical, when the wind blows through your room in the afternoon it is perfect. Very close to the Hoyo Azulito which is a must see/ swim. The WiFi was very limited to the restaurant and did not work in the room. The pool was lovely but a few times needed to be skimmed just for some of the bugs but otherwise stag was very cool and the restaurant is delicious.
- Yvonne (7/5): Good -
- Liepnieks (9/5): Superb -
- Ocasta (7/5): Good value for money in the area. - Great location, right on the ocean. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the pillow basically non existent which made for a tough nights sleep
- Armando (4/5): There are definitely better choices around. - The view and the staff We think the place is overpriced.. The rooms lack from a lot of things: no hangers at all, the room temperature is warm even with the AC and ceiling fan working all the time, one roll of toilet paper for a 4night stay, don’t think is enough, very small TV screen that doesn’t even work (two controllers and no instructions on how to use them), very uncomfortable mattress and over used pillows. Food at the Arponero Restaurant was fine but super expensive compared to other great restaurants nearby.
- Hunter (10/5): This is an amazing place for peace and tranquility off of the beaten path. Historic cave, blue hole, can fish with local - Location is amazing, views from the room and restaurant are great. Nice clean and spacious. Very peaceful place to get away from it all. Ac didn’t have a control for the temperature. It was either on or off at an unknown setting. Shower water could have been hotter.
- Katarzyna (9/5): Superb - The location was everything. The rooms are spacious and they have a direct view on the ocean. You can't beat it. They all have a lovely patio where you can sit down and just enjoy the beautiful view. The staff is amazing, can't do enough for you. We tried their restaurant once or twice and found it a bit overpriced but the food was simply delicious. Loved the pool. Warm, nice water where you could swim in at any time. We liked it so much that we have decided to prolong our stay for a few more days. Great ratio price and quality. We had to keep reminding that we want the room to be cleaned. The breakfast despite being freshly made and delicious can get really boring after a few days. We would like to see more variety.
- Theo (9/5): Superb -
- Kamin (9/5): Superb -
- Rahim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jerdet (10/5): Exceptional - Beds very comfortable. Best food in Boca De Yuma
- Christopher (10/5): My girlfriend and I stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the hospitality and gradation food at the restaurant. We have always enj - The views were spectacular and the staff so warm, respectful and humble. We will definitely visit again in the future. Limited parking, but it’s fine if you can get a spot.
- Yana (6/5): Order fish for dinner at their restaurant!!! - The view is great and the restaurant is good. Staff is friendly. Payment is cash only and the closest ATM is 16km away. // The room is very basic. It would be good if it had a fridge. // The bathing site close to the hotel is quite dirty and doesn’t really qualifies as a beach most times of the day.
- Chairy (9/5): Beautiful hotel, great views. The restaurant on the property was really delicious. Besides the staff coming up us while - The view and location You can’t play music
- Martina (7/5): Despite the few elements we did not like, we still had a great stay and really enjoyed the weekend. - Location was fantastic. Beautiful view and great space to just walk around and take photos. It's nice that it is so close to the national park too.
Food at the restaurant was really good and the prices are reasonable.
The area feels peaceful and safe. Our room had a leaking toilet - this should have been checked before accepting guests.
The room should have a mini fridge. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant onsite but we couldn't finish it and we had nowhere to put our take out food.
The rooms are very bare - could use a little bit of decorating to make it feel more warm. Maybe a painting or 2. Also, the layout of the room is a bit awkward.
The service wasn't very good. The staff members were mostly nice but seemed very disinterested and not enthusiastic.
The breakfast was very average - could use a couple more options.
- Kelly (10/5): A vacation for us and a reprieve from tourism: local, beautiful, simple lodging and great food. - The view and location are absolutely stunning. The breeze, landscaping and pool were all unexpected highlights. The way the rooms stagger offers everyone some privacy and a good view. There were no bugs so the doors could remain open which was lovely. The restaurant was good and they were kind enough to bring meals out to the room.
