- yasmin (8/5): Excellent location - can't wait to go again - Brilliant location and perfect for our needs. Host was great at accommodating our needs Nothing!
- Angus (6/5): Perfect location for the rugby. - An excellent location for the rugby, a lovely host. The facilities were basic as was the cleanliness.
- Alexander (10/5): Excellent - Perfect location, free parking
- Teresa (4/5): - Host disponibile La casa necessita di una pulizia più approfondita
- Azeem (8/5): -
- Peter (2/5): Very disappointed and would have moved if the location had not been next to our daughter. - Location was good because it was near our daughter but quite a long way away from the high street and any convinces/food stores/bus stops etc. Apartment was NOT clean. Had not been swept out or vacuumed.
Lack of coat hangers
No coffee mugs/tea cups or teaspoons. Only one table spoon.
No dish wash liquid. No dish towels.
Kettle was old and scaly.
No information on how to control the heater. No general information.
- Valerie (2/5): - Flexible check-in time, nearish to stadium Host only replied to questions on the day of stay, very dirty, bed had been changed but no cleaning had taken place in months. Would not stay again.
- Narree (2/5): - Close to twickenham stadium The studio was dirty, rubbish from previous guest in drawers & in bins. Floors were not vaccumed & bathroom hadn't bin hygienically cleaned. ( mould & grime in shower & toothpaste on the basin mixer) Milk for tea was out of date. No coffee provided.
The host was very helpful & sorted our luggage for us prior to checkin.

- Michael (9/5): Gods gift to me just when i needed it. - Lucy was freindly kind and flexible offering any help needed.
The apartment was clean spacious, with all that was needed functionaly, and in a position a close walk to rail bus shops and all i needed.
The bed was so so comfortable.
Shower also good pressure and heat.
Very Good value for money. A tv would have been the jewel in the crown.
- Keith (1/5): We didn’t stay, we left and booked in the Premier Inn at the Winning Post - Absolutely nothing. It was dirty, unhygienic and insecure as the door would not lock from the outside. The bedding was stained and damaged, the fridge was dirty inside with bits of waste in it, there was a dirty, old dishcloth for washing dishes, the shower was dirty, there was a window without blinds or curtains and the door didn’t lock so our belongings were not secure. Booking.com you need to remove this property from your website as the woman who owns it is taking money from people without providing a service. It’s wrong and we are waiting for a full refund.
- Jonathan Prettejohns (1/5): *******Do not book unless major changes***** - BOOKING.COM have been advised to remove this property before but I could not access reviews....it was not fit for either purpose nor habitation....the sheets were stained and bed slept in,floors filthy, garden and lodge nothing like images....I had to leave it and did so within an hour...I had to pay out extra for a short notice hotel nearbye and will seek my original costs and the difference given this should not be on booking.com Absolute disgrace sorry if offends but it made me feel sick and stressed given I had a wedding on Saturday....thank goodness I found another but had to pay a premium...await customer services to contact me.
- teresa (1/5): Dirty - I liked nothing The dirt, the hair on the floor, the smelly bedding, the dirty cloth to wash dishes, the dirty cutlery, the dirty floor, the fact the owner and her family looked in to the accommodation, no privacy. Also no support from booking.com despite me contacting customer support, this place should be assessed by booking.com as soon as possible, I didn't stay for the full period, I just couldn't it was that bad.

- Michelle (1/5): Avoid like the plague!!! - This accommodation is not fit for purpose. The walk up to the property was just awful. I had chosen this place as it was close to the town centre for my daughters graduation. Unfortunately after looking at tonnes of places to stay i must have over looked these reviews. On arrival the host was extremely drunk could hardly string 2 sentences together. (I had arranged a late arrival for 8pm) The drive had an old double bed base thrown out and all the wheelie bins scattered around alongwith other bits of rubbish all over. It wasn't suitable to wheel a large case into the back garden. All the doors on the garden room were open and it still smelt really bad. The garden was overgrown and nothing like the pictures. Avoid this place like the plague the host was an absolute nightmare to get a refund. We turned back round and booked 2 nights for £252 in the local Travelodge. Booking.com you should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing someone that is not capable of hosting advertise under your name. This was £162 for 2 nights. I will never use booking.com again for this reason!! Everything but moreso the fact the host was incapable but still happy to take the money from hard working people and refused a refund....sadly she has a lot of problems but that is no excuse to take from others. It is up to her how she lives her life but affecting other people's special occasions is not acceptable. I wanted my daughters graduation to be so special but instead we were both left in tears. She did refund but that was after she had already refused. I do hope other people do not go through this upset after reading this review.
