- Raunelli (4/5): - La playa No tienen ninguna actividad, no alquilan bicicletas, kayaks.
Demasiado zancudo Deben fumigar

- Martinez (8/5): -
- lopez (6/5): The place needs to improve the quality of customer service, specially in the front desk. I didn’t receive the service I - It’s near the beach The administration’s staff is not prepare well to receive big groups of people

- Fajardo (7/5): Acogedora - Desayuno incluido, bien, mar relativamente cerca.

- meza (10/5): - La piscina nitida
Comida rica
Seguridad e higiene
- Pablo F. Ayes (8/5): - Instalaciones, comodidad, tranquilidad, seguridad El wifi es de mala calidad, casi nunca estaba funcionando
- david junior (10/5): -
- Edwin (5/5): Need Improvement - The room was great, very neat, in front of the beach. It was well-equipped, except for no drinking water. The hotel has changed negatively since the last time I visited. It no longer owns the swimming pool and restaurant in front of the beach, so you pay extra for that. They don't have a generator - lights went out, and we had a hard time trying to sleep in an oven! They don't even make drinking water available in rooms or building.
- Bogran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Castillo (10/5): Exceptional -

- Roberto (1/5): Worst beach night ever - First, the hotel assigned us a room with no a/c. Then in the middle of the night the public electricity supply was suspended so we couldn’t sleep because of the hot. We understand that unexpected events could happen but, as a top 4 beach hotel in the area, they should have power backups.
Last, as there was no electricity, no water was available either so we ended up going home with salt all over us.
- Luis (5/5): Not so pleasant. Not a complete experience where you can relax and forget about everything. - It was clean, good maintenance, nice looking, everything worked. The fact that the owners of Honduras Shore Plantation and the Restaurant on the Beach are no longer partners. I stayed at HSP and wanted to park at the beach front at the restaurant and they told me to park beside their property. I could still visit the restaurant but as a guest, not use the pool, and be there as a guest if I consume. On the other part of the property, where I could park, there are no amenities like beach chairs or umbrellas. There is like a restaurant, but with plastic, uncomfortable cheap chairs. The breakfast place near the cabanas is also not very nice, same breakfast every day (a tipico Honduras breakfast with lots of fat and no juice and not so food coffee). I just decided to go to the city for breakfast.
- Guillermo (6/5): Pleasant - Privacy. Old Loud Ac at the living room. Bad internet access for remote work. No hot water. No microwave. Lose power outlets. For the price I could had stayed at a 4 star hotel.
- George (7/5): Good -
- Ingrid (4/5): Not on the beach - Comfortable Location! On the app it made it seem like this hotel was on the beach but it was not I had to drive to get to the beach it was close like a 4 minute drive but still it was a drive the security told us that we couldn't use the private beach that that was like property of the hotel a different Hotel the one in front that's yellow so these little Shacks or little cabins they don't have access to the beach per se and also to get to the location the roads were not in good condition you got to it was very muddy you know I know that's not the hotels fault but you know still is hard to reach
- Leitzelar (6/5): Pleasant -
- Leitzelar (7/5): Good -
- Yunira (4/5): Disappointing - The way to the hotel was horrible there is no even one activista to do besides the Pool The Streets where horrible

