• Bhaveshree (8/5): Perfect countryside get away - We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage in Sires Hill. The location was one of the biggest highlights — perfectly placed for long countryside walks and scenic hikes. With footpaths right on the doorstep, it was easy to explore the rolling Oxfordshire landscape. The cottage itself felt peaceful and tucked away, giving us that proper countryside escape we were looking for. The facilities in the cottage, the host Nigel has definitely thought of everything for his guests above and beyond expectations. Would recommend, was a good find. If I had to mention one small improvement, it would be the mattress. It was softer than I’m used to, and a medium‑firm option would have made the stay even more comfortable.
• Caroline (10/5): Delightful cottage. - This is a delightful cottage in a very quiet location with all the amenities you could possibly need and easy parking. The host Nigel is friendly and is keen to make sure your stay goes well. The cottage is extremely comfortable and we had lots of goodies left for us which was much appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the cottage which is perfectly situated for Oxford and Didcot. Nothing.

• Steve (10/5): Steve in Wallingford - Very clear instructions on access an owner who could not be more helpful, meticulous presentation, attention to details, generous 'goodies' supplied in the kitchen, and parking by the front door. We have been travelling in the UK for 6 weeks and this property was a hands down winner by a country mile. Nothing to say here.
• Patrick (10/5): Fabulous country cottage! - Host was very generous with welcome extras. We loved the beautiful courtyard with lovely flowers. Peaceful, quiet location, although very handy for Oxford and surrounding villages. Impressed with level of commitment to the environment. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and all amenities you would need. Nothing.
• Karen (10/5): - The cottage is beautiful with flower baskets and herb pots in the courtyard and lights that came on at night. Nigel the host was very accomodating and made an allowance for a later check out. I would totally recommend this cottage, great find!

• Grant (9/5): Delightful place to use as a base for exploring the local area. - Property was extremely well equipped and presented. Complimentary wine and fresh fruit and kitchen was stocked with all essentials. Sitting room was comfortable as was bedroom. Rural quiet location. Stools for the breakfast bar were uncomfortable. WC was in a weird location off the utility room. No amenities walkable, so car needed to get to pubs/restaurants etc.

• Janet (10/5): Absolutely brilliant we would love to stayat the cottage again. Everything was perfectly clean, - Absolutely everything. The cottage was very very clean. Nigel left us all sorts of goodies, including wine, beer breakfast, cereal cake, biscuits and fruit. The cottage was very quiet, surrounded by lovely garden. We couldn’t get the coffee machine to work, but I think it was us not the coffee machine

Kitchen cupboards and fridge was surprisingly well stocked. Well presented and clean, would definitely come back if in the area. Nothing :)

The cottage was set in peaceful grounds, has everything you need and more. So comfortable, cosy and extremely clean, with the added bonus of a private courtyard to use. • Cath (10/5): Exceptional - We had a great stay. A really lovely, very well equipped self catering cottage. Nigel was friendly and helpful, the area is lovely and quiet. We wouldn't hesitate to return and would highly recommend it. Hard to think of anything, other than we struggled slightly with the oven (perhaps down to our age...)but it was great once we got the hang of it. It certainly won't put us off returning in the near future.

• Rina (10/5): Absolutely amazing - Property was amazing with everything you could need in the living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and it was spotless clean. The outdoor space was truly breathtaking as it is attached to woods and nature with countryside views. The cottage itself was so cosy, we spent time in the evenings in the lovely living room and watched Netflix on the smart tv till late. There are spectacular countryside walks within close distance. The host Nigel was very friendly and was available to take any questions we had. We will definitely love to return for a longer period of time.

Bed was very comfortable. Lots of little extras provided which were very much appreciated. Nigel was on hand if we needed anything but everything was so well thought through it was like home from home rather than a holiday cottage. Everything was great

• Linda (10/5): A Home from Home in Rural Oxfordshire. - A spacious home from home property. Lots of little extras that made our stay all the more relaxing. Set in woodland in an area of outstanding natural beauty and with its own courtyard to sit out in the evenings. Lovely walks and plenty to do in the area. We liked it all.
• David (10/5): Lovely, quiet, well provided for retreat to relax and enjoy the area. - This is just the place to relax and enjoy without being too far from all the facilities of local towns and the countryside. The cottage was presented to a very high standard and there were many thoughtful extras such as milk, snacks and different drinks. You are very well centred for exploring the area or just being able to relax in a quiet rural retreat!