- Amanda (1/5): Needs removing from the website, and performing a deep clean before it is rented out again! Unhygienic, through and thro - Nothing On approach to the property, I was confused by the location? I rang the doorbell to a house that looked like it was vacant? After a couple of minutes, Lucy answered the door, and her communication was blank? I introduced myself, and asked if I was in the right place? She appeared confused, so I asked if this was 60 Gladstone Avenue, and she said yes.
I explained we had a booking? Maybe she had just woken up?
She showed me to the property that was up the side of the house. I was immediately put off; the rubbish and mess wasn’t inviting.
My husband had joined me by this time with our luggage, and his face spoke volumes. The cabin at the bottom of the garden looked pleasant from the outside, although the garden was unkempt and disheveled, with an empty, dirty paddling pool outside the patio doors.
Lucy showed us the room, and after she had left, I did my checks.
First the bathroom - oh my good god; the shower was most filthy! Dirty Soap scum around the drainage, soap scum up the shower doors from the previous patron, hair, lots of hair everywhere, faeces and urine in and around the toilet bowl, toothpaste in the basin; it was shocking!
The floor clearly hadn’t been cleaned in months! Hair, and debris - extremely unhygienic!
Next the bedroom/kitchenette
A single duvet in a double case, lumpy, and appeared to have been thrown in? A single bed spread, under a double bed spread. The pillows were odd blues, with a green, un-ironed duvet cover! The sheet was grey, and stained with goodness knows what on it?
One pillow was very badly stained from sweat and dribble, from many, previous patron’s.
The cutlery was stained, and the drawer it was in was dirty, food crumbs from the previous patron in the microwave, and on the work surface; it was inexcusable.
My husband immediately started looking for an alternative accommodation, whilst I found a cloth and bleach to clean the bathroom.
- Susan (2/5): ie unswept and dirty floor and surfaces - Good shower and plenty hot water. Building was good Poor approach on very uneven drive impeding by bins . Lack of seating and eating space inside and poorly equipped- ie almost no cutlery and limited crockery. Not clean and clothing left from previous renters.
- Siv (3/5): Disappointing - Location and the actual cabin Small duvet in double duvet cover
Only one spoon, fork and knife
Toilet roll had couple of sheets left - no spare
No washing up liquid or tea towel
Key didn't work
- Chris (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jenni (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wylson (9/5): Superb -
- Justin (10/5): Relaxing stay, thank you ☺️ - Peaceful location. Lovely host 🙂 Easy 10-15 min walk for anyone going to Twickenham stadium. Also good for Heathrow 👍 Everything good.
- Kris (4/5): Disappointing -
- Philip (2/5): Extremely disappointing. I probably will not be using your site again. - Nothing The bedroom and bathroom were ill maintained and grubby of the five windows only three had blinds and those blinds were either broken or had to roll up by hand. There was no heating when I left in the morning my car temperature was zero so very cold night. By far the worse was the inability to lock the entry door as the lock itself was broken.
- Isabella (9/5): Superb -
- Stevewhite197 (9/5): Superb - Great place to stay for events in and around Twickenham. Lucy was responsive, helpful and provided good Comms. Would recommend
- Gary (1/5): Shit hole and uncared property - Location Very Dirty, bed hard, awful cleanliness
Milk out of date. Jams mouldy
- Togneri (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (1/5): Awful - Nothing The bungalow that the cabin is behind looks dilapidated, and the path to the garden where the cabin is situated was full of rubbish. The garden is unkempt and really doesn't look like the pictures.
