Gabriel went out of his way to provide great recommendations on what to do in the area and truly cared about my well-being during my 2 nights and days in Jardin. • Kerry (10/5): A quiet oasis in a magical town. - Clean, safe and owner Gabriel could not have been more accommodating. He organized all our activities from family coffee tour to horseback riding to waterfalls and even booked our return bus tickets to Medellín. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Clairement Jardin est notre coup de coeur de notre séjour en Colombie. Pas de petit dej mais de nombreuses possibilités dans la ville. Peut être bruyant si les autres clients font du bruit dans les parties communes mais globalement les gens respectent le silence à partir de 21h.
• Sergio (10/5): El alojamiento perfecto en el pueblo perfecto - Lo primero es decir una cosa, si estás pensando en si quedarte una o dos noches en Jardín... La respuesta es que al menos te quedes 3. Necesitas al menos dos días completos para ver lo más importante del pueblo y de los alrededores, que es mucho. La atención de Gabriel es inmejorable. Se conoce muy bien la zona, así que preguntadle cómo organizaros el tiempo. Decidle lo que os gustaría hacer y cómo, y él os aconsejará perfectamente sobre cómo, cuándo, dónde, si hacerlo por vuestra cuenta o contratando a alguien... También os recomienda buenos sitios para comer, desayunar... Lo que necesitéis. La habitación es muy cómoda y espaciosa y está extremadamente limpia. Para mí las fotos no le hacen justicia. La cama es muy cómoda, y las almohadas bien mullidas. El baño es cómodo, y la ducha grande y con buena cantidad de agua y bien caliente. Varias de las habitaciones dan a un patio interior, que es una zona común muy agradable, con mesas y sillas, sofás, agua, infusiones... y un techo retráctil eléctrico.. Es un espacio precioso. Y eso además las hace más silenciosas al no dar a la calle directamente. La ubicación es ideal, está a un par de calles de la plaza principal, aunque hay que decir que todo el pueblo es precioso, la verdad. Está cuidado hasta el extremo y vayas por donde vayas da gusto. Es una delicia pasearlo tanto de día como de noche. No sirve desayuno, aunque la chica que limpia suele ofrecer un buen café para despertaros, que viene muy bien. No obstante, la oferta de desayunos que hay por todo el pueblo es muy variada y deliciosa, así que cero problemas con eso. Hay cafeterías y pastelerías para aburrir. No tiene parking, pero en mi opinión... tampoco hace falta, se puede aparcar en la puerta perfectamente. Solo añadir unas cosas, por si alguien duda: - Si estás dudando en ir a la reserva de aves donde se ven los gallitos rojos, que está a menos de 10 minutos caminando del hotel... No lo dudes. Se ven, sí o sí. Y en libertad total. Que no me haya podido quedar una semana más para poder explorar bien todos los alrededores. Se va uno con la sensación de que se ha dejado rincones por descubrir por todos los valles y ríos que rodean al pueblo.
• Conor (10/5): Perfect location, great value for money and an accommodating host. - The property is conveniently located just a couple minutes walk from both the main square and the bus station you’d arrive at. There’s also a local gym round the corner which was 8,000COP (£1.60ish) for a day pass which was a plus! The hotel is immaculate inside, super clean. The room we had was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was big with a hot shower. The host Gabriel and his staff really take pride in what they do, they were so accommodating and helpful for our entire stay - nothing was too much hassle for them. Gabriel helped to arrange our tours, took our laundry and even booked our bus tickets Medellin and delivered the tickets to us! He really went above and beyond. If I come back one day, I’d be staying here for sure - thanks again Gabriel and the team. N/A

• Greg (9/5): I’ll be back one day! - I highly recommend staying here. I booked for two nights and ended up staying for five, which tells you everything. The location is perfect, and the owner , Gabriel, speaks perfect English and will do anything for you. The room is cleaned daily and there is free water, tea and bananas. I loved being in Jardin and hope to return there one day. A window would be nice to get some fresh air, but I’m realising that most Colombian guesthouses don’t have windows, or have windows onto a common area.

• AYSEGUL (10/5): Absolutely recommended. - Gabriel waited for our bus (chiva) almost at the street so that we had no issues in finding the hotel. He provided all the necessary information about our stay, including hiking routes. Volarte is a cute, small hotel with only six rooms surrounding a pretty inner courtyard, where guests can enjoy coffee and herbal tees, as well as the delicious bananas of Jardin. Also a water refill was available. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, good location, hot water, good wifi. Nothing.

