Guest Reviews
- Valeria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Qian (10/5): Cozy house, highly recommended. - The owner is friendly and responsive. She helped me reschedule the stay. The location of the cottage is convenient to walk to Cambridge University. The bedrooms are a good size but the beds are soft. The sofa bed is spacious. The cleanliness is ok. The kitchen has everything we need. Some games and toys for children are provided. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The extractor fan in the toilet is motion detective. It starts very loud and seems to be all the time as there was always some noise which I suspected is from that fan. The electric fan in the first floor bedroom is also loud, we didn't use it much because of that.
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely cottage, kitchen had everything you could need. We loved our stay here N/a
- Yael (9/5): Lovely apartment, great location. The host is very nice -
- Toze (10/5): Gorgeous cottage and stay x - Lovely little cottage just perfect for our stay in Cambridge. 15 min walk to the centre with shops close by for essentials. Nicky was a fab host and let us extend our check out time at no further cost xx would recommend and will stay here again when we next come to Cambridge :)
- Daniel (8/5): Excellent. Will be back. - Well presented and clean. Ideal for a family. Great location. The bed/mattresses need changing as far too springy and noisy.
- Caroline (8/5): Very good -
- Lizziesp (8/5): A relaxing, convenient, and welcoming stay. - This pretty cottage is on a surprisingly quiet little street just ten minutes' walk from the historic end of central Cambridge, with its punts, colleges, shops and restaurants. The River Cam is close by and runs along Midsummer Common and Jesus Green (this is also the attractive route to walk into town). There is a fine 1920's Lido next to the river, open in summer.
But the cottage itself is in a thriving immediate area with its shops and small independent restaurants (including two Michelin starred ones; riverside pubs, an excellent wine shop with bar and outdoor food vans; Hungarian and Indian restaurants, bakeries and cafés and an Italian delicatessen with food to take away or eat in.
The cottage is comfortable, warm and well-equipped.
The owner/manager answered my messages very quickly and was very helpful and patient (!) when I locked myself out. The plug in the kitchen sink doesn't work. A washing up bowl would be a good addition.
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanya (10/5): Location is great, house very comfortable - Location is great, house very comfortable and quite all was good
- Anna (10/5): Cosy cottage in a lovely location - Very good location, beautiful street, very cute cottage Not suitable for people struggling with stairs
- Kathleen (10/5): Great location and very clean - Very good value little cottage a short walk to the centre of Cambridge. Very clean, comfortable beds with lots of pillows and clean, crisp bedding
- Henry (8/5): Very good -
- Hollie (9/5): Perfect location. Can’t wait to stay again - Perfectly situated. Everything we needed We would have loved a little plastic garden table and chairs.
- Clare (8/5): Nicky was very helpful -
- Marie (9/5): Springtime in Cambridge - This is a sweet little house in good condition. I really appreciated having a full kitchen. It was only eight minutes from my son‘s dorm by bike and I
could bike everywhere in Cambridge. Also, very close to the River Cam , some wonderful pubs, and the Midsummer Common and Jesus Green. A friend came to visit for two days, so the second bedroom was helpful. I don’t mind stairs at all, but this spot would not work for those with mobility issues. When I arrived, there were one or two issues but as soon as I reported them, Nicky came right over and fixed them. Incredibly nice person and very responsive.
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - Great location and nice refurbishments
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional -
