Guest Reviews
- Emma (7/5): Stayed for a night, it was alright, but wouldn’t book again. - Location is perfect for anyone wishing to take in the countryside and close to Harrogate for shopping and entertainment. The rooms are very basic and quite noisy. I could hear people talking, walking up and down the stairs and doors banging shut. Was disturbing when trying to sleep for an early rise.
- Marcia (6/5): nice, comfy room, but way too overpriced for what it is - The room was comfy and clean The building was empty and felt abandoned, plus it was not worth the price at all, it felt more like a hostel.
- Susan (9/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a lovely place,in a gorgeous location,surrounded by beautiful countryside.
The bed was a little hard and there was only one bath towel in the bathroom.
The kitchen needed a deep clean, inside cupboards, floor, fridge etc.On the surface it looked clean, but due to it being a communal kitchen, they really need to be deep cleaning at least monthly.
Lounge area well decorated.
It would be nice to visit here as a larger group,as communal areas are good, large dinning table, comfort sofas in lounge area.
Would visit again.
- Antaro O (6/5): Great communal area but our bedroom was very small. Good for a party of friends to be together... - The communal kitchen & living area are amazing. We booked a double bed bedroom but the bed we got was (at best) what we would consider a large single (1.2m wide!) and the room was VERY small. It is a great place for a few friends/family to book together and enjoy an evening in the very comfortable & welcoming lounge. The size of the bed & bedroom.
- Elena (9/5): Superb -
- Farrar (9/5): Superb - The room itself was compact but all facilities provided were good. The accommodation was well designed in offering a nicely appointed share lounge and kitchen. We had a car so the quiet location suited us, with double glazing making traffic noise inaudible.
- Mationesa (4/5): Disappointing - It was ok for one person No blankets fir extra and we didn't meet the staff
- Mationesa (5/5): Passable - It was clean and warm The towels were old and no enough blankets and the room too small
- Jenny (9/5): Excellent and great to have that full kitchen - Parking seemed a bit random cos of other business apparently at same site
- John (10/5): Great find with kitchen plus lounge/diner - This was a Wonderful place to stay. Just 6 miles from Harrogate and the conference centre. The bedroom with shower and toilet TV and WiFi fine. Downstairs a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and lounge area so I could have cooked anything I had brought. Really good value.
- Geoff (8/5): Excellent stay. - Very impressed with my visit to Bramall house. A minor problem on arrival was quickly and efficently resolved. The place was clean and tidy and i spent a very satisfying and relaxing night there. Will certainly visit Bramall House again.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maskell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colin (4/5): A significant lack of room facilities. - Overall, the room was adequate although very small. The en-suite and facilities were clean and comfortable. There were no refreshment facilities in the room, only a communal kitchen on the ground flour without drink supplies. The room also suffered a lack of electrical outlets. Only two were found with already a TV and small (empty) 'fridge plugged in.
- Jo (8/5): - This property has excellent facilities for self catering, and is clean, & spacious.
However the heating was an issue. Over a three night stay it finally worked on the last night.
- Patrick (7/5): Accommodation serves its purpose - It’s quite nice , all needs catered for and the pub was nice and food is good Mattress to soft for me but not a bad point as others may like.
Main bad point room was entered and then Owner asked who I was , so I got my text message and booking to prove I was in correct room he was apologetic and no offence taken , but I’d driven over 300 miles and had a long day didn’t like the interruption.
So it put a dampener on my stay.
- Chloe (2/5): - Just don’t go here.
- Amy (9/5): Lovely, would recommend - Lovely accommodation, no complaints The front door was a little hard to open by key
- Marion (9/5): Excellent stay, superbly equipped, and incredible value for money in the area - The place was immaculately clean, and the kitchen was like it had just been fitted. The smart TV had more channels than at home and although it is on a busy main road, the triple glazing cut out all of the noise Parking was a bit confusing. The car park is shared with a spa and looked like it only had one available space for the lodge. As it was saturday night and sunday morning, i parked where i could
- John (7/5): Good -
- Alison (2/5): Very noisy - It was clean, nice bathroom. Location was good for our visit. The room was very, very noisy, it was at the front of the property and we could not sleep due to the noise from the road. It was like sleeping on a motorway.
The bed was very small for a double more like a three quarter bed.
