Guest Reviews
- Liz (9/5): Lovely home from home welcoming and comfortable hotel - Lovely home from home fee. Breakfast is around a communal breakfast table, and it was a really lovely start to the day...chatting to Annie the manager, and other guests. The breakfast offered a range of good quality buffet type foods (yoghurts, fresh fruit, seeds, pastries) plus you could order freshly cooked food from the menu. Personal taste - the bathroom was a bath with a shower and shower curtain, in a Victorian style. I prefer more modern bathrooms, and really don't like the feel of a shower curtain when taking a shower.
- Angelina (10/5): -
- Linda (10/5): My favorite place to stay in London. It felt like home to me. - Everything! A beautifully restored townhouse that makes for an intimate and relaxing experience.
The staff are exceptional, Ann is both professional and warm and there to help with anything you may need. Anton was also helpful and kind. Can’t remember the rest of their names but the staff are what make the the stay memorable. ?
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Kathryn (10/5): A magical experience in a very special boutique hotel! - Beautifully decorated, centrally located and wonderfully attentive staff Nothing!
- Vladislav (10/5): We are definitelly coming to stay here again next time we are in London. - Everything was great. Starting from the hotel itself all the way to the staff and brealkfast. Location was great also and a lot thing to do and see nearby.
- Louise (10/5): Perfect - Personalized hospitality was the highlight of the stay, it felt like home and I loved all the details of it. It is super intimate and the breakfast is really amazing.
- Albert (10/5): - The accommodations, the staff, the breakfast and location were all wonderful!
- Nils (10/5): Coziest Hotel in London! - Henrys townhouse really is in an experience. Everyone is super friendly, the interior is as british as it gets- a lot of love for details, very familiar, the individually made breakfast is really good especially the full English. The location is quite nice for exploring London. We really felt at home, fell in love with the place and want to come back for sure! Nothing
- Penne (10/5): -
- Peter (10/5): -
- Team JRP LTD. Gemma (10/5): - Old fashioned in the best possible way. Lovely staff, gorgeous heritage rooms and stunning breakfast. Loved it!
- Rajul (7/5): Wonderful staff and breakfast! Beautiful location! Just don’t stay in Aunt Phillie bedroom - Absolutely loved the staff- so so helpful and friendly - Anne was WONDERFUL! So was Larry the chef, Rafael and also the east European lady whose name I can’t remember sorry!
Most delightful breakfast spread and attention to detail
My husband really enjoyed the hot breakfast choices
I was extremely happy with the yogurts, fresh fruit, pastries!
The location was excellent- beautiful and convenient neighborhood Our bedroom had many flaws- it was Aunt Phillie bedroom all the way on the top- the floor was uneven throughout and the room quite cramped for space. The bathroom was very small and the shower cabin door was stuck half way.
No doubt there were charming decorations, but the above factors made it hard to appreciate the bedroom
- Joanne (9/5): -
- Nicholas (10/5): - A charming, beautiful, historic house, with the exceptional Ann making sure we were looked after. Vintage charm with modern touches hidden away. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
- Kathryn (10/5): Book the whole place, unrivalled luxury - Personal service incredible attention to detail
- Ulla (10/5): -
- lida (10/5): - absolutely everything! nothing at all
- Michaella (10/5): Stunning boutique hotel with charming period details, incredible staff, and elegant rooms. - The property is absolutely stunning! My husband and I stayed here in the Eliza room for our wedding and our experience was simply magical. Ann and her team made us feel so welcome and treated us so well!
The Eliza room is beautiful and beyond comfortable…the bed is probably the most comfortable night’s sleep I’ve ever had. The details in the decor are so charming. I honestly wish I could have taken this whole room home with me.
The breakfast every morning was incredible. They had fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, granola, pastries, and more on a sideboard, as well as a delightful menu to order from (I am a fan of their avocado toast and their full English and my Husband loves their pancakes).
I would like to also mention they have 4 other common areas that are cozy and perfectly decorated. And while I didn’t realize this at the time we booked our stay, I soon found out that this townhouse is a place where Jane Austen’s brother, Henry (hence the name) lived with his wife from 1800-1804. As a huge Austen lover, this was the cherry on top for me.
I could probably gush about this place forever. We definitely plan to stay again.
- Alison (10/5): Unique and beautiful hotel - The hotel/building has been updated/restored to an excellent standard. It is so beautiful throughout and everything has been carefully chosen to take into account the history of the house. There is so much to take in. It’s clear all those involved are very passionate about it. Everything has been well thought out. It is unique. The breakfast room and breakfast was lovely and it was great being able to chat to the other guests. The manager went out of her way to make us feel very welcome. The location is quiet but it is very near the tube station and there are lovely shops and restaurants nearby.
- Stuart (10/5): - Everything was just perfect.
- agnes (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed in Henry’s Townhouse for 3 nights for my special birthday and they really did make it the most wonderful stay I have ever had in a hotel.
The personal service was so attentive from the moment we arrived till we sadly had to say goodbye .
