- Merilyn (10/5): Excellent service warm, welcoming and nothing too much trouble. - Everything Sally was an exceptional host and nothing was too much from booking a taxi to sending forgotten items next day delivery. Sally and her team were friendly, welcoming and interested. All our breakfasts were delicious, Our twin room was comfortable, clean and cosy. The bathroom had a lovely rain shower and fresh towels were always available as was tea/coffee facilities. It has free excellent WIFI and car parking. In the old Bryn Seion Chapel which has lots of history. Also very close to the Pontcysyllte Viaduct and 10 mls from Llangollen Heritage Railway. The Telford Inn is across the road. Oh!! and the cakes are so............ delicious Nothing.
- Kevin (8/5): Unique accomodation, great location. Needs more info and outside lighting. - Once we entered the property (see below) the staff/owner in the evening were very friendly and helpful. At breakfast during our stay the staff were also very helpfull and friendly. The breakfast was beautiful and varied, wioth plenty of tea and coffee available.
The layout of the property was lovely and very unique which made for stand out surroundings during breakfast. Before walkers and customers for the tea rooms themselves arrived, for the first few hours in the mornings it was like our family had their own private staffed Air BnB, making this stay very unique as we appeared to be the only guests during our stay. We didn't get any indication from our booking confirmation that check in would be any different to that of a standard hotel. Though our late check in was approved when we arrived there was nobody to greet us. Luckily my parents were travelling over also and had arrived much ealier that afternoon - gaining access to the property. They had arrived to no one also but had rung the proprietor (who it turned out was across the road). Very confusing and not a good start.
Also we discoverd (after returning from the wedding we were all there to attend) that the carpark, after dark, was virtually pitch black with little to no street lighting once we disembarked from our vehicle. It was particularly challenging for my father who was wearing a protective boot and walking with a stick at the time.
- Janice (9/5): - Location close to the aquaculture and a pub across the street.
- Penny (8/5): - Right on the Offas Dyke path, which was a perfect stopping point for our hike. Really friendly staff. Great shower. There was glitter in my bed which made me wonder if the sheets had been changed.
- James (5/5): Not good value for money - Good location for the Offa’s Dyke path and aqueduct. Very clean Few amenities - no shower gel/shampoo in the bathroom when paying £150/night isn’t great. Also the shower couldn’t attach to the wall so only had a bath to use.
No wet floor signs up. Fell over in the main cafe after slipping. Large bruise to show for it.
- Susan (10/5): Quiet, unique stay in a beautiful area in Wales - Proximity to the aqueduct and hiking trails was excellent and breakfast was delicious. A tiny comment - Fuller/fluffier pillows would have been appreciated.

- Martin (9/5): An excellent base for us as we were attending a wedding at a local venue. The closeness of the canal - Breakfast excellent, location excellent We were disappointed in the bathroom as the showerhead was not attached to the wall which made it difficult to shower properly. Therefore, my husband decided to have a bath but slipped in the bath when trying to get out. The owner was informed as rather a lot of water sloshed onto the floor. Also, personally, I found the lack of shelves or something to put bathing products, make up etc onto rather frustrating.

- john (9/5): Warm host, unique setting, legendary breakfast! - Welcoming host (Sally). Room perfect. Atmospheric location brilliantly restored. I will remember playing the piano in the evening in this cavernous converted chapel with my wife the only audience!

It's really close to the aqueduct which was my main reason for visiting, therefore the perfect location for me.
The room was big and spotlessly clean.
Great bathroom with a bath and a shower and all toiletries provided.

- Jane (10/5): Very cosy, clean room with everything I needed and right on Offa's Dyke Path - Very cosy, clean room with everything I needed and right on Offa's Dyke Path. Very tasty breakfast. Owner Sally very kind and welcoming and staff friendly - lovely atmosphere. There was nothing I didn't like
- Christine (10/5): A slice of perfection in Trefor - We were attending a wedding at Tower Hill Barns & the tearooms are literally a 9 minute walk away. We dropped our cases off (they kindly allowed us to check in early), and then drove to the venue and left our car there overnight to collect in the am. I suggest doing it that way otherwise you're walking up a steep hill in heels and dressed up to the nines!.
There is nothing bad to say about this place. Seriously, I'm super fussy & it's perfect. We had a twin room on the ground floor, which I would request again. It was cool, which was perfect with the heat we are having right now. Double shower, fluffy bath matt, lovely towels & loads of toilet roll. Tea, coffee, biscuits, great tv, plenty of space for your bags. Staff were all wonderful and very helpful with everything. Key for your room, code to get in & out of the property after hours. You also get a mobile number to ring/ text out of hours. A novelty item is a booklet with the local takeaways details in it, alongside details of the location . So, location, location, location!!! As I said, it's so close to Tower Hill Barns, but 5 miles the other way is the viaduct! Just google and see how stunning this place is. I'm seriously just considering booking for a couple of nights for a chill.
Oh, breakfast - stunning. We had a full welsh breakfast but just couldn't finish it. It was so large and divine & they cater for all dietary requirements too.
Book here. You won't be disappointed. Nothing
- McAllister-Bell (10/5): Stayed for a near by wedding. The host was very friendly. The the room was e - The Breakfast was excellent- really great breakfast that set us up for the day. Cooked to perfection
- ProfWilliam (10/5): One of the very best of the best. - Nothing to report. Outstanding stay in room 1. Right next door to the World Heritage Site, that is The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, it could not be a better location. The room was immaculately clean, the service was exceptional, and the whole experience was outstanding.
- Tania (10/5): Beautiful property, tea rooms are lovely with fabulous food and staff, on site parking & our room was great. - 10 out of ten for this find. We’d booked as we were attending a wedding at Tower Barns which was a 2 minute drive away or a 10 minute walk.
We had a lovely welcome, breakfast was yummy. Definitely worth a stop off if you’re passing. Nothing
- Barry (10/5): - Clean
Comfy bed
Nice breakfast
Nice location Maybe a mini fridge in room for fresh milk
- Donna (10/5): Perfect location for aqueduct - I suffer from a bad back, so beds can be an issue, but the bed(s)in the twin room was perfect for me.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice short walk to the aqueduct. There's nothing not to like.
- Vicki (8/5): Charming - Pontcysyllte Chapel Tearoom is a lovely place and in a really good location. Very handy to Llangollen and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
Sally was a welcoming and helpful host. The room was a good size, and the bed was comfy.
Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was delicious. Beautiful fresh fruit yoghurt and cereal, and a hot cooked breakfast cooked to order. A lovely stay. We found the shower a bit tricky, but apart from that, it was all lovely.

- Roderick (10/5): Beautiful place in a beautiful setting - The location was near Tower Hill Barns, where we were attending a wedding. We requested a midday check in, which the accommodated. The room was lovely & suited our needs perfectly. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious with local produce used. Access to the room at night was an entrance at the side of the Tearooms & was easy to access. overall we had a wonderful stay, thank you. The only thing we found was that although the bath had a shower head (mixer through the bath taps), there was no holder on the wall so we weren't able to have a shower the next day. This was a minor thing really.
- melanie (9/5): Great experience from booking to checking out - Location was fab, bed comfy, shower hot and breakfast mighty. Nothing
