- Robert (5/5): Passable, below standard for rental cost; but small investment by owner would make a big difference - Location good for shopping centres, could hardly have been better (although we weren't specifically looking for this). Also very close to the iconic auditorium. The bed was comfortable. The shower was good. Good fridge/freezer. And it was quiet, good sound insulation - no noise from neighbours. Laundry area off the kitchen with deep sink and washing machine although we didn't need to use it. Local host very helpful in resolving difficulty over compulsory provision of passport data that I'd overlooked (although they had no presence on site; communication was by WhatsApp). Good security - remote keyless entry via revolving door and security staff on duty 24/7. Good lifts. It was a high specification apartment and although perfectly clean, it seemed not to have been cared for. A front window was cracked, all window mechanisms were defective or very stiff, the curtains and blinds on the front window were frankly disgraceful - broken or missing operating cords, and disintegrating material. The window seals leaked, not a problem with draughts but with strong winds due at least in part to the height of the building there was a lot of whistling and moaning. Front windows also very dirty, obscuring the view we'd paid for - but this is the nature of the building, windows having to be professionally cleaned by gondola lowered from the roof level. The kitchen was minimally equipped in terms of crockery and cutlery, generally too few pieces and of indifferent quality, unmatched, chipped, no sideplates, and not enough to allow usage of the dishwasher (i.e. if you put the day's dishes etc in the dishwasher you had practically nothing else left to use). Kitchen very poorly lit with one ceiling light hanging out on its wire. Bathroom sink plug detached from its chain; initially thought it was missing but eventually found it in a bottom drawer. One hinge detached on wardrobe door in the bedroom but worked ok on the remaining two. No instructions for use of aircon. Disappointing; sold on basis of view, and for some, location. Would not consider it again.
