- Marzena (9/5): - Świetni właściciele. Dobra atmosfera. Super kuchnia i miejsce wypoczynku na dachu Mało łazienek - jedna na ośmioosobowy pokój to czasem spory problem.
- ChaoTing (8/5): Economic and efficient, in general clean, you get what you pay. - Staff is very helpful, they answer your question and try to assist. Only one bathroom inside the 8 beds dorm, it can be hard to get in.
There is a fan for each bed, but most of them is fixed in its position, cannot turn around, make it less useful.
- Callum (8/5): - Basic but comfortable hostel, clean and kind staff. Fairly reasonably priced for Caye Caulker
- Innocenza (6/5): - In Ordnung für low Budget. Die Küche ist sehr praktisch. Personal waren etwas genervt.

- Travelling Hobo (8/5): - Nice, quiet enough location.
Hot shower mostly.
Nice rooftop area with kitchen.
Fridge inside room
Staff were delightful.
Solid beds and comfortable mattresses. Orientation of the fan over the bed was cumbersome and in the way. Was unable to sit up in the bed due to no headboard or wall.

- Joachim (9/5): -
- Giuditta (6/5): ok per una notte - Staff Gentile Struttura datata. non tra le più centrali (ma l'isola è piccola)
- Leon (8/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): Loved it !!! - - they change bed sheets every day
- cool rooftop kitchen
- you can book cheap activities with them
- really kind owner !!! There are a lot of cats, because she owns a lot and cares for all on the island!! So if you book a room there, you‘ll support the cats aswell!!
Would come back 10000% !!! you need to walk about 10min to the center, but that is not a problem !!

- Worldglobetrotter (3/5): Bad location and above all bad tour! The guides were incompetent and the owner was unwilling to help. - There is no aircon (which is better for me) and each bed has its own fan which you can adapt as you wish (I received enough ventilation from other people’s fan, so I kept mine switched off). There is a fridge in the room. The terrace is pleasant (with good view at sunset) and the kitchen is fully equipped. The hotelier was responsive to the messages on booking.com app prior to my arrival, which is very important for the organization of the stay: Caye Calker itself has no attractions and the beach is ok although not that beautiful, so you have to join a tour (which is overpriced). The hostel organizes a tour to Hol Chan, but not every day so it is important to plan in advance. It is possible to pay by card (if you wish, even in British Pounds as the owner is from the UK). Beds have no privacy curtains and there are only small lockers for valuables for which you need your own padlock. The location is uncomfortable: although the island is not big, you have to walk a lot before going to the “active” part of the town which lies exactly on the opposite side of the island (unlike mainland Belize, the Cayes are safe also at night so you can walk, by it is a long walk). Their tour was very amateur and a huge disappointment. It really ruined my stay. The two guides were absolutely improvised and not prepared for the job. The hotelier did not try to make a remedy to what happened and did not put any effort in transferring vids by several means of communication in order to reach customers from different parts of the world where different apps are used and different video formats apply therefore hoteliers must be prepared to “speak different languages” to accommodate a worldwide clientele. The hotelier did not want to provide contacts for the Blue Hole tour (which is better from Caye Caulker than San Pedro). Beware also of the fact that there are no more manatees in the area: usually tours (like the one of this hostel) schedule a stop on their tours to make a manatee quest which is a waste of time (there were also some tours dedicated only to this, but they are a total scam).
- Jan-eric (7/5): okay, but no curtain and too small locker - - Free drinking water to refill
- Staff very nice and helpful
- clean
- quickly reachable via Whatsapp
- Wifi ok
- Air conditioning good
- Shower gel and shampoo available
- Soap available
- Location ok
- Bed comfortable
- Roof terrace good
- Shower water was warm - no curtain on the bed
- Locker much too small (no laptop/MacBook fits in there!
- Power sockets very loose. My power supply fell out all the time
- There were a few blood stains in my comforter cover
- No oil in the kitchen
- Towel only against deposit
- in a room with 8 people you only have one bathroom
- no oil in the kitchen (or was empty)
- Jxtravels (6/5): Quiet, affordable place - The cleanliness is acceptable. The place was quiet. The rooftop kitchen was very useful. The woman at the staff was not friendly. She looks like she gets annoyed every time someone asks her a question. When checking in, she sounds like she's in a rush and spoke too fast and looked annoyed when asked to repeat what she just mumbled. The sheet they provide you as a blanket was too thin.