The style and luxury just adds to the charm of this beautiful house .
The breakfast was absolutely amazing ,so delicious and served each day by Anne ,who could not do enough for us ,all the staff were so kind and thoughtful .
My son Fraser and I will absolutely be returning to this magical escape in the heart of Marylebone Loved everything
- Lynne (10/5): Wonderful - Luxury, relaxing, quiet, breakfast, comfort, staff and style. Nothing
We komen zonder twijfel terug.
- Michael (9/5): Bliss - Beautiful Nil
- Natasha (7/5): A little disappointing - Good location I asked specifically for a really romantic room as it was a special occasion. The room I got was right at the top and nowhere near as nice as the other rooms with four poster beds and roll top baths. Didn’t feel great when I paid over £500.
- BOVOLETIS (10/5): -
- Sophie (10/5): -
- floris (10/5): -
- Caroline (10/5): Perfect, relaxing, quirky, interesting, peaceful, welcoming, luxury, attentive - Fantastic breakfast at the large kitchen table which was beautifully laid out. It was a superb breakfast. The room was delightful and exceptionally quiet. The hotel had a balcony which was a very relaxing outdoor space and very welcome in the heat. The aircon was a valued bonus. Anne made us very welcome and booked us in at the Indian restaurant Tristans, she even let them know it was my birthday, so they brought a slice of dessert with a candle, nice touches.
- Valerie (10/5): I wish we could have stayed longer - the location is good easy walking distance to Hyde Park, Oxford Street and the love - Very understated from the outside but lovely and very elegant inside. Everything was wonderful
- Galeaz (BM) (10/5): - Beautifully appointed, great detail and history. Perfect elevated customer experience. Nothing
- Claudia (10/5): -
- Rosemary (9/5): Superb - All wonderful. Gracious staff. Beautiful decor. It is difficult to fault anything at all.
- Lydia (10/5): Must visit - We had 4 fabulous nights at Henry’s. Our room, the Eliza, was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring London. We really enjoyed sitting out on the terrace for a drink and the cooked breakfast from Larry each morning. We actually eloped in London during our stay and the staff were so kind to allow us to take some pics in the hotel and treated us to a bottle of wine. Such special memories at this place which we will hold dearly. Nothing.
- Kerstin (10/5): A perfect haven in London - We loved everything about Henrys Townhouse; the warm welcome, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast and perfect location.
- Mark (10/5): Amazing hotel which we will return to again and again - The whole stay was brilliant. Great staff and wonderful breakfast. Free mini-bar. Nothing at all to complain about
- Shawna (10/5): Henry's FOR THE WIN in London - What a brilliant hotel, and a lovely part of town away from Central London. The rooms are gorgeously appointed, with luxurious touches such as 300 count thread sheets and the softest towels I've ever had in any hotel that I've ever visited.
The amenities at this hotel include home-cooked breakfast every morning by the amazing chef Larry, a buffet of fruits and yogurt, and all the tea or coffee and chocolate you can ever imagine…
In the evenings you can have cocktails straight out of your in room refrigerator for free, or you can order drinks from the bar that will be charged to your room.
Any request that we had of staff was immediately addressed, with a smile and genuine concern for the well-being of the guests.
Beautifully decorated, well appointed rooms including things like 300 count th spreadsheets, luxury bath items, bottled water in the room and a refrigerator stocked with drinks. There are also coffee/tea and snacks available in the room throughout the stay for free.
The neighborhood district is lovely with tons of little shops and the great pubs and restaurants.
A final note that the hotel manager, Ann Grimes, is an absolute delight! She is warm and inclusive, funny and honest. An absolutely gorgeous human who I now consider a dear friend. The only complaint I have about this property has nothing to do with this property. From the district where we were staying, to get anywhere plan on at least a 40 minute to 1 hour Uber or cab ride.
- James (10/5): See you next time we are in London, no need to go anywhere else!!!!! - Lots of old world charm, which is rarely experienced these days but that hides the fact that it gives the quests all the modern amenities needed today to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing, including air conditioning which in a London basking in 30 degrees of heat was an absolute life saver!!!!!.
Cleanliness was superb, the staff were friendly and attentive, and Anne especially couldn’t do enough to make our stay most enjoyable even to the point of going to a local restaurant and booking our table for the evening while we relaxed after a busy day.
Breakfast too was most enjoyable, huge choice and beautifully cooked.
All in all a 5 star stay
Anne, a big thanks to you and your team. Nothing
- Julija (10/5): Perfect weekend - Everything!
Esprecially great staff and amazing breakfast.
- Dean (10/5): Absolutely perfect 🤩 - We stayed at Henry’s for our first little trip away from our baby. We actually live in London ourselves but wanted a special stay attending a Hyde Park concert. And, what a special place Henry’s Townhouse is! Anne made our stay truly wonderful. The rooms are so comfy and the house itself is absolutely beautiful. What an amazing little find! Everything in our room was complimentary, we had the most beautiful bath and, had the most amazing full english to sign off our visit. If you are looking to really experience true London, don’t stay in a chain Hotel, stay here! A quintessentially British Townhouse that provides a charm hard to find!