• Alison (10/5): Staying here enhanced our entire experience in Jardin! - Hostal Volarte is extremely well located, very walkable distance to everywhere in town. It is exceptionally clean, with comfortable beds, and there is lots of fresh air from windows and through the courtyard roof which is open most of the time! The host, Gabriel is incredibly kind, generous, and helpful. He always greets us with a smile when we come through the doors and is very eager to help by providing excellent recommendations for food, activities, tours, and to answer any other questions we had. He is very quick to respond by Whats App whenever we reached out with questions. He let us choose our rooms and very generously allowed us to store our luggage after check out. He arranged for our laundry to be picked up and dropped off very quickly the same day, and for anything that could not go in the dryer to hang up to dry. We needed to change our bus tickets, and instead of us going to the office, Gabriel kindly took our details and contacted them directly by phone to make the changes! The courtyard is beautifully set up with water, tea, coffee, and fresh bananas at all times, with access to a fridge for storing our own food. We loved our stay and highly recommend Hostal Volarte to everyone! Nothing, it was great!

We really enjoyed sitting and talking with him too! He provided free coffee, tea, bananas and water. The hostel is very pretty and extremely clean in a great location. We found the beds a bit hard for us, but this didnt take away from our great stay. Everything was great.

Hay café, aromáticas y nevera disponibles. Muy cerca al centro, a la tienda de dulces y a los senderos ecológicos, Don Gabriel muy atento y te entrega un mapa donde están todos los sitios turísticos. El parqueadero es a 3 cuadras y tiene cobro adicional de 25.000 pesos. Hubo un malentendido porque booking muestra el hotel como si tuviera el parqueadero incluido pero no es así, por lo que Don Gabriel muy amablemente se ofreció a asumir ese costo adicional.

Service de lavage du linge sale disponible en supplément pour un prix très correct, ce qui est très pratique. Claudia qui est sur place et Gabriel le gérant sont très serviables. Il n'y a pas de petit déjeuner inclus mais on en trouve facilement juste à côté.

The beds were very confortable, rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and spotless. The hostal is located close to the parque and far away enough for a peaceful rest. Gabriel was an amazing host - he was super attentive to all our needs, for example arranging tours, laundry and transport. He made everything easy! Our room was comfortable and perfect for a short stay. There was free coffee and water available which we really appreciated. The location was great and everything was in walking distance. We would definitely recommend staying here! Nothing :)

When I asked if there was a place to have the zipper on backpack fixed, he took it and brought it back within an hour. When I had an online meeting , he offered that a I could use another unoccupied room with a desk. Everything is new super clean and well designed with attention to detail. Loved that there was free coffee, tea, water and bananas. Also nice to have YouTube on the TV.

There is free water, coffee and tea, and also bananas! Having a smart TV in the room was a bonus too. Gabriel is a fabulous host! He was so friendly and helpful, and gave us lots of tips when we arrived. The location is perfect for exploring Jardin and the surrounding area. Nothing! It would be nice to have a lamp in the room but it’s a very minor point. I’d recommend staying here to anyone.

We had a great welcome from the host Gabriel, whose recommendations for the coffee tour and walking from the cable car to the bird sanctuary were spot on! Jardin is the cutest country town we’ve seen so far. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

The facilities were exceptional. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Also the staff spoke English which was helpful for our stay. It is only a short walk to the main square and not too loud at night.

Location is good and Jardin is the nicest town we have visited in Colombia. Rooms open onto an internal corridor, so you can hear all comings and goings. However the owner ensured noise was kept to a minimum.
• Marcela (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is quite close to the main plaza. Our room was very quiet as it was located away from the main street. The owner was very friendly, supportive and provided us with useful information every time we needed. They provide laundry services at an extra cost.
• Cathelijne (10/5): Exceptional - We got offered a room way too big for the two of us. Had three beds and so much space. The bathroom was very clean and the shower had warm water. The beds are very comfortable and we had enough pillows and blankets for a good night rest. The hostel is located near the main square, but the street itself is still calm. The host was lovely and we felt very welcome. Would definitely recommend this hostel. -
• Moreno (10/5): A hidden gem, book it without hesitation - A hidden gem in the town of Jardín. You should not hesitate to book this place. We just felt like being invited in Gabriels house. He took care of our bus reservations and told us about the possible sightseeings/hikes around Jardín. He always made sure we were doing good. The laundry service was great, nicely folded and nice-smelling. Gabriels english is very fluent. Solo effectivo, cash only! Like most places in Jardín.