- Patrick (9/5): Superb -
- Aaron (7/5): Good -
- Rastislav (9/5): Superb -
- Christen (8/5): A general Clean & good atmosphere withing the lodging setting, able to meet other travelers. - The room is secured with a digi code and a personnel locker box.
It's is well equipped with your own fan, has a common frig and a spacious tiled bathroom.
The upper sky top floor has a wide kitchen space to hang out and meet other travelers. wished for a more friendly approach from the staff.
- Rastislav (8/5): Very good -
- Isabella (9/5): Superb -
- Celine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yotam (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Good -
- Secil (9/5): Good value for money! - Nice rooftop, comfortable beds (I stayed in the non- ac rooms but each bed has its own fan so it was still perfect), good shower and internet. I even extended a day more, I loved it so much.
- Liad (8/5): Very good -
- Maisy (9/5): Superb - Nice relaxed vibe. Loved the A/C being left on during the day.
Great touch of having filtered water in the room and a fridge.
Staff super helpful and always answered with a smile.
- Andre (10/5): The hostel has a very nice personality to it - Walking distance to practically anywhere on the island!
- Calder (8/5): Very good - I liked the bunk beds, which are fixed and don’t move about, and there’s space for your luggage . The kitchen is well applianced A second bathroom would have been good. Plus a coffee maker of some kind.
- Jaide (7/5): Location is good, kitchen good, accommodation is pretty basic - Good location, good kitchen. You get what you pay for. The forms are so hot during the day, a big fan would be nice, also only tiny little lockers and bathroom could be cleaner.
- Patrizia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edward (8/5): Very good - Cheap as far as Caye caulker goes. Kept tidy and clean. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen, free water, fridges, chill area on the roof with some books. You can do your laundry there. A bit out of the way, but only a 10-15 month walk to the centre. Dorm beds don’t have curtains. Light from the street comes in through the windows.
- Simon (9/5): Superb - I guess the best option on Caye Caulker with respect to value and price. Very good room with strong allday AC. Everything was clean. Cool rooftop terrace and kind staff.
- Francisco (7/5): It is what it is - Just a place to sleep A little to far from the split
- Corinna (9/5): Superb - Clean, lockers, big kitchen and nice rooftop, lots of space right at the bed to put stuff, each bed has a fan, you can book a snorkeling tour there for 80 USD that includes pictures with a GoPro. Some rooms have A/C, some don't and it's the same price. It gets freaking hot at night without. Light in the bathroom could be better. Rooms kind of smelly. No curtains on the beds. When you don't even use a blanket because of the heat, a little more privacy would be nice.
- Suzan (5/5): Passable - The bathroom was clean and spacious. It's pretty far away, 10/15 minute walk to the centre. Not a problem for us, but in this case because the island is so small you easily want to get back to your hostel after walking around. To get some stuff or bring something back, or just chill. Beds were not comfortable and I didn't feel the backpacker vibe. Chill area wasn't very big and nice
- Trevor (9/5): Superb -
- Sophie (5/5): Basic and a little weird - The hostel is 10-15min from the City Center and they clean daily. It is very Basic -kind of uncomfortable social area - and not that social, even fully booked.
We found it a Little weird, that the people working there would enter our room to refill their water bottles like almost every 45min and if you brush your teeths in the bathroom with open door, they would enter and start cleaning without saying “hey” or asking, if you’re okey. So often times you would feel they were invading your privacy a lot. I wouldn’t come back if there is other options tbh.
- Lara-christin (7/5): Good -
- Samantha (7/5): Good -
- Simon (9/5): Superb - Great hostel, best affordable way to visit Caye Caulker Not much floor space in rooms for unpacking bags
- František (10/5): Exceptional -
- František (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sascha (10/5): Perfect and social place - Loved this place! Very clean and the dorms are spacious and there is airconditioning which is perfect! The kitchen is also very nice. They don’t have a lot of activities but it’s still very social, it easy to sit in the communal area and chat with people
- Joshua (8/5): Very good -
- Alexa (9/5): Superb - The rooftop makes meeting new people very easy and fun! The hostel is further away from the party zone (7min walk) which is nice because you can relax and sleep peacefuly once you are done partying. Dorms have everything you need. The staff wasnt particularly friendly.
- Christine (10/5): Clean, quiet hostel with helpful staff and good location. - Well maintained hostel. Good facilities with roof-top common space and quiet location. Helpful staff, social atmosphere but not too much partying. Suitable for all ages.
- Renata (9/5): Good - Good location. The room was spacious enough. There are small lockers for your valuables. Only one bathroom for 8 people was a bit difficult sometimes.