The door didn't lock. There weren't blinds at every window, and the ones that were there were broken. The bedding was mismatched old and stained. The duvet cover was way too big for the duvet. The bowl containing the coffee and sugar was dirty. The entire apartment was dirty, lumps of hair and dust on the bathroom floor, rubbish in the bathroom bin and very obvious that the sink hadn't been cleaned. This amount of grime gathers over time, so I have no idea how others have said it was clean!
- Maureen (3/5): Disappointed - Position Chilly especially bathroom . Very basic tea & coffee available . No shower mat for the floor. Broken blind & some windows no blinds. No radio or tv . No WiFi.Basic bedding nothing matched , all very well used . Won’t use this accommodation again . With a little more thought it could be really cosy .
- Rabir (7/5): Great price for a comfy ensuite! - Comfy bed, great facilities like refrigerator, microwave and kettle. Host was greatly flexible and understanding and even allowed us to extend our checkout time! - dusty and unclean surfaces/floor especially in the bathroom
- loads of spiders and spider webs
- little to no privacy - blinds only on half of the windows
- Robin (6/5): Very convenient and good price for location - Great location with parking , the host was helpful and nice Could do with a spruce up !
- Malcolm (3/5): Wouldn’t stay again - Not much, the water was hot for a shower. Very basic , wasn’t much care given to the room.
Bed was ok but room very dirty.
security was poor as the front door wouldn’t close properly and the key wouldn’t work in the lock.
The host disturbed us at night and asked if we were staying the night which was really strange and unnerving.
- Matt (5/5): Great for what I needed it for, but didn’t feel clean.. - Great location for what I needed it for… Property needed a good clean and some TLC…
- Nicos (1/5): Dirty. Never going back again. - The location was good an as a room it’s ok I didn’t like that the beds sheets were not clean and changed. I found hair in the bed sheets from previous people. The floors were not cleaned hair everywhere. The bathroom and shower was full of hair unexpected . Never going back again. Not worth the money we spent on this room.
- Andrew (8/5): Great location for an overnight stay within easy reach of rugby stadiums. - Location. One window didn’t have a blind or curtain .
- Garrick (8/5): We had great weather & we’re out each day. It was an easy walk to transport and after busy days it was nice to crash - Reasonably close to bus stops & Whitton Station in a quiet street. The bed was very comfortable We couldn’t actually lock it but the location was safe.
- Gemma (9/5): Ignore the petty reviews and use this place for your base. - Ignore all the negative reviews!
We stayed at Gladstone on a rugby weekend, Lucy was lovely, greeted us as we walked in and answered any questions I had prior to arrival.
She allowed us to park on the drive before the game and left us be when we were at the property.
The property itself was great! Spacious and had everything we personally needed for our stay!
The bed wasn’t broken. The place was clean. The shower was good. All the front windows have blinds, the two on the end have cords. The one on the door is like a pull and release and yes admittedly the other one has a tie round it but we just untied it and guided it to the floor then rolled it by hand the following morning. No biggy!
If we were to be really picky we would maybe request a little more loo roll is left but maybe two women use more than usual 😂 I tried to log into the WiFi but it said that the password was wrong so gave up. Most likely user error than anything else.
Only thing I would note was the drive was tight. I had a standard hatchback and it was a little squeeze. But other than that mentioned we would 100% stay again. Nothing, like mentioned tiny things like a little more loo roll and maybe a couple of glasses for drinks. But we just used the mugs that were provided.
- Alison (6/5): Poor communucations and poor consideration. I may have not wanted to stay when host had covid - There were empty containers left from previous jam butter usage by previous people as well as full ones Communicatikns were poor. Host said she had covid.