• Lena (9/5): Superb - Lovely little hostel right in the center of Jardin. Everything in walking distance. The owner is very friendly and gives great advices for restaurants or tours. There is free fruit and coffee and a kitchen to use.
• Judith (10/5): Amazing stay, definitely recommend! - This hostal is very clean. Next to that the location is just perfect. 3 minutes walk to the main square. Close to a lot of restaurants, bars, supermarket etc. But in a street we’re it is quiet, so you can have a good night of sleep. Another big plus is the owner. His English is really good and he will help you with everything. He called multiple coffee tours for us to find the best/cheapest one and helped us with our transport to the next place. He will make sure you feel welcomed and have a good time in Jardin. Loved the entire stay. But maybe it is not the place to stay if you are looking for hostel with really social vibes to contact with other travellers.
• Sarah (10/5): Perfect place - This hostel is the most incredible value for money that we have experienced in Colombia. It’s the perfect location and has a beautiful internal court yard and room. The owner is extremely helpful and gave us lots of information about what to do in the area and even booked our bus tickets for us! Free fruit and coffee. AMAZING hostel! • Andrea (10/5): Very clean and cozy, small and familiar property which I can highly recommend - Hostal Volarte is very well placed in a 5 minutes walking distance from the main plaza. It's new opend, extremly well maintained, very cozy furnished and very clean. There is a common open kitchen with a fridge, always fresh fruits, coffee and tea available. Gabriel is a very kind host, always ready to help and to give useful advices. The communication always worked instantly. He can also help with transportation from any airport, for example Medellin. Everything was perfect.
• Haley (10/5): Beautiful homestay/boutique hostel/hotel with attention to detail - The stay is absolutely amazing! The best we had in Colombia. Incredibly clean, comfortable and quiet. There is so much extra attention in Gabriel's place than most stays do not have. He truly cares about his guests experience. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are inviting and cozy like being in your own home, the shower has hot water and the entire place was always clean. The location is great, just far enough from the main square that it has more quietude, but still within walking distance of everything. Thank you so much for the experience and the great talks! We can't wait to come back!
• Airena (10/5): Amazing clean place with a very helpful host! - The property was clean and beautiful. The host had fruit, coffee, a assortment of teas and water for everyone staying at the hotel. Gabriel was very helpful helped us with the quad bike tours and even reserved our bus back to Medellin for us. I would recommend this place to everyone. Location is very near to the town centre so no need to get taxi if you stay out.

• Ross (10/5): Excellent value, comfortable, clean, and attrative hostel in town centre with a kind owner - It's a brand new hostel and nothing not to like... despite being in the town centre you get hardly any noise from the street at night so we had a great sleep on the comfy beds, the owner was very kind and helpful, and the common/reception area is attractively decorated with plant arrangements. Free water and fruit were also much appreciated. Not really a negative but one thing to bear in mind - there are no windows, it didn't bother us as helped block out the noise at night and the bathroom has vents to allow air circulation in the room... it's a great option if you want to be in the town centre but if you want a room with a view look for places up on the mountain.

• Lorenza (10/5): 10/10 - your home in Jardin ❤️ - I couldn’t have chosen better! Volarte is an amazing place located in the center of the town. Recently opened but already so known for its beauty and lovely staff! I felt at home, thanks to Gabriel and Lina who welcomed me in this familiar place. Gabriel is an excellent owner, he helps you with all the tips about Jardin and is always ready to help in case of need. He will suggest you about restaurants, place to visit etc He also made me choose the room! My room was small but with all the necessary for my stay. It’s new, bed is comfortable and shower was amazing. There’s hot water (who travels in Colombia knows that is not so common have hot water 😅). Also there’s fruit and coffee for free, and a kitchen in case you want to cook. The common area is small but very nice and after a long hiking day, what’s best if not take a good cup of coffee and relax with birds sounds? If you come to jardin you definitely have to come to Volarte ❤️ That I had to leave 😞 Que tuve que irme 😞

The location, the rooms, the beautiful courtyard that has a glass roof that opens, the coffee and fresh fruit and the amazing host who was so friendly and helpful, organising trips for us and giving us great recommendations for places to visit, eat and drink. This place was more like a boutique hotel than a hostel. Just perfect That was nothing to dislike!!!

• Jared (10/5): Highly recommend to get the best out of Jardin from a wonderful host. - Volarte is a new property steps away from the historic main square of Jardin. Gabriel was the greatest host, so helpful in each and every way. He went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and was happy to help with suggestions for visiting the town and the surrounding areas. This felt more like staying in someone’s house rather than just another guest passing through. Can’t think of anything in particular!