- Max (9/5): comfy and quiet hostel just outside the main streets of caye caulker - Great communication, facilities, comfy. we did the snorkeling through the hostel and it was amazing! I got pretty burnt so make sure you bring good coverings when you go snorkeling. I wish there were more bathrooms, we had one in suite for the dorm and then I think the only other one was on the roof. I might be wrong.
- Asia (7/5): Good - The hostel is in a quiet location. Dorms are clean. The bathroom and shower are quite big. You have absolutely no privacy in the dorms.
- Atulin (8/5): Very good - Bed is comfortable, toilet is clean, with free drinking water. Not enough toilet, the fan for my bed is too noisy. Sometimes wifi not works well.
- Lucas (10/5): Exceptional - I really liked the hostel. There was a fridge, Wi-Fi router and water refills in each room. The staff was very helpful and attentive. They even offered free towels. I highly recommend it.
- Tiffany (10/5): Good value for money - The owner is very nice, she gave me lots of information before i arrive.
The snorkeling tour from the hostel was amazing. We had 5 long stops and stayed there until sunset. We didn’t feel rushed and had lots of time to explore the marine life which was great.
AC and bathroom in the dorm.
Very clean dorm and kitchen.
Quiet at night.
- Raishna (9/5): Superb - Very nice hostel! It's clean and has a nice common area and kitchen! It is maybe a bit far from the center but definitely still walkable. Would really recommend it, especially for this price! Maybe a bit far from the center
- Nathaniel (10/5): Exceptional - Sophie was very helpful as were the rest of the staff. Hammock in the common area upstairs is very comfortable. Place is about a 5-10 minute walk from the main part of the island but I enjoyed the walk. The snorkel tour that is offered was amazing as well. The WiFi was kind of difficult to connect to from the rooms, but I would just lay in the hammock upstairs and the roof WiFi worked with no problems.
- Rosemary (8/5): Good place to sleep - The staff were so lovely and helpful, and really responsive by WhatsApp. The dorm was clean, with strong air-conditioning, a water dispenser in the room, and an ensuite bathroom - with hot water! It's a good place to sleep. It might have been nice if more activities were on offer or snorkels available to borrow. Also the location is out of the centre and 15-20 minutes from the Split - not far but it feels it in the heat so I would recommend planning to hire a bike (15 Belizean dollars/24 hours from several places in town).
- The (9/5): Warm, helpful and homely option in Caye Caulker. - 1) Excellent, empathetic staff, Sophie is an absolute gem of a person who helped me in several ways over two days. Great conversation with Bo.
2) A nice kitchen area with superb views of the ocean, you can meditate looking at the blue waters cross-legged atop a table!
3) Drinking water fillers available inside the room - excellent.
4) Ample cooking area in the kitchen.
5) Nice seating area in kitchen to bond with other residents.
6) Taking the snorkelling tour with others from my hostel, being picked up from the property together. 1) Kitchen seating area can be better designed, as it is exposed to rain and everything gets moist, windows do not shut.
2) Bathroom a little cramped with multiple users, also a little mouldy.
3) Getting in and out of the dorm with a complicated key code system is cumbersome, ultimately people end up leaving the door open.
- Charelle (8/5): Very good - Had a great time at this hostel. Not very much choice on the island and was very happy i could stay here. Really nice people working there who would do alot to make me happy.
- Hanna (8/5): Very good - The atmosphere is nice. The rooftop is cool.
The downstairs room have AC.
You can store your luggage before and after your stay The shower head is in the wrong position, and you can't move it. The shower has no power.
The owner was nice, the other ladys looked annoyed if you had questions
The bed needs a new mattress.😅
- Joanne (6/5): Pleasant -
- Σεηλορ (8/5): Cozy, colorful - Colorful hostel, nice vibes. The 8-bed dorm where I stayed had 2 rooms so that it didn't feel crowded. The room has a fridge and a bathroom, also a machine for tap water which is greatly appreciated. Every bed has its own plug. They have a spot for washing your clothes and a lot of space to hang it (although it wasn't drying fast because eof humidity I guess). The rooftop with the kitchen was nice. It was overall a good experience, the place has a good price for the islands standards. They also had no problems with me exercising in the yard. The facilities are old and worn out. The lockers are very small, you can only put few valuables and they don't feel safe anyway (old wooden lockers). Every bed has a fan which can be regarded as s positive by many but I found it negative since when your neighbor turned on the fan you couldn't avoid it yourself (I was freezing sometimes). One bathroom for 8 people can create a queue sometimes. The overall setting doesn't feel safe but I think the owners count on the general safety in the island, since the main door of the hostel has always been open. You can also get in the room by a code which is complicated and you have to have it as a picture on your phone, this means you cannot exit the room without the phone or without battery on your phone. I don't know how often they change the codes but it doesn't feel safe. There are also many stairs up and down so that the place is not suitable for people with disabilities. The sheet that they provider at night is VERY thin and its as if you have nothing to cover. The location is not the best since it's far from the main interesting things but the island is really small so it doesn't really affects.
