• Craig (10/5): Perfect accommodation for sports tours - Pepe from the outset went above and beyond for us. We travelled as a sports tour and literally everything is ideal for this. So many facilities within 10/15 minutes of the villa. The location of the villa is idyllic and the surroundings are fantastic. Whether you would want to travel for an education purpose, a sports team on a training camp or as a group of mates I cannot tell you how perfect this place is. The house is stunning. Two pools that are truly amazing. Tennis courts, table tennis, darts, plenty of outside space and the views are perfect as well. We trained (football and futsal) a couple of times in Cullera just down the road from the villa. The town doesn't speak much english...this is even better for our athletes so was perfect for us. Price of food and everything was very good. The whole group had a wonderful time. Pepe as I have said was unbelievable. We had a blowout with our hire car on the first day (an hour from landing in Spain). This meant our whole first day was pushed back by about 4 hours and our plans had to change. Pepe kindly waited up for our arrival to show us around at 11pm and then proceeded to help us the following few days. I could not recommend this place more! Nothing! Everything was exceptional.
• Eva (10/5): One of the best large houses we have ever visited in southern Europe! I truly recommend this place! - When we arrived we met Pepe, who is one of the owners. He was very friendly and showed us around. He had also communicated much with us prior to the visit, helping us with information on what to do and how to get there. He had many suggestions for acitivities, and it was clear to me that the recommendations were personal, he shared his own favourites with us. The villa is perfectly situated in the mountains, there is a slight breeze most of the time making the heat bearable. It is also very nice to go hiking, walking or running on trails just outside the door. Pepe could give you tips on many different hikes, with different lengths. This was great for me that like running! I could easily go here again just for the trails! There is also a tennis court and a place to play basket ball. A wonderful green garden that offers opportunity for playing with the kids as well. There are two pools, one that is more shallow (and salt water) that is perfect for younger kids) and one that allows both diving and swimming. Both with GREAT views of the ocean. The facilities are great, we have visited many places in Europe with our large family, and this is one of few that not only has many bedrooms and bathrooms, but also has all the things you could ask for in the kitchen in order to cook good food. The paella pans were impressive, and Pepe and his very nice girlfriend Carla came and cooked for us for a very reasonable price. This I can truly recommend! Another owner, Carlos, also assisted us when things needed fixing, and compared to other places that we have rented, the hospitality and speed in fixing things were impressive. The beach is only 15-18 minutes away, and beautiful and just perfect with waves (perhaps too small for surfing, but great for swimming). There are sights within 15-20 minuts and only 45 minutes to beautiful and wonderful Valencia that has so much to offer that a week is just not enough. We will have to return, both to Valencia and Villa Montgrau. I don't think there is anything that we didn't like. Of course there were things that weren't perfect, but only small details such as that the knives in the kitchen probably could be sharper... Minor details!
