Guest Reviews
- Guest (10/5): - The owner, Corrie, was an absolute delight. She also had an extensive knowledge of wineries in the area. The breakfast was exquisite. Everything was homemade from yogurt to the dandelion syrup. The bed was comfortable, and the room was so cute. There was nothing I didn't like.
- Joy Hamilton (10/5): - Place is a hidden gem and Corrie is remarkable (fascinating life history) - in her garden she has created an oasis of green and her gourmet breakfast has origins in the garden. She has extensive knowledge of local wineries.
- Deborah (9/5): Lovely quiet place to stay. Recommended! - Very comfortable and well equipped bedroom and bathroom. Quiet location, good heating/cooling. Lovely garden to enjoy. Breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious (foods made from Corrie’s perma culture garden and hens), though a bit light. We would have liked some bread or muffins as well.
- Lynn (10/5): - Comfortable and clean room and bathroom. Great yard and wonderful permaculture gardens. Delicious breakfast from the garden. Nothing.
- michelle (10/5): Nice private serene setting with amazing homemade breakfast. - We super love gardening so really enjoyed exploring the food forest, visiting the chickens and just poking around. Connie is an excellent host and spent time at breakfast answering our questions about the area. Breakfast was exceptional and after a long haul flight and questionable airplane meals, the homemade fresh food was very appreciated. Freud squeezers apricot juice and a two course meal. Exceptional!
The selection of herbal tea and coffee in our room was a nice touch. A little light at the start of the path would be helpful. We arrived in dark and did a couple of walks to find the angled path to our door. It is very obvious in daylight and this is a very very minor point.
- Roanne (9/5): Perfect B&B with a clean, modern space (with private bathroom) and delicious breakfast. - Great location; clean, modern room; excellent breakfast Nothing; everything was great
- Dennis (10/5): Relaxing after golf with a great breakfast - Clean quiet and an incredible breakfast prepared by the host. All edibles from her garden
- Eefje (10/5): Fantastisch!!! - Wat een geweldige b & b, alles klopte. Een fantastisch mooie plek met een geweldige tuin en in de ochtend zijn we helemaal in de watten gelegd met een heerlijk ontbijt. Het bed was voor ons een beetje te zacht.
- Susan (10/5): Everything we needed and more - Our host, the delicious breakfast and our room.
- Huguette (9/5): Relaxation - Beautiful backyard where you can relax while listening to a nice selection of music. You can cool yourselves in the plunge pool. Gourmet breakfast served with a nice organic juice. Comfortable bed and very clean room. Quiet neighborhood The bathroom toiletries could be improved but we would definitely recommend this B&B.
- Donald Baert (9/5): - Heerlijk rustig, prachtige tuin en top ontbijt
- Doug (10/5): Our host thought of everything to ensure a very comfortable stay at her B and B. - Very comfortable, nicely decorated accommodation. The breakfasts served were excellent.
- Emily (9/5): Superb - Very clean space with everything I could need provided. Comfy, clean bed. Delicious breakfast. The host, Corrie, is friendly, available, considerate, and knowledgeable. Did a permaculture workshop as well and learned so much!
- Anonymous (10/5): Pleasant and comfortable. - We enjoyed our night here. The entire experience was wonderful. We were comfortable and happy. The gardens are phenomenal and we enjoyed the tour and explanation of all the plants. Our breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed visiting with the host also. Her hostess book in the room was very helpful. If we had to message prior to arrival, responses were prompt. We had been traveling for 4 days and had not had local/national news. We were not able to access the national or local news on the TV. In the end, this was probably a good thing and we just enjoyed our time away from home.
- Maureen (10/5): Clean, beautiful, friendly, exceptional breakfast - Breakfast was top, first class, 5 star.
- Kristina (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was an amazing bonus - so healthy - just the right amount of food.
- Carol (9/5): Great place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the experience of a top notch B&B - The B&B is very clean and comfortable and breakfasts are delicious and healthy artistic creations, most of it grown in Corrie’s own permaculture garden.
- Vanilla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (5/5): Good location for exploring the area. - Great location for exploring the area for the wineries for which the owner was most helpful in giving pointers The room was rather small and the bed was not particularly comfortable.
