Guest Reviews
- ELOU84 (9/5): Overnight stay - Beautiful views and scenery, was nice and warm and very cosy decor inside. Lovely location and had a lovely birthday trip there. Shower controls a bit confusing but we managed and maybe privacy screen at door but wonderful stay and would return 😊
- Miranda (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay on the farm. The location is great, really quiet but in walking distance of Richmond.
The fresh orange juice was a lovely touch, and Gill was very quick to respond to any messages. Would definitely recommend.
- Shirley (8/5): Lovely rural escape close to local amenities - Cosy, well equipped hut with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. I had an enjoyable 1 night stay with my granddaughter who loved the animals. Nice to have fresh milk, orange juice etc and there is also a small farm cafe on site. Blackout blinds would be a good addition
- Isabelle (10/5): - Amazing night away, super cosy and lovely area
- adam (10/5): - The location was amazing very peaceful area but still shops just a short drive away. There was a cozy amount of space for two and was nice to have a little garden bit to ourselves where we had a barbecue
- Jade (8/5): Cosy, peaceful break away. - The location was stunning. The hut was cute, quaint and peaceful.
The fire pit was lovely to sit around in the evening, toasting marshmallows, star gazing and hearing the local owl hooting away.
There were additional touches of fresh milk in the fridge, fresh orange juice, cereal and biscuits.
The hut was surprisingly warm and sturdy despite it being very windy and cold outside.
Gill was a wonderful attentive host and the cooked breakfast was delicious. The main thing was the bed. It was small for two people and our feet hung out the bottom. We expected the bed to be small staying in a hut. But not as small as it was, there were knees in the back and it lead to a lot of tossing and turning in the night to get comfortable.
There is no blind over the door, which is in the pictures. We ended up popping a blanket over the window to keep it dark in the morning.
The TV connection was poor and a lot of the channels wouldn’t connect even with resetting the channels. In the warmer months I think this would be less of an issue. However when it’s cold and not much else to do in the hut, being able to watch a film snuggled up in bed would have been nice.
One other touch which I considered was a small bin in the bathroom.
- Kirsty (7/5): Lovely surroundings and friendly staff - Friendly staff on arrival. Lovely surroundings, was great to see the animals. The shepherds hut was beautifully done out. Was warm and cosy. Fire pit was ready to use if we needed it but the night was just a little too cold for us to sit out. Location is perfect for visiting Richmond, literally 5 minutes down the road, and is an amazing town to visit. Nice to have tea, coffee, milk and juice on arrival. The b and b also serve breakfast if you want it and appear well priced. Perfect escape from everyday life! Nothing to not like, however the floors needed a good clean as were a bit muddy in places, however rest of cabin was clean. Needed a blind up at the door to give privacy when changing etc, we used a blanket up at the door which was fine. Unfortunately the cockerels woke us up from 01:30am so we got very little sleep, no fault of the owners and likely a one off as cockerels do usually sleep at night but we were just unlucky!
- Chelsea (10/5): - Lovely location
The sheep and chickens ect were a lovely little touch
Location was great, it was quiet and out of the way
Beautiful scenery and a short trip into local towns ect.
Lots of food places/pubs around as well
First time in Yorkshire and it was a lovely experience and would definitely stay again

- Helen (6/5): A beautiful hut, great location, really pleasant owner just would benefit from some finishing touches to justify the pri - Location, quirkiness No heating in bathroom, lumpy pillows, fridge and around it needed a better clean. Would be good to make guests aware of height of bed when booking

- Whitaker (10/5): - The stay was very relaxing, we had a spotlessly clean property, everything exceeded our expectations. We have already re booked to come back this time for two nights - The hut was cosy, well equipped and spotless let clean with thoughtful touches throughout. The views were beautiful and it felt wonderfully secluded, yet still close enough to the local town. The hosts were extremely friendly and very welcoming. Nothing at all, we had a perfect stay.

- Nicola (10/5): Brilliant stay - Everything was outstanding. The food was delightful and great value for money. Gill and Angela are very attentive and friendly. The scenery was exceptional. The goat and the sheep were so so friendly. In fact they were that friendly they come to help us eat our grapes lol. There wasn't anything to dislike.
- Claire (9/5): Cute little shepherds hut in gor - Set in a little farm, it has sheep, chickens, a goose and goat roaming around, which we absolutely loved! The hosts were really friendly. We arrived half an hour early and they made us a cuppa and we sat in their living area whilst they finished getting it ready. Really accommodating.
The tv was ok, signal a bit hit and miss. And no wifi. So just be prepared for that if you are wanting to watch netflix etc.
it has a fridge, toaster and kettle and also a little bathroom with shower.
If you arent very mobile be prepared that you have to climb up into the bed. This was fine for me though, as there is a little step to use. Only thing would be the wifi/tv