Fair enough but surely shpukd have given me option to cancel
Only found this out when compalined that i couldnt confirm where to leave my car( so i dared not)
She didnt answer my txt or calls
- Harry (7/5): All good - Price and convenience Hot, needs a fan in summer
- Nigel (8/5): Very good -
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional - Lucy went out of her way to make us feel welcome and when we got back from the rugby we spent a couple of hours chatting which was great The bed needs the base sorted
- Cox (7/5): Good -
- Rosalind (8/5): New bed needed - The location to Twickenham Stadium is great. The place we stayed in was warm so we didn't need the heating on. There is a fridge, which wasn't turned on so we had to. There was also a kettle, toaster and microwave. The host, Lucy left us a couple of croissants which was a lovely touch. It's advertised with free parking. We noticed all the cars parked on the street had permits. As it was rugby weekend, my husband asked Lucy about this and she said to park on the driveway which was very tight. It also advertised free WiFi. We could not get any WiFi at all, the booster wasn't strong enough. There was no TV. I get its only a small place but could easily hold a TV. The biggest part we didn't like was the bed. We had two of the worst nights sleep ever. I just wish we had read the previous reviews as they mentioned the broken bed and that the host knew about it but failed to fix it. Shame, as we would have booked there again next year
- Maxine (4/5): Disappointing and not value for money -
- Matthew (10/5): Perfect weekend in Twickenham - Comfy bed, beautiful garden, great location for attending an event at Twickenham and Lucy was a lovely host 😊
- Connie (8/5): Very good -
- Rob (9/5): Superb - Nice place, very friendly and helpful owner Lucy. Highly recommended 🙏
- Michael (9/5): A great cosy space with all you will need to use as a base for exploring! - Cosy space with all you will need to use as a base for exploring. A great little kitchenette, complete with kettle (with teabags, coffee, milks and sugar), a microwave, fridge and sink. Great en-suite - shower, wash basin and loo. Added bonus of some croissants with some delicious jams. Lucy was a great host! N/A
- Sue (8/5): Host goes above and beyond - The host went above and beyond leaving sandwiches and snacks in the pod for my husband who was booked in here while working away. He appreciated the privacy of the pod much more than a hotel room.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - The host was lovely, really helpful and on hand if we wanted anything. Location is amazing for the Twickenham stadium which we we visiting and for the town centre.
- Stephen (7/5): Great rugby location - Host was very amicable
Comfortable bed, good en suite
Good shower(wee leak, no problem) Local fauna a bit scratchy, outside
Access could be a bit easier
- Glynn (9/5): Really nice host , we got a parking ticket due to not filling out the permit properly and our host offered to share the -
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - Lucy was very welcoming even made us chocolate croissants. 🥰
It was great for what we needed, one night to attend a friend's birthday party.
- Pauline (7/5): Ideal location for an overnight stay after watching the rugby. -
- May (9/5): Superb - The accommodation was in a nice residential area and suited my needs. Nearest train station was a 10 minute walk and the host was exceptionally helpful. It was exactly as described and it was nice and cosy. Everything was good.
- Otar (3/5): Low hospitality culture, broken bed - Newly built, warm in winter, good bathroom - very low hospitality culture, the hostess is reluctant to solve problems
- the bed frame is broken, needs to be thrown away: the desks under the mattress are broken and give no support, feels like sleeping in a hammock. When we asked the hostess to fix the bed, she said "it's not my f....g problem". Later denied saying that. Only when we insisted, she sent her sons to (somehow) fix the bed. Never came to see the problem herself. Had to sleep on this bed for 2 days, gave me back pain.
- when we moved in there was dust, empty plastic bottle, pieces of paper and spiderwebs underneath the kitchen tables
- the wall facing the main house is all glass. Living like in an aquarium, very little privacy. The hostess covered her wall with a folding screen, instead of offering it to us
- we didn't have wifi for 2 days
- the yellow towels smell damp
- never apologised for all the inconvenience, denied being rude to us, gave us a passive-aggressive treatment
- Sally (8/5): Lovely garden room, great host and if you’re heading to a match you’re in the right place! - We weren’t expecting breakfast so that was a lovely surprise. Nothing we didn’t like. Bed a little soft for our personal taste but that’s just us …. It didn’t stop us having a good night’s sleep.
- Charles (10/5): Cutie corner - Quiet lovely cosy and cutie Weakness on the right side of the bed which can be addressed very easily.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Good location in quiet road. Smart accommodation with everything needed to make for a comfortable stay. Easy access without any fuss. Welcoming host.
