Guest Reviews
- Vicki (10/5): It was the perfect place to wind down. - Loved the location and the view. The host was friendly and there was good communication. Instructions easy to follow. Everything we needed was provided. Very dog friendly. Hoping to return for a longer stay.
- Kate (9/5): Lovely holiday in paradise. Would recommend. - Location, beautiful surroundings. Close to Wisemans ferry park for the dogs. Visit to the Wombat Cafe. Great wifi and TV.
Air fryer!
The hosts were friendly and answered a few questions promptly. Nowhere inside the fence for the dogs to do their business. Ie. no grass
Had to take the dogs out to the bush area to pee/poop.
- Imogen (10/5): Relaxing and comfortable stay - Very comfortable and clean. Beautiful area and views of the river. Very dog friendly. The owner is lovely. Nothing
- Chris (9/5): Short break, before heading back to Sydney - The view of the river from the balcony area is amazing. So quiet too although close to the main road. The BBQ was is excellent condition and the layout of the property was perfect for what we wanted. Peter, the owner was brilliant and promptly fixed the issue we had with the bed. Old bed but Peter fixed it very quickly and was so comfortable afterwards.
- Mitchell (7/5): Mostly a good experience. Dog-friendly and surrounded by beautiful nature. - Pros:
Dog-friendly
Lovely water views
Friendly host, Peter, who generously let us check out late after a flat tire
Peter’s cheerful border collie
Kitchen to prepare meals Cons:
Mosquitoes were a bit of an issue outside and in (likely due to the area), and some bugs in the guesthouse
Occasional buzzing from an outdoor pump
Patchy Wi-Fi signal
No lockbox made check-in/out less convenient
Guesthouse was quite close to the main house—more seclusion would’ve been ideal
- Mark (10/5): Comfortable, convenient and straight forward. - Absolutely wonderful hosts. Communication was quick and easy even prior to our stay which made it very easy to arrive and check in. Peter stayed to chat for a bit and showed us around before giving us our space and privacy facing the waters. Very prompt, polite and friendly.
The place was in great condition and very clean. Inspect sprays, BBQ and everything readily available.
Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Thanks Peter and Olivia. Nothing.
- Robert (7/5): More attention to detail would go a long way. - We supplied our own breakfast, location was quiet isolated. Did not like the fact that BBQ was not cleaned, Bed linen was not the best, pilling on bottom sheet, marks on top sheet.
Shower gel was empty. Dirty washing up sponge & marked tea towel.
- Allison (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location - so serene, perfect little house with everything we needed
- Karleisha (10/5): Exceptional - Location and host
- Barbara (4/5): Poor stay - The view Booked for 3 people, a single bed was advertised, but was a mattress on the floor, the bed has been removed, had to ask for it to be brought back as we had an elderly person with us. First night there was no gas to cook with hadn't been checked. Bbq hadn't been cleaned. Door couldn't be locked.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nishant (8/5): Very good -
- Cindy (10/5): A fabulous self contained flat set up for comfort - ideally located to explore the Hawkesbury Area! - The accomodation has a lovely outlook to the river & location suited us well with a short drive to Spencer for delicious food options.
It was private/ self contained, clean and nicely decorated with attention to detail.
Communication from the hosts was great even though they were not close by on that particular weekend. Would recommend!
- Robyn (9/5): wonderful cooperative staff, absolutely stunning location and the facilities were clean and very nice - the bed was a little hard for my liking
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Damien (10/5): hidden gem with so much beauty. - Beautiful little hideaway with the comforts of home, would have happily stayed longer. Nothing it was all great.
- Tom (7/5): Nice little place, host was very friendly and good with communication. - The location was nice with a view of the water and a nice courtyard to enjoy it from. There is a water pump or similar adjacent to the courtyard which made a bit of noise and took away from the location, maybe this could be boxed in and sound-proofed? The second bed was a single bed and would have been fine but it was a bit creaky.
- Callan (10/5): Great for outdoor walks, very private area and dog friendly. Very happy. - Great location to all the walks. It’s dog friendly and the owners are very friendly they let us know about restaurants and things to do and little details about the area. There was nothing we didn’t like.
- M (7/5): Good - Amazing beautiful house and location. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Could do with outdoor lighting, it's very dark. Tiny bin inside.
- Nabin (8/5): Very good - Very clean and well managed place to visit for small family’s. Good service and equipped with all cooking utensils. Will recommend this place. No shops nearby
