• Helen (10/5): A quiet restful few days - It was warm cosy and tasteful with lots of morning sunshine Excellent for walking the dog in the grounds and on the nearby beach Very peaceful retreat
• V195E (10/5): 3 night stay - The hosts communicated well, it was away from the busyness of the city. And the bonus was being able to barbeque while there! The milk and biscuits were very much appreciated! Having a little mini garden there was also brilliant! Not having a microwave, but that really did not hinder our stay at all.
• Emma (6/5): Overall very nice but we wouldn’t go again just because we would want something bigger but I think this is in a great ar - It was clean and light Situated in a good area near to beach 2 miles away Beds comfortable Great WiFi connection and TV also has projector but we didn’t use this Enclosed garden was nice for our dogs Coffee machine was great as my partners big on coffee Cooker was good we had a lot of meals in the property The shortbread and milk on arrival was a great little touch The host was very nice and great communication No where to dry cloths Felt like we was in someone’s back yard which felt abit strange like a ‘granny flat’ Kitchen table is wobbly which was annoying easy fixed with some cardboard under the leg Was very small in terms of storing cloths I think this property it great for a couple but not a family unless you are used to small spaces and living out of your suitcase No coat hangers which there could be some under the stairs or by the front door No door mat to wipe feet as you enter the property The property did warm up but took some times I think summer time would be great here but I think without heating other than under the floor winter would be difficult would benefit from a fire/log fire
• Roland (9/5): A gem of a property and an ideal location to explore the Angus coastline. - Excellent accommodation in a quiet and attractive location. Very well appointed and comfortable. Instructions clear and concise. A very minor point, the bothy would benefit from a set of kitchen utensils.

• Sarah (10/5): Beautiful bothy in a sheltered spot to watch the sun rise and hear the birds sing. A short walk to Lunan beach and only - We loved the mezzanine bedroom, wet room, underfloor heating, enclosed garden and bi fold doors very comfortable indeed. There was no microwave, I think if staying longer than 3nts you’d need one-maybe?

• Gillian (10/5): Fantastic get away in a lovely wee house. - Everything! Very friendly hosts with excellent communication ensured we easily found and accessed the property. It is a picture perfect little house which was spotlessly clean and ideal for our needs. Easy walk to beautiful Lunan Bay and a short drive to Arbroath for our eating out needs. All good!

• Lesley (10/5): Don't hesitate, book it. - We booked the Bothy for a crafting retreat.It far exceeded our expectations. The hosts communication was excellent. The Bothy was spotless, very well equipped, the fixtures, fittings and furnishings were all of the highest standard and well maintained. The garden and patio area were just lovely and everything was clean and well.organised. The beds were so comfortable and the heating and hot water were perfect for 3 adults and a wee dog. Would highly recommend. Not a thing to dislike.

• Jan (10/5): Rural chique genieten op het platteland - We genoten van ons verblijf in de gezellige en smaakvol ingerichte Bothy. Mooi landelijk gelegen op de National Cycling Route 1 die wij een stuk volgden langsheen de Noordzeekust. Een bezoek aan Dundee is zeker de moeite waard. Wij bezochten er de RRS Discovery waarmee Captain Scott in 1901 op expeditie ging naar Antarctica.

Clean, modern cottage, very comfortable. Not really a dislike but would have preferred a fully enclosed garden as my dog is an escape artist.

• Tracey (10/5): Great little hideaway - Beautiful little place. Bright, fresh and clean, well designed to make the best use of the space. Comfortable bed. Loved the projector! Quiet and peaceful with nice walks in the local area or just a short drive to lunan beach. A welcome change from the hustle of daily life and a great way to recharge. The host was great - on hand if required but in no way intrusive. Definitely on the "return to" list! The sofa is quite deep so some cushions to support would be nice, but really no big deal. Bedside lights are very bright.

• Cristiana (10/5): Great stay near the beach! - We had a great stay at the Bothy. The hosts, Angus and Amy were brilliant at communicating, making our stay as relaxing as possible. The bothy itself is decorated beautifully and very comfortable. We brought our two dogs, so the little secure side garden was handy. The Bothy is located near Lunan Bay Beach, which is simply stunning. We went each day during our stay. We also visited Arbroath. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have booked again! Highly recommend!

The owners were very welcoming on arrival making sure that we knew where everything was located and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely private location and a 10min drive to the beach which our dog loved. An easy drive to Montrose for food supplies or takeaways, we will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone who wants a tranquil escape.

• Carol (10/5): Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be doing a return visit - Anniston Bothy was a pleasure to stay in. It was spotlessly clean and had all the comforts you required for a short stay. We were there with our 2 grandchildren aged 7 and 5 and dog They loved the freedom of the green area and a big bonus was the small activity frame in the garden surrounding the bothy. Angus came to meet us when we arrived and was very helpful with any info about the area and places to go. The beds were very comfortable we all had a great nights sleep. Great shower and lovely toiletry products available too. We were close to both Montrose and Arbroath which have lots to do for the kids. Lunan Bay beach was a 5 minute drive away which was great for the kids and the dog. Decent parking and a little cafe on site too. We ate at Imries Bar and Grill in Lunan Bay which was very relaxed for kids and dogs, very reasonably priced too One tiny thing! The room in the mezzanine area was very hot, it could do with a fan.

• Neil (9/5): relaxing - location was quiet, accommodation fully furnished, landlord is on land near by which was handy as had an issue with water temp but he came very quickly and resolved as cottage is eco friendly and modern. Was wife birthday and even gave some flowers and a card. highly recommended one comment is that I didnt notice how steep the stairs\ladder was to get in to the loft for the single beds although my daughter loved it. Picture not do it justice as is probably about 80 degree angle to climb up.

• Diane (9/5): Beautiful bothy for a great relaxing break - The bothy was in a beautiful setting; and was very nicely decorated. The beds were super comfortable and we slept well. I really liked that there was an electric car charger on site too. I wouldn't have liked to sleep upstairs, it was quite a steep ladder and not ideal for anyone having to get up and down to the bathroom during the night.

• Mark (9/5): Great location and the bothy is immaculate inside. - The stairs to the top bedroom are very narrow and steep. This didn't bother me but could be difficult for someone who was elderly or infirm.

We were in the area for a family wedding and it was the perfect base for us. There was nothing - we had a brilliant stay and would not hesitate to book again in the future.

• Fellows (9/5): Short and sweet. Really enjoyed being able to just walk to Corbie and Lunan Bay! - It was a very suitable location for what we wanted to do. We couldn't get the hob to work but as we weren't doing much cooking (oven only) it wasn't a problem and we would have asked Amy if we had needed to use it. Not a problem.

Angus and Amy were very friendly hosts; if you need any help ask. A very beautiful renovated Bothy not far from Lunan Bay. Modern decor - and a stunning feature being the patio doors which open completely onto the deck. It was all great. The loft has steep stairs if you have mobility issues, but the rest is very accessible. The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty in a couple areas but great overall!

Amy and Angus were lovely hosts al - Modern, well decorated with fantastic hosts who were extremely friendly and who were there if we needed anything. Super dog friendly with our Sprocker loving every minute of his stay, particularly the long walks along the fabulous beach nearby. The facilities were all we could have asked for and the shower was superb. Very, very peaceful. Nothing at all.

• János (10/5): If you are looking for rest and relaxation, this is the place for you! - A very cozy and lovingly modern furnished holiday home in a wonderfully quiet location just 20 minutes' walk from the beach. The horse meadow is right next door, a couple of chickens also came to visit. The hosts Amy and Angus are super helpful, calmly approach them if something is missing.
