Nell (8/5): Cozy and timeless - Very special, but cozy room. The atmosphere was fitting. The bathroom was clean (with a hair dryer). Easy parking, even easier check-in/check-out! And a lovely little welcome gift as well :) The breakfast was really good and diverse, but I missed some cheese or other savoury items.

All in all it was a lovely guesthouse with a great big hangout eating space! Very homely. The owner did not introduce himself or show us around. We ere given the key and went off to sort stuff ourselves. He was nice enough though. The 2 rooms we had had windows facing into the common room with just curtained windows to separate the spaces. If people were sitting under the window it could have been a bit confronting. I would stay there again but ask for one of the other rooms.
Kaye (9/5): A little taste of the Hydro in Cooma. - I loved the old world decor, comfy bed and beautiful linen. Compact space in room but well appointed. Bathroom old in keeping with home but clean. Nice hot shower. Bathroom window opens. Breakfast room the grandeur of yesteryear and help yourself. We usually like to sleep with the window open. The effective air conditioner overcame this in room 5.

Shirley (8/5): This was the second time staying at this location, and will do so again sometime in the future. - Breakfast included in price was broad-ranging in variety, and served in an impressive heritage-style dining room overlooking lovely spring gardens. Quiet location, well away from traffic in main street. Allocated bedroom was nicely furnished, but limited in floorspace. Manouevering heavy suitcase was a bit awkward.

Given it was advertised as a 'Luxury Room' it was disappointing. Further, the tube of Hair Conditioner in the shower had been used and there was only a tiny amount left in the tube.

Very convenient and easy. Off street parking with easy access. 10/10. The hot water took a fair while to warm up. The hot water service must be a far distance from the room.

We understand it’s a European breakfast with just a juice, a tea and some toast, but it could’ve been a little better for the money we paid and the yogurt was expired so we had toast and coffee. It would be nice if they had had some muffins or croissant or a slice of cheese, etc..
Ashirwad (4/5): - Cheap and Cheerful, but it was very cold and there is no heating - centrally controlled times for the boiler, and it wasn't effective. Bathrooms were freezing cold in the morning. Typical , clean no frills B+B. Does the job if youre not fussy.

anne (7/5): Won’t stay again, I’m there are nicer places. - Location Pleasant owners Old house needs updating Greeted by lady who smiled but didn’t speak, but the gentleman was pleasant enough although he didn’t seem to like me asking for help after I had to call him because he had disappeared. Upon arrival the room was cold in fact the house wasn’t warm or inviting although I did get a heater given to me The bathroom was freezing no heater in the bathroom and no extractor fan. When I opened the window I couldn’t shut it. No shampoo available. The breakfast was basic so I don’t know what is meant by options. I parked at the back but had to climb steep stairs to get back into the house. When I left I had to carry my bag down the same steps while the owner looked on and didn’t offer to help. The reviews didn’t reflect at all my stay. Very disappointing and will not stay there again.

Bed was a little small, felt more like a double than Queen? Main issue was a very loud humming noise that went on for 20 minutes then off most of the night making it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was just cereal and toast with tea. Adequate not amazing

The daily continental breakfast is a great way to start the day. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting the lovely town of Cooma.

Big room, quiet location, comfortable bed and HOT shower (winner in the winter especially). Nice breakfast available and good location to other restaurants etc I’ll definitely come back next time I need accommodation in Cooma.

Neilson (3/5): Freezing room, run down property, poor value. - Location is good - central Cooma, easy walk to town. Parking was fine. The room was freezing. We (me + 2 kids) stayed in room 7 (Triple room). We slept in full flanellete pajamas, wool socks, puffer jackets and a beanie. The sign on the wall says "central heating is on between 630-1030pm and 6-10am", but the central heating consists of one tiny radiator and even when it is on for those few hours, the room was still freezing. It's a bit of a slap in the face to guests to only turn the heating on for those short periods. I told the host we were cold and he said "nobody ever complained to me about that before". Nice. I'd guess it was less than 3 degrees in the bathroom this morning. Wifi does not reach room 7. If you want to use the TV you have to hot spot off your phone. There is no aerial connection. Most of the apps on the "smart TV" don't work anyway. There were 3 lamps in the room - only one worked. The host tried to help by replacing a globe but that wasn't the issue. The shower is over an elevated former bath. It doesn't function as a bath any more, but its a huge step to get up and into the bath to have a shower. My kids couldn't get in and out by themselves. There is no drying room for ski gear. Breakfast was very basic (cereal and fruit toast) and not in line with expectations of a $300/night stay. I've stayed in dozens of lodges in Jindabyne and Cooma over the last 20 years or so. This is the only one I've ever been cold in, and by far the worst value for money I've come across in that time. I hate writing bad reviews, I really do, but this is one place to avoid.

Marion (8/5): Comfortable stay - The place has a cosy feeling and breakfast was great. Friendly staff. To save on energy bills, no heating during the day. I was staying in Cooma while my family went skiing. The building stays reasonably warm but not enough when staying still reading a book. I bought a big hot water bottle to help me stay warm. It won't be an issue for people hitting the slopes during the day. Heating is great when it's on.

Heater is only running for 4 hrs in the morning and 4 hrs in the evening which i was not aware when booking. But the rooms are well maintained and clean

Building is old with creaky floorboards and heating comes on at 7.30 and it probably would be noisy if accommodation was full. It suits seniors who like quaint and nostalgic. Breakfast room was lovely and we used the cozy sitting room. Owner/manager friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and matched with the style of accommodation. Would definitely stay there again.

Robyne (8/5): Old world charm and comfort made easy. - BREAKFAST was OK but missed the choice of museli. Early breakfast people ensure that there is no sleep-in, but noise was just chatter at a normal level. The room was quickly warmed on check-in, which was appreciated at the end of a sunny day turned quite cold. Loved the old-world atmosphere and decor where everything was cared for and in fine working order. Many extra facilities are present with extra sitting rooms to allow get-togethers and a lovely wide room overlooking Cooma where one could tone up on gym equipment. Would have appreciated the tip to drop off luggage at the front entrance with one of the travelling party……it is a bit of an uphill hike from the carpark at the rear if also carrying baggage. As it was, we observed the struggle of guests ahead of us and were saved the effort. Check-in was smooth and uncomplicated which was another positive at the end of a very long drive.

Beds were very comfy and bathroom clean with lots of natural light and fresh air. Quiet location As travelling around for 10 days we had larger pieces of luggage and our room was on top floor with steep stairway. We stayed in Room 7 with 1 Queen & 1 single. bed. The room was too small for 2 beds. We had to keep moving our luggage around so we could access different parts of the room as was so cluttered. At night we had to move our luggage right in front of door otherwise we would have tripped over it during the night

My bed was also very comfortable, which is rare when staying at most accommodation in smaller towns. Water from shower ran across the whole bathroom floor, had to block with bath mat. Also room was a little bit cool, maybe need to turn on central heating a bit earlier. But on these were only minor points.