On Sunday the restaurant was lively with wedding receptions, birthday parties and groups out for the day. My four year old got a chance to play with lot of children that day and bridge the language barrier as only children can. The only thing that would have made it even more enjoyable would have been screens on the windows/shutters to get the evening air in the room and still be able to lock the door. And the pizza crust tastes like dominican bread - which isn't a bad thing, its just not true italian pizza crust (if that's what you are expecting)
- Ialeksandra (8/5): Amazing views, not far from the Punta Cana airport - The view is breathtaking and sunrise spectacular. There is a tiny beach in a natural sea pool just next to the place. We haven't swam in there though, as it was sadly full of trash. There's another beach a short walk away, and then a few others that require a car or a boat. As we only stayed for two nights we haven't tried going to any of those.
The hotel is close to a natural reserve, so walks/runs were nice and there is an amazing cave just 10 minute walk from the hotel that is certainly worth the visit.
The hotel is quite small, attached to an Italian restaurant next door. Their pizzas were quite good, as was the rest of the menu.
The hotel dog, who remaind unnamed to us, was super sweet and was available for cuddles at any time.
The breakfast was typical caribbean - eggs and toast so nothing much, but the coffee was OK. It was really sad that the little beach next door (it's called El Hoyito de Zumbador, according to Google) was not tidy, as it would have been really nice to enjoy.
- Dennis (9/5): Go there if you want to be away from the touristy spots - It is isolated from the touristy places on the island. It is a small fisherman village and it is quiet. The restaurant of the hotel does have excellent food. Everything we tried was delicious. We had pizza, pasta and a seafood platter. We didn’t have enough pesos but and credit card does not work at that place but the manager made it work to with a different online payment type. We were there from December 23 to 25 and the restaurant was closed on the evening of the 24th but the manager told me beforehand and we could get some food from a store before we arrived at the area (there is probably nothing really around within 30-45 mins of driving). We could store our food in the restaurants beverage fridge and had access to it all day and night. The manager was awesome. The breakfast consists of a little bit of coffee, white bread (not toasted), some kind of butter, scrambled eggs and some kind of jam. The food was enough but the variety was in my opinion too small.
- Oleksandr (7/5): Good -
- Morales (7/5): Good - Loved the ocean and close by river views.
The food and service from the hotel restourant were excellent. Retaurant prices were, I think to high.
- Beedouble (8/5): Very good -
- Ilaria (8/5): Very good - The location is beautiful
- Lo (7/5): Nice comfortable hotel but nothing in the area. - The hotel is nice and clean with a beautiful view to the sea. There is no easy access to the sea. There is a small cove next door but it is full of rubbish. The area is on the verge of dereliction.
- John (10/5): great location, definitely be back! - incredible location, the pictures don’t do it justice cash only, but the owner has it listed. make sure to read it before, the nearest atm is in higuey or punta cana. only a minor inconvenience though
- Chad (8/5): Very good - Beautiful quiet hotel. Very nice manager and personel. Clean.
- Deborah (1/5): Bad -
- Rasa (7/5): Good - Nice room and view. That’s it ☺️ Poor breakfast
- Sara (8/5): Very good -
- Evelyn (10/5): excellent!! - The location and view from the room are wonderful, the staff and the food are good.
Pool on the property. Rooms are modern, abundant hot water. aircon only had minimal settings, breakfast was fine but very slow to arrive. prices in the restaurant could be more transparent: tax is not included in the menu. Pool could be cleaner.
- Helka (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous location. Beautiful bit simple rooms with a lovely view. Immaculate. There is a lovely restaurant too. Nothing!
- C (5/5): good experience but would not return. - out of the way location nice and quite great ocean views and cozy outdoor restaurant the property needs some love. unkept garden areas. patio chairs uncomfortable. pool had lots of leaves and dead bugs in it.
- Katerine (7/5): It was ok but needs some improvements to attract more customers - The hotel is in a secluded location out of the way from the very crowded touristic areas. The staff is friendly and polite. The pillows need changing, the wooden chairs on the little patios outside the rooms need cushions, the toilet was broken and water flooded the floor attracting mosquitoes, we reported this but the plumber never made an appearance. Also water was never provided to the rooms, there was a power cut in the town and the generator wasn’t turned on till late in the afternoon after 6pm.
- Charmaine (9/5): Fantastic! - We were there during the cyclone. So we had a different experience. However, the staff was really kind and made us breakfast and food. They looked out for us during the storm. The location was really nice. Nothing
- Lucio (8/5): Great secluded hotel/restaurant on the shore of Boca de Yuma - Wonderful view. Excellent restaurant and pool/area. Friendly employees and management. The bed was large, but not particularly comfortable.