- Allan (5/5): Passable -
- Melissa (8/5): Very good -
- Gilberto (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesly (10/5): Exceptional - Ocean the best
- Aimee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (3/5): The stay was overall disappointing. We will stay at other hotels for future trips to Tela. - The door knob was not operational and would not open after being shut. During this time half of our group was locked into the room while the other half was locked on the outside. We tried calling the property and were not able to get anyone on the phone and had to hunt for someone who worked at the property to get us help. The issues was finally resolved over an hour later.
The TV in the cabana did not work. Even after the maintenance team looked at it the TV was not operational.
When we went to the beach access we were told we could not use the showers at the main Shore plantations hotel to get the sand off of us before getting in our car to drive back to the cabana. When I booked this room I was originally looking at rooms at the hotel and only selected the cabana so we could all be together. I was unaware that we could not use this facility and find it outrageous that these outdoor showers would be off limits as we also were staying with Shore plantations.
- Debbie (7/5): Nice, short and hot but pretty and the ocean was amazing. - The beach and the clean rooms. That the pool was a part of the restaurant, it the resort so you have to pay extra or eat there to use it. It turned out to be ok because we ate there but it was a little uncomfortable at first when someone an ousted us as if we weren’t supposed to be there.
Also we didn’t like that we were in the higher priced main building but we had to go a very long way down a road to a pool on the back side of the resort to find our breakfast
- Marco (1/5): Not recommended place , if you can skip it please do it. - Actually I didn’t like anything , reservation include breakfast but is a low cost option, better to eat something outside the facilities. The location, is NOT FRONT the beach, so if you want to go to the “beach club “ you need to pay an extra fee ( 5 bucks per person and 5 bucks for parking ), the facilities wasn’t clean at my arrival time …
- Pedro (10/5): Really fullfiled my expectation - Beach Location was the best Needs more choices for food.
- Lissa (7/5): I love the beach there - The place is beautiful and clean You need to pay extra for the pool
- Aly (3/5): Poor -
- Rossie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ana (3/5): Poor - The price offered on the website was lower than what they charged me
- Thomas (1/5): The worst hotel I've ever stayed at in Tela! - Staff
The staff was very unapologetic about all of my problems. They did nothing to help us. The security guards on the property are like bullies. They follow you around everywhere you go and "intimidate" you with their presence. At the time of check out (10:00 AM), there was no one working in reception. I couldn't even properly check out. I had to leave my keys with one of the rude guards. That is horrible customer service.
Facilities
The website lists a swimming pool as an included facility. But when we got there we were informed that to use the pool it is an extra charge. We were also told that we are not able to use personal coolers on the property, which was not listed on the website.
Cleanliness
There was trash and litter all over the beach and the hotel grounds. It was disgusting.
Comfort
Flat pillows, beds and mattresses so old that my back hurt, couldn't adjust the A/C and it was freezing cold all night. The beds had paper thin sheets that didn't keep us warm.
Value for Money
Honduras Shores Plantations is one of the most expensive hotels in all of Tela and it is one of the worst. There was no value for my money.
Location
Honduras Shores Plantations is located in a dangerous neighborhood of San Juan. One morning while we were driving out of the neighborhood and into town, we were stopped by the locals. They had made a "make shift" road block, forced our car to stop and made us pay a cash bribe before they would allow us to continue. I had my two daughters with me and this is unacceptable. I understand it is Honduras, but that was a dangerous situation for us to be in.
How comfy were the beds?
The beds were horrible. My back still hurts.
How did you find communicating with Honduras Shores Plantations (if applicable)?
None of the phone numbers listed online work. They are all disconnected. I had to go into reception and ask them in person to give me a working phone number. How did you find communicating with Honduras Shores Plantations (if applicable)?
None of the phone numbers listed online work. They are all disconnected. I had to go into reception and ask them in person to give me a working phone number. Also, at the time of check out, there was no one working. I had to give my room key to a guard.
How quiet was your room?
Not quiet at all. On Saturday night, after 10:00 PM, there were multiple ATV's, Jeeps, and "side by side" vehicles on the beach, shining their headlights directly into my room and driving around all over the propery with loud exhaust and music playing. I complained to the reception and the guards about the noise and they did nothing to help me. They didn't even speak. They just looked at me while I told them about my problem.
Also, the glass on my balcony windows was broken. I will attach pictures.
- John (10/5): It's a very special place. The beach & lagoon and hotel are beautiful. It was a nice holiday! - Breakfast was tasty!
- Brito (1/5): Terrible - Nothing Everything was so poor looking and cheap. There was trash everywhere and the installations looked like they haven’t clean or take care of it at all.
- Diana (6/5): Pleasant -
- Benja (5/5): Passable -
- Muhammad (6/5): Pleasant -