- Cathy (9/5): What an amazing bed and breakfast in a permaculture environment, we learned so much thanks to our host! - Corrie was an exceptional host, we loved talking with her about permaculture!
- Ninjarat888 (9/5): Great stay in Oliver close to Wineries and Restaurants with Superb Host - The room decor, the property, the owner (Corrie) and the breakfast. It was a great stay and the little kittens were absolutely adorable too. Corrie gave some on point advice regarding restaurants and wineries to try. Only 1 small thing and that was the lack of provision of shampoo. Its really a very small thing only.
- Ivy (10/5): Exceptional - Our hostess was a very interesting person and we learned a lot about permaculture. I particularly enjoyed the quiet oasis of flowers and vegetables etc in the front and back yards.
Breakfast was a gourmet treat and we got great travel tips which made the remainder of our getaway extra special. This was a short visit but we look forward to longer stay next time!
- Cathy (10/5): Very pleasant. - Corrie attended to every detail. Our room was bright and well-furnished. She served us a delicious breakfast with produce from her garden.
- Mark (10/5): Absolutely amazing - The breakfast was absolutely amazing! Best breakfast we have had in our whole vacation. Corrie is super friendly and knowledgeable. The workshop Permaculture is highly recommended. Nothing
- Tek4 (9/5): Very friendly host, room was comfortable, very happy overall - Good location close to the main road through town. Room was comfortable, bed was comfortable. The host was very friendly. And she tailored the breakfasts she made for me to my need for high fiber using things from her garden and other healthy options. The local unbagged herbal tea and local honey were great (she had a tea pot with the filter to put the loose tea material in it with a hot water maker to feed that). Separate access from the other guest room was nice (I never saw the other guests). Key pad controlled door access was good. It's literally a home where she made a couple rooms into guest lodging, so its in a pretty tightly packaged neighborhood, so you can get some auto traffic early and late, but probably nothing worse that the volume of noise you'd deal with at a hotel, just something of note. And the only critique of the room I was in is that there was no dresser / chest of drawers. There is a long closet with two sets of doors it so long, so plenty of room in there to put a dresser / CoD in (even if she needed to remove one of the closet doors if they wouldn't close. It was okay for me, because I just put my small suitcase on the floor and layed my close out around it. But a couple staying there for any length of time would probably be a bit frustrated with no place to stow away shirts, socks, etc.
- Dawn (8/5): Peaceful place..great yard - Liked the quiet neighborhood and the yard The curtain would be better as wall..as plan for future
- Andrew (10/5): We enjoyed our short but sweet stay. We’ll definitely be back. - Cute property with comfortable space to relax
- Sherry (10/5): Once again an excellent stay. Warm hospitality, top notch facilities, and outstanding, creative and healthy breakfast ri -
- Sherry (10/5): Excellent stay, beautiful garden and warm hospitality. Perfect! - Central location. Very well kept property and comfortable room. Host is welcoming and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast offerings were outstanding-creative, healthy and delicious. I highly recommend this property.
- Albert (9/5): Comfortable stay for mind and body. - Comfortable room with quiet AC that could keep up with the 40 degree heat outside. Corry was friendly and a joy to chat with about gardening and local wine. Garden in the back was a lovely place to eat a gorgeous breakfast.
- Mary-anne (8/5): Good location, clean, up to date accommodations with a peaceful bask yard oasis. - Beautiful garden to enjoy the host's thoughtfully prepared breakfast in. Very Peaceful.
- Vicki (10/5): Lovely garden property in wine country! - Beautiful gardens, nice back porch, amazing creative healthy breakfasts, morning lattes. Clean well- decorated room, extremely comfortable bed and pillows
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - Corrie was an excellent host and very helpful.
- Holly (10/5): The stay was wonderful. Highly recommend staying here. - The location was perfect. We walked into town the main st. Not far at all. You can walk along the river. Corrie was a very nice host. Lovely to chat with. She really takes care of you and wants you to have the best stay. She had the place ready for us for a early check in which we greatly appreciated.
- Kyle (10/5): Exceptional - Delicious food and hospitality. The permaculture model in the urban setting is a wonderful example to follow.
- Cai (10/5): Fabulous - Breakfast Facility
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stuart (10/5): Even before we arrived communication was amazing. The stay was great and the breakfast was out of this world highly reco - Clean. Welcoming, great atmosphere. The host made us feel very welcomed and the breakfast was outstanding. We had to leave.