- Christine (9/5): Superb - Facilities were really wonderful Really uncomfortable bed & loose bed head in room 8 so disturbed sleep
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Lynne (9/5): Lovely accommodation within a lovely setting - Beautiful location, lovely and clean accommodation. Free parking. Well equipped rooms. Plenty of storage. Desk and Fridge. Lovely lounge and kitchen downstairs. Triple glazed windows as accommodation is just set back off a busy road. Discounted breakfast at the Queens Heads. Home made, local food - sausages were delicious. Nothing.
- Barbara (7/5): Good - Finding the property..the address needs to state that it is on the A59
- John (7/5): Comfortable albeit basic. - Clean, tidy, excellent for a day visit. A rural location with a gem of a pub at least half a mile away owned by the same people. Basic room and facilities. No tea facilities so I mean basic.
- Trevor (8/5): Very good -
- John (5/5): I was the only guest! - Parking Unmanned; Led in bathroom not working; the drain on the shower tray was slow to clear, no shower mat provided only one pillow provided!
- Philip (8/5): Fine and practical - Size of room
- Bev (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (7/5): Good -
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bernard (7/5): Good -
- Eugene (8/5): Will definitely be staying here again! - I know this is a cliche, but Glen and Louise could not have looked after us better. They were incredibly helpful in making sure our EV got a charge; fitted us in for breakfast after we'd forgotten to book, etc. Gold standard. Double bed was a bit on the small side, but not a big deal.
- Christos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (9/5): Brilliant for the price - The location was excellent and the accommodation was amazing for the price The only thing was I could hear other guests tv over the one in my room.
- Jaye (10/5): Hidden little gem - The location is perfect for us to visit family, being on the a59 the property is easy to fjnd My only minor problem is ni tea tray jn the room, though the communal kitchen has everything you need
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (10/5): Amazing in every way. 1000 STARS! - Everything about this place is amazing and well thought out. There's a guide in the room to help with taxi's and other numbers, anything you may need. Location is spot on, clean, modern... fantastic! 1000 stars if I could put them
- Jane (10/5): Excellent property in a great rural location - Wonderful property for self catering in a great location. The Queens Head pub is located close by which does excellent meals and also owned by the same proprietor. Lovely, modern property and very clean and well furnished. Perfect for solo travellers or groups. Might be nice to have a kettle but otherwise everything was perfect.
- Jaye (10/5): Lovely place to stay - The bed was clean and fresh, the room was clean, though there were 2 dead flies on the window by the bathroom, the massive telly easy to watch from the bed
- David (10/5): very clean, very well maintained and very comfortable - we think that tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been beneficial rather than when you come out of the shower having to go downstairs to make a brew.
- Catherine (10/5): A beautiful location with very well appointed facilities - A beautiful location with a very well appointed bedroom/ en-suite. The kitchen facilities were exceptional. We didn’t have time to explore locally.,
The check in was very easy The crockery was minimal.
But a small point in an exceptional stay
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Jaye (10/5): Bramhall stay - Location was perfect, room very spacious, welcom folder had everything and more Though there was tea/coffee/milk in the communal kitchen, (which had everything and was spotless) I'd of liked a tea tray in the room, I don't fancy going into a kitchen in pj's when other guest could be there, couple more pillows
- Sean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (10/5): Perfect accommodation in a great location - Excellent accommodation. Spotlessly clean and my double room was to a really high standard.
I loved the communal lounge and spacious kitchen area which included utensils, pots and pans etc. and there was also tea, coffee and milk available which was an added bonus.
The owner made sure there was plenty of information available and he was on hand if needed close by at the Queens Head Pub.
I will definitely return again..
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Angermuller (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monika (9/5): Very comfortable to stay, despite being on the road, it was very quiet with triple glazing. All facilities in the kitche - Very comfortable beds. All rooms had keys left in them, so based on trust that one stayed in the room that was allocated to them.
I had 2 long hair of 5 cm on my pillow, so I used the other one and I hope nobody slept in my bed before me… but bed was very comfortable. I gave one pint less for that and would ask property to look into.
- Derek (9/5): Superb -
- Lynn (9/5): Really lovely place to stay. Good location for walks too. - Access to a full kitchen.
En-suite.
Mini fridge in your room Couldn’t plug the desk lamp in.
- Ellie (8/5): Very good -
- Alexander (6/5): Adequate for one night stay if travelling through. - Small bed, green centre ceiling light.
