Guest Reviews
- Michael (9/5): Great! - Cute cottage next to pub! Comfortable with all necessities. WiFi was patchy, parking really only works for a small car, but these are minor.
- MrRajSingh (10/5): Lovely and cosy little cottage - Lovely, cosy little cottage located in a very quiet area. Very peaceful and away from hectic city life. A pub literally 2 doors away, which was also very convenient. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again. There was nothing not to like. Everything was just perfect for our short vacation.
- caraj316 (7/5): Tired and faded but cheap and OK - Location was excellent and it was cheaper than other local properties.
Minimal tea and coffee supplies were provided and bedding was clean and mostly serviceable.
All kitchen equipment was supplied and worked well.
Shower was warm and had good flow though a rubber mat for the bath to avoid slipping would have been very useful. Cottage was cute and cosy but everything was tired, worn or faded.
Soft furnishings eg carpets, sofas etc were in major need of a deep clean and it gave the impression of grubbiness despite the actual surface cleanliness.
Pillows were incredibly thin and flat and it was very helpful that we had taken our own as four pillows stacked was not enough for a single decent pillow thickness.
Toilet roll provided did not survive the week.
Cheap electric fake wood burner was in front of the lovely open fire.
Curtains were faded and not properly hung.
Repaints in the bathroom were in a different colour and over the mould around the window.
Compressor from the pub next door meant that the twin bedroom could not be used with the window open overnight which was a shame but not disastrous.
Lane past the cottage was very overgrown and so car was scratched by foliage every time driving in or out.
The general impression was that nobody really cared about the place. It was generally frustrating because it would not have taken much input to make it a fantastic little cottage.
