• Eliza (8/5): Overall, a comfortable and well-located stay with beautiful harbour views and a great atmosphere, though a few small imp - Perfect location with incredible access to the harbour, old town and beautiful views throughout the property. The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, quality linen, and excellent air conditioning. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the restaurant downstairs had a great atmosphere and was a really fun addition to the stay. The WiFi unfortunately wasn’t working for the duration of my stay, which was quite inconvenient as an international traveller relying on limited mobile data — I ended up needing to purchase extra data for my phone plan. The fridge in the room was also very loud and froze everything inside, even after I turned the temperature right down. In the end, I had to unplug it overnight so I could sleep comfortably. The king-sized bed was otherwise very comfortable, though only two pillows were provided. A couple of extra pillows would have made the experience feel a bit more luxe. I also found the room amenities fairly minimal, with no shower cap, slippers, or kettle provided, and I needed to call reception to request a plate and knife for cheese. Overall, a few small additions and maintenance fixes would really elevate the stay.

• Anita (9/5): If you want one of the most beautiful views in Crete, ask for room 13. - What’s not to like? The location is exquisite, the staff is exceptional, the food in the restaurant great. There’s nothing sleek and impersonal about Amphora. If you want that, go elsewhere. We will return to Amphora.

La chambre était impeccable, confortable, et on s'y sent immédiatement comme chez soi — bercé par le parfum iodé de la mer et le chant des oiseaux. Mais ce qui fait vraiment la différence ici, c'est l'équipe : attentive, bienveillante et d'une chaleur rare. Une mention toute spéciale à Anita, dont le professionnalisme et la réactivité ont été précieux pour gérer ma réservation Booking avec efficacité et le sourire. • Janet (9/5): Fabulous place to stay ! - Staff are like family and will do anything for you . Anita was like my Greek mama for the week . Breakfast was delicious and location is central and beautiful harbour views 👌. Oh and the shower was amazing !! It is a small , cute , old hotel but nothing I didnt like !! My balcony didnt get any sun but thats not a deal breaker . Only there for sleeps !! The rooftop terrace makes up for that!

Amazing views from our room and balcony as well as from the hotel's spacious rooftop (tables/chairs set up). We enjoyed relaxing in the sun with the views, above the hustle and bustle below. This place has one of the best views compared to other places you could stay around the harbor (nice size room balcony, location of rooftop). Centrally located, walkable to many interesting areas in Chania (pier/lighthouse walk at sunset, churches, Turkish area, restaurants, shopping etc). One of our favorite places to visit during our 2-week trip to Greece - combination of history, scenic views, size/feeling of town. Reception desk staff were great - very helpful in answering questions before our trip (via messaging on Booking.com) and during our stay. Loved the architecture of the room - wood beamed ceiling. Feels very Venetian with the room and harbor views but a cleaner, smaller version of Venice :)! Staff also very helpful in booking a taxi and helping us with luggage on the morning of our departure (taxi came to the back of the hotel, right by the water). Would have liked more days here! Love that we could open our windows and get the fresh air in our room. The staff were extremely helpful. If you do not like stairs, be careful what room you select. It is a beautiful old building with all the charm, but with all the modern amenities that you will need. Fantastic location. You only had one pillow, but I never asked for a second. I am sure if I needed more they would’ve given it to me.

La signora al check out, premetto il check out era alle 11 e invece abbiamo lasciato la stanza alle 11:30, per un contrattempo, la signora ci ha fatto sentire come se fossimo due ladri è stato davvero imbarazzante e le volevo pagare anche il ritardo dei 30 minuti dal check out, in più la stanza che abbiamo lasciato era disponibile la notte seguente quindi non stava neanche arrivando nessun nuovo cliente, peccato perché poteva essere tutto perfetto ma la signora un po’ ha rovinato tutto.

• Matilda (10/5): Favoloso - In pieno centro della città, camera pulitissima con servizio di cambio asciugamani giornaliero. Ampia camera moderna e attrezzata, bagno, antibagno e zona water separata. La vista dalla camera è spettacolare, anche se in pieno centro della vita notturna è silenziosa, non si sente nulla dall'esterno a infissi chiusi. Al nostro arrivo ci siamo rese conto che non eravamo in grado di portare su le valigie e c'è le hanno portate loro, così anche per il check out. La ragazza biondina con i capelli ricci (non le ho chiesto il nome) ci ha accolte con una bottiglia di vino offerta dalla casa, è stata super gentile e ci ha mostrato tutta la struttura. In più ci ha aiutate a organizzare una gita sulla famosa laguna di Elafonissi. Consiglio a chiunque, sono ottimi. L'unica cosa negativa solo le scale, molte, ma comprendo che è un edificio antico rimodernato e che non ci sia posto per un ascensore.

Położenie hotelu przy samym starym porcie - wszędzie blisko, można było dojść spacerem, a kiedy zwiedzanie/upał męczyły, można było podejść do hotelu się odświeżyć i znowu wrócić do zwiedzania bez tracenia czasu :) Niestety w hotelu brak windy - nie było to zaskoczeniem (w końcu hotel w samym centrum miasta, zbudowany w starych budynkach), jednak targanie bagaży do góry było męczące. Panie z personelu pomagały z bagażem, co uważam za plus.

• Angela (10/5): Gorgeous antique hotel in the heart of old town Chania - Gorgeous apartment in the heart of old town Chania, and we were lucky enough to have a breathtaking water view! The room was gorgeous with an antique but still modern style, and the hidden gem is this divine, spacious shared balcony space, with dimly lit tables and chairs overlooking the Old Venetian port. This balcony and view is unique to this hotel only, and believe it’s not offered by any other hotel along the port. It’s a must!! Especially for after dinner drinks! My husband and I spent much time out there, watching the sunset and enjoying the ambience! Thank you Hotel Amphora! Nothing!

• Lawrence (9/5): - What a lovely place to stay. You cannot beat the hotel for location, right in the centre of the town overlooking the harbour. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We had issues with our rental car (different company) and they helped us find a solution. Also, their recommendations for things to do were great. The breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choices for all our group but even better was the having our breakfast in the restaurant’s terrace overlooking the harbour.

Une très belle découverte ! Le matelas, il était trop dur... un surmatela peut être une bonne option à moindre coût pour adoucir un peu le sommeil

• Mick Hughes (9/5): Very happy - Exactly what you want from a hotel that takes in the local ambience. Nothing flash, very clean and tidy, super friendly and helpful, great terrace to take in the views and an excellent restaurant. No beer in the fridge 🤣😂
