Guest Reviews
- Peeters (10/5): - the place was amazing and perfect host!! Recommend it to everyone nothing!!
- Wustlich (9/5): -
- Omer (6/5): Pleasant - . The apartment, the facilities and the location
The kitcken, living room and fireplace heating are very nice. The hostess was unpleasant and and invaded our privacy during our stay.
In addition, she try to charge us on broken item of the radiator heats up even though it was broken before.
Moreover, she asked to pay deposit of 1000 euro in advance directly to her bank account, and return the deposit after 10 days that was not fair.
The accomodation is nice, but her hospitality approach reduced the level of enjoyment and the price was a little bit high.
- Jason (4/5): I wish we had never stayed, we spent the whole time cleaning and stressed, unprofessional hosts - The location is convenient and the property is nicely decorated, and has lovely views of the mountains. We spent two weeks at Chalet Flocke Sternschnuppe, paying nearly EUR 10,000 plus a EUR 1,000 deposit— a deposit which was only given back two weeks after our stay ended.
The chalet itself is nicely designed, but our experience was marred by several issues and poor communication from the remote hosts:
* Locked Ski Storage – Inaccessible for the entire first week of our ski holiday.
* No Mid-Stay Housekeeping – We were asked if we would like a cleaner yet this was not organized. No fresh towels or linens were provided over two full weeks meaning we had to do our own laundry throughout our stay.
* Cleanliness Concerns – When we arrived it was clear there was a fly infestation taking place with 100s of dead flies all over the second floor (as well as 10–20 new dead flies showing up each day), the fridge smelled unhygienic with food remnants which we had to clean, and dusty surfaces that required daily vacuuming with a barely functioning vacuum. My wife even found a drawer full of women's undergarments which hadn't been removed from the premises after previous guests left. When we left the house, clothes we had unpacked into the wardrobe were covered in dust.
* Maintenance Problems – a bathroom lightbulb needed replacing, and we had to notify the owners that use of the shower head on their bathtub caused water to leak from the wall where the tap was fixed.
* Unprofessional Package Handling – Packages were opened without permission or taken away, causing long delays. Packages we were instructed to address to the hosts names, were taken back to Munich and we had to wait a full week to access them. It's illegal to open mail addressed to someone else.
* To atone for the grievances the hosts asked us for our bank details so they could refund us some money, they offered us €100.
Instead of a relaxing holiday the experience was stressful.
- Y (10/5): Our stay at Chalet Flocke was incredible! - The location is perfect - just a quick 3-minute drive or bus ride from the main Galzigbahn lift and town center, with a bus stop conveniently close by. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, offering stunning views of the Alps from every window and terrace (and each bedroom and the living room have their own terraces!).
Recently renovated, the chalet features brand new interiors that are remarkably spacious – even more so than we anticipated. The interior design masterfully blends modern and rustic elements, creating a warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home from the moment we stepped inside. The fast internet connection throughout the apartment was a big plus for us.
The chalet exceeded our expectations with its impressive amenities. The well-equipped kitchen includes a professional coffee machine & coffee grinder, and the living room with its fireplace was the perfect spot to relax after a day on the slopes. We also enjoyed the amazing Finnish Sauna (it's shared with one more apartment, but we never saw any other guests there). The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The huge ski room provided ample space for all our gear, and the boot dryer was perfect.
Words cannot express our gratitude towards our hosts, Karin and Klaus. They went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional stay, always responding promptly to our questions and inquiries with politeness and a genuine desire to help. Their warm hospitality truly made us feel at home.
In summary, Chalet Flocke absolutely wowed us with its stunning interior design, spaciousness, top-notch amenities, and incredibly dedicated hosts. Our stay was truly unforgettable! We wholeheartedly recommend this property to everyone and eagerly await our return. Karin and Klaus, thank you for such a special experience!