- Maggie (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent communal breakfast…quiet location
- Stefano (10/5): An elegant stay in London away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to everything. - It was a wonderful experience. The attention to detail and the ambience of the building was excellent. Staff were great and Ann in particular was so helpful and professional. Great location. Most heartily recommend staying there. Nothing. It was great.
- Andreea (10/5): Winderful - Fantastic period furnishings, a/c, wonderful host Ann Grimes, outstanding breakfast Small bathrooms I was afraid to use (being used to sturdy American size bathrooms) in case something broke, stairs that were extremely steep and narrow - I understand they are historic and charming, but climbing them up several times a day was an adventure
- Serhiy (10/5): Charming hotel with unique decor and amazing staff - We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It’s conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the underground station. The rooms are uniquely and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous—freshly prepared by the chef and a real highlight of our stay. Most of all, the staff treated us like family, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. We’re already looking forward to coming back!
- Yasmine (10/5): My daughter and I spent the night between flights here and it was perfect. Such a gorgeous townhouse and really excellen - Beautiful property with great history! Very nice staff. Lovely breakfast. Comfortable bed!
- Karen (9/5): Superb - The property is of a very high standard and the breakfasts are also very good and freshly prepared. The location is great for shopping at Selfridges etc., Marylebone station is also walkable as is Hyde Park. We really enjoyed our time there and would stay again.
- Richard (10/5): Charming property, a must for travellers who want to experience that authentic old British character - Absolutely charming property tastefully restored and maintained, much more character than the usual hotel Access on arrival could be better but was easily remedied
- Simon (10/5): The staff are absolutely fantastic and the Managaress Ann totally charming. - Authentic and charming…. As a listed building, the stairs are steep…
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Philippa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachael (10/5): A gem that hasn’t been truly uncovered - There was absolutely nothing that I didn’t like about this property. From the moment you walk into the door, the staff greets you, assists you with whatever you need, and gives you a tour. And it never stops being that great. The rooms were lovely, a good size, cool, comfortable, and quiet.
- Ross (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (9/5): Beautiful small hotel in a great location. - Warm welcome, lovely restored building, beautiful furnishings, attentive staff, in a great location. The townhouse is located in a busy area, with restaurants and pubs nearby. As a light sleeper, I had to wear both earplugs and noise cancelling headphones to block the sound of people partying at nearby pubs at night. To be clear, there was no noise from the interior of the building, just the surrounding neighborhood.
- Jeremiah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teresa (10/5): I would give a rating for this hotel and its team an 11! Everything was just superb! - Staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor is stunning, and the beds and rooms are very comfortable. Beautiful breakfast room with excellent food; lots of choice, and complimentary snacks, tea, and mini bar. Nothing. Everything was superb!
- Rob (9/5): Time travel to an elegant and unforgettable British experience! - Love the atmosphere and attention to detail. It feels like you've stepped into another time period. Wonderful experience and a fantastic location! The downstairs kitchen and breakfast were an absolute thrill. The staff is all incredibly friendly and helpful! Wish the bed and room chairs would have been more comfortable. The bathroom, although luxurious and unique, was difficult to use. For example, the stand-alone tub/shower combo, although beautiful, was awkward to use.
- Kirill (10/5): Exceptional - Many thanks to Ann for the top-level hospitality. I was very warmly welcomed. They asked me what I was interested in. In 30 minutes, they prepared a detailed report at my request and sent it to me by email. I was introduced to other guests from Scotland. Ann took into account all the wishes for breakfast (there were berries, fruits and perfect serving). These guys are obsessed with cleanliness, and I really liked it. I slept well. The air was fresh, low in CO2, and had a wonderful atmosphere in the city center -
- Gulen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): I was made to feel at home with the cozy atmosphere and wonderful hosts. - There was nothing I didn’t like. The decor was beautiful with attention to detail, fresh flowers everywhere. Breakfast was delicious with a wide selection of fresh food. The best part was the delightful staff, I can’t remember everyone’s name but Raphael, Tiara and Ann were real standouts. Thank you for your generous hospitality.
- Bobbie (10/5): Surpassed expectations would highly recommend this little gem - Beautiful gem in a great location . Staff super friendly . Breakfast was outstanding . A quality boutique hotel with an exceptional focus on every detail to make your stay memorable. We will be back .

- Lesley (9/5): Superb -
- Cathy (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Truly magical place. - Staff all brilliant. Breakfast was outstanding Six flights of stairs is not for the faint-hearted (or un-fit)
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - The hotel was very comfortable and stylish.
The breakfast was delicious and the staff excellent.
- Sue (9/5): Relaxing and informal. - Great stay. Breakfast was delicious. Room

- Sonja (9/5): Lovely place to stay - Lovely appointed house.
Excellent location
Very friendly and helpful staff that went beyond Needed a shower cap for the rain head shower - very minor point