- Chad (10/5): An amazing stay for couples looking to visit the Southern Okanagan! - We decided to visit the southern Okanagan for our anniversary weekend and decided to stay at Corrie's B&B. This accommodation was absolutely incredible! Corrie was very hospitable and the breakfasts she provided every morning were definitely top-notch. Majority of the ingredients in her dishes were harvested right from her backyard garden, and you could tell every dish was made with care and love. She gave us a very thorough tour of her garden and her vision for it. It was very inspiring to hear about the passion she has for permaculture and living off the land. Nothing really! If I were to nitpick though, probably the black-out curtain provided wasn't fully black out, but that's more of a personal preference thing.
- Carol (10/5): Best B&B that we’ve stayed at! - Global Village is a fantastic B&B! It’s clean, comfortable, relaxing, and Corrie prepares exquisite organic breakfasts. We highly recommend this B&B and plan to be back! There’s nothing we didn’t like.
- Grace (10/5): Delightful host, fantastic breakfast, spotlessly clean, great location - Great location, room was comfortable and spotlessly clean with good A/C, nice ensuite bathroom, good wifi strength
Access to simple cooking and fridge facilities
Amazingly delicious (organic and mostly grown on the property/locally) breakfasts on a beautiful tranquil patio overlooking the garden
Friendly hostess very willing to adjust the breakfast menu to meet your needs/preferences and give you a tour of her fascinating garden, complete with chickens providing eggs for breakfast!
Highly recommend. We'll definitely stay here again. Everything was great.
- Wipfli (10/5): Exceptional - All around wonderful!
- Paola (10/5): Exceptional - We found the space much better than staying at a chain hotel for similar place.
- Maria (10/5): Wonderful!! - The breakfast was exceptional in both taste and presentation. The owner was fabulous. She was both very personable and accommodating.
- Tom (10/5): Loved the B&B and the experience - Permaculture experience was amazing. Would love to return one day to continue the adventure and learning experience.
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): We would highly recommend staying here. A relaxing atmosphere. Well laid out, immaculate room. - The breakfast was organic, delicious and a beautiful presentation. Thank you to our most hospitable, friendly and gracious hostess Corrie! Homemade yogurt and fruit, poached eggs with homemade hollandaise sauce, fresh picked asparagus and the special highlight, bacon wrapped figs (a first time experience). To top off breakfast, we were treated to a latte while relaxing and enjoying the garden view, mountains in the background and birds singing. No complaints whatsoever.
- Phirapatch (10/5): Worth it - The host is very nice and gives us a lots of travel information. She is friendly. The homemade breakfast also was fantastic!! No
- Kuanny (9/5): Superb - The backyard is an oasis. We enjoyed taking a plunge in the soaking tub and playing the pinecone game! Breakfast was a highlight for us - beautiful service and homemade treats.
- Carol (10/5): Highly recommend this B&B for a relaxing, comfortable experience all around. - We enjoyed our stay immensely at Global Billage B&B!
Breakfasts were amazing, home cooked, organic food from the gardens, artfully presented and very tasty!
The room is clean, cozy and comfortable and Corrie was delightful and went ‘above and beyond!’ There was nothing lacking here—this is a lovely place to stay!
- Michelle (10/5): Charming, clean, comfortable B&B with a delicious homemade breakfast and a beautiful yard! - Corrie was a lovely host! Our room was very clean, beautiful, spacious, and had little extras like homemade tea. The location is very close to The District Wine Village, which is what we planned our trip around. When we got back from the Wine Village, Corrie greeted us with a complimentary glass of wine, took us on a tour of her garden, and introduced us to her chickens. As we hung out outside and had wine, ate snacks, and played games (there's a nice lawn, a hammock, multiple seating areas, and a tin pool) Corrie checked on us to see if we needed anything. In the morning, Corrie made us a homemade and locally sourced breakfast and lattes, which was delicious! Checking in and out was easy, and Corrie is available for communication if you have questions. We will 100% be booking this wonderful bed and breakfast again! There wasn't anything we didn't like during our stay! Corrie exceeded my expectations.
- Kirsten (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place to stay and fabulous breakfast!
- Soumya (10/5): Exceptional -
