Alec (1/5): Property Not Ready At Check In Time - No Alternative Accommodation or Reimbursement Provided - We arrived late Sunday night at our agreed check in time after having paid an additional 300 euro which the property requested as a safety deposit before they would release the check in information to us. Although the property had confirmed that they had received our deposit and gave us the check in information, when we arrived at the property it wasn't ready or cleaned with food, used dish wear, clothes, unmade beds with no linen, laundry in the washing machine and no towels present. We called the property managers explaining the situation and they said they would be unable to arrange for the property to be cleaned for us at that time and offered no alternative accommodation solution - so in effect we were left on our own. We had to organise our own alternative accommodation which was very difficult as it was now 22:00 on a Sunday night. We had expected the accommodation to reimburse us for the alternative accommodation we had to organise, however, after repeatedly contacting the accommodation we have received no reply and we have also not yet received our deposit. I held of on posting this review to give the accommodation an opportunity to remedy the issue but they have not done so and it has been a week now since we checked out. This is very frustrating as now we have to escalated this further in an effort to recover our deposit and the extra hotel booking we had to make as a result of the property not being ready and then no alternative accommodation being provided.