- Valentina (10/5): The best in the island - I was in many hostel in the Island, here the best! Everything for being clean, for resting and meeting people. Bed perfect, with plugs and spaces for putting your stuff. Terraza Amazing and kitchen. Nothing!
- Jacob (8/5): Very good - I really liked the rooftop area with a nice view and cooking area with an extra washroom up there. The rental bikes were a great add. I didn't love the storage space in the rooms for top bunk users, and the lack of places to hang towels and things. Each bed had one hook. The location was a little further from the main strip and the split but it wasn't too far. Just a pain if you had to go back and quickly get something. Would recommend renting the bike!
- Wendy (8/5): Loved my stay at Travellers Palm. - Great location 10 minute walk from town. Hot showers, comfortable beds with fridge & bathroom in rooms. Nice rooftop kitchen & lounge area with water view. Very friendly & knowledgeable staff. Snorkel trips & bike rental available.
- Michael (9/5): Great backpackers spot on Caye Caulker - The staff were friendly
I met some great people while staying here :)
The bed was comfortable
It was nice to have a fan at the bed and water in the room
The bathroom was good
The kitchen seemed good
The security box was nice to have for valuables
The room locks for extra security The location is a small walk (15 mins) to the more popular areas by the pier - easy walk though
Some hammocks or clothes hanging spots could have been nice
I had to forfeit a night as my sail trip was leaving sooner that anticipated - 0% no refund was too bad, but I understand as they didn’t think they could fill the space.
- Zafer (8/5): ıt is ok for one/two day stay - wide roof top kitchen, bathroom feel the location a little bir far from center, when it rain or under the sunshine
- Jessica (8/5): Overall an excellent hostel and incredible value for money compared to most of the other options on this expensive islan - The beds were super comfy - individual fans for each bed made it easy to cool without aircon. Very nice shower. Staff were friendly. In a quiet location about a 10 minute walk from a lot of the things to do in Caye Caulker. The cleaners would come in from about 9am without knocking and leave the doors open meaning on one occasion some random people wandered into our room whilst we were sleeping - they told us that the hostel staff had said it was okay for them to have a look in the different rooms which we thought was weird and inappropriate. They do try to sell their own boat trip and we were given incorrect advice regarding the differences between their trip and others offered on the island. These were both small issues though and overall we had a great stay.
- Tom (10/5): Amazing stay at a fantastic hostel :) - Absolutely lovely hostel with great personal. Super helpful and friendly. Also the other guests made the stay unforgettable. Cool rooftop for socializing.
They even made our beds, which is special for hostels. Thank you! Reception could open a little earlier as we had to catch our ferry at 10:30, but it was no big deal as we made it without a problem. But I guess some others might feel a little bit stressed if they get to a ferry just on time.
- Liezl (10/5): Perfect for the more quiet relaxed backpacker - Clean rooms and kitchen and bathrooms. Nice rooftop hangout area. Safety lockers. Individual fans and outlets at bedside. Free water refill. Full size fridge in room to keep drinks cool. Location was a bit farther from the main road and happenings
- Alicja (8/5): Very good - - Room was cleaned daily by housekeeping and sheets were changed, which made the hostel very clean
- Nice rooftop with a kitchen and nice view from there
- Beds were comfortable, however, a privacy curtain would be a nice add on
- Good price and location, not too far from the centre of the island
- Quite a social hostel, so easy to meet people, mix of games and books was available on the terrace
- they do offer boat tours but there wasn't one going on the day that I was there so cant comment whether it's good or bad - 1 bathroom for 8 people. You really have to wait long for your turn.
- Little fans near bed are very loud
- lockers are very small
- staff seems very disinterested in anything
Overall still a very good hostel for the price paid, would reccomend
- Shelley (8/5): Very good - the place was extremely well run.. loved the rooftop kitchen. Beds were made every a.m. great little far from town but was fine. small town
- Lam (7/5): Good - It's clean. Value to money. With hot water. The bed sheet only change when you leave. Not daily as other comments.
With grudge in your room. No curtain. No privacy as very close to the next bed 's feet.
Not much space to leave your stuff.