- Setterfield (10/5): Exceptional - Just magnificent, thank you and well done Glen. Nothing
- Lois (8/5): Very good - Fresh and newly decorated. Very clean. Having to go downstairs to kitchen to have a cup of tea as no kettle in the room. Used the microwave in the bedroom to boil water for a cup of tea.
I was not sure about the use of the kitchen whether i was allowed to use it for preparing a breakfast; as only staying a night, or whether it was for people staying for a week, like self catering.
- Robin (7/5): Very good location and clean and comfortable facilities. - Very good location. Facilities were good and the bed was comfortable. I found the place very poorly sign posted. Staff were good, but virtual. I cut my head open on a low beam in the stairwell when leaving, which I don't think was warned about....and I'm only 5'10"!
- Lesley (10/5): Room comfortable, bed lovely, other issues all ready noted - Breakfast fine. The location was ok but hard to find as signage poor especially at night. We found the room a bit noisy with traffic. Next time we would prefer a room away from the road.
- Webster (10/5): Fresh, clean & Beautiful stay - Set in a gorgeous location within wildlife I felt instantly at ease. Then met with the host who was very friendly and open. I stayed in the cottage apartment - I was astounded by the beautiful decor, art work on the walls - it was lovely fresh and clean. I felt right at home. I would definitely stay here again. There was nothing that I didn't like.
- Richard (8/5): Good for a short stay close to beautiful Fewston reservoir and quite convenient for Harrogate. - Easy to park. Helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable "White" room. Desk for laptop use. Good wifi Unpleasant bright green "nightlight" which could not be switched off in the middle of the ceiling.
- Caleb (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Brilliant clean comfortable stay - The location of this accommodation is brilliant and the communal area and kitchen are fantastic.
I nice little gem on the outskirts of Harrogate and just a short walk to the nearest pub.
The host Glen could not have done more for us from giving us a lift when we required to putting on breakfast at the Queens head pub
This is a brilliant place to stay if you don’t want to be in the centre of Harrogate and like the peace and quiet
Would stay again no problem
- Gary (8/5): Very good - Lovely location, room was pleasant When the main light was turned off, a green light remained on all night
- Byron (10/5): Excellent value for the price, and the Queen’s Head Pub down the road is a real gem. -
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional - Great setup family run, lovely pub just down the road run by same family ,owner even gave us a lift down for dinner definitely use again when next up.
- Kristie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natasha (8/5): Very comfortable stay and good value for money. - Good value and a comfortable room. Great communal facilities - kitchen and dining /living room which was really helpful to have. Easy to park. Close to stunning views and lovely nearby towns. Still very new and few little glitches to iron out (the door to the room was a bit sticky and shower could have been a bit warmer). I'm deaf and wasn't expecting the intercom - would be useful to let people know about that. Thanks to Glen for turning up very quickly when he realised I couldn't hear.
- Leeanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoff (9/5): very comfortable and good value - Lovely location and a friendly owner Need a bath mat when exiting shower
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Superb - bed would be better bigger.
small double
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (8/5): Very good -
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claudia (9/5): A good location to Harrogate city. - Although in a rural setting, it is actually 7-10 mins drive to a big supermarket. The owner allowed us to use the kitchen which was well equipped and spacious. Perhaps a bigger sign for the Google map to find! But you can always call for help.
- Susan (8/5): Highly recommended accomodation. - Great accommodation, especially for groups. Brand new facilities, including generous and comfortable communal area.
Clean room and comfy bed and great TV. Landlord/owner, very helpful and friendly. Great food at pub just down the road, if you don't want to cook in the superb communal kitchen. Fabulous breakfast cooked by super friendly host. This accommodation is newly opened and was easily missed as still lacking signage visible from the road. It is on the main road so easy to get to. Trust the sat nav is my advice. Shower did not drain properly so kind of spoiled an otherwise great shower. Sure this is easily fixed already. Not sure it is the best place for lone female travellers such as myself. I felt a little vulnerable having to go to the main kitchen for my morning cup of tea. Would recommend that they provide this in the room for those travelling alone.
- Charlie (10/5): Very relaxing and comfortable visit - EXCELLENT AND ATTENTIVE HOSTS. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY AND BRILLIANT LOCATION.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Room was immaculate, clean and really nice towels.
Run remotely, the owner could not have been more helpful
Parking good too. Only one gripe, no tea or coffee.
