It’s too narrow and up a really narrow road It’s super loud in the front bedroom when people are staying in the upstairs apartment

Great facilities and welcome pack Lots of useful communication with the owner. Parking was an issue. Not the owners fault as someone had taken up 2 parking spots but had to park in town and walk back in the rain.

• Donna (10/5): Absolutely Fabulous - There was a lovely welcome pack bread, butter, milk, jams marmalade, coffee tea& even left a bottle of wine. The property was lovely and warm on arrival. There really is nothing not to like about this property. The front entrance would look nice with some solar or Christmas lights, just to finish off the perfection.

A few more cups and plates would have been useful. The upstairs flat is sometimes noisy when people are moving around, but earplugs were provided.

We were not far from them, and we had an excellent night's sleep as it was so quiet. The little touches, like the bottle of wine, etc, went down a treat. The pillows and quilt were so comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The hill is quite steep going back up to the cottage, but I managed it, and I struggle to walk. Also, I would still prefer to walk up the hill and stay in this apartment.

Complimentary Toothbrush, shaving kit, hand cream ect. in main bed room, you can see what I believe is dampness coming through the wall, due to it being an old building, but probably needs looking at soon.

• Lana (10/5): We have had the best three nights away & we will defiantly be returning, we highly recommend this apartment for your - We have just arrived home after a three nights stay at the apartment “Biskey bowness” We have visited the area before but this was our first time staying here and I have to comment on how enjoyable the stay has been. We arrived to a well kept, clean apartment which had all the essentials you needed. This touch was a lovely gesture. Essentials included bread, milk, jams/marmalades, butter, hot chocolates, coffee, sugar included was a welcome box with a bottle of wine & other treats which again was so thoughtful. In all of the self contained apartments we have stayed in I can say Biskey bowness is the first one that included all of the above for us & the thought goes a long way. The apartment is all really well equipped and has everything you need in it. I can’t say there is nothing it didn’t have that we was in need off including a designated car parking space & the location is great as it’s just a small walk away from all bars, restaurants & bowness bay. Just up the road from the apartment is a gorgeous view point which looks over lake Windermere, just stunning.

• Dawn (10/5): Perfect gem! - Biskey Bowness is in a perfect location, literally a minute's walk from the Lake Road and the heart of Bowness. It was spotlessly clean, and beautifully presented. The beds were comfy, it was toasty warm, the WiFi was spot on, and the kitchen well equipped...with EVERYTHING you could possibly need! Smart TVs in every room, and a wide selection of games. And parking! The welcome pack was MOST welcome! Bread, butter, wine, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits! Ear plugs on the night stands, and dental packs in the bathroom in case of forgotten toothbrushes! Everything was thought about, to the finest detail. On a rainy weekend, it was fantastic to have such a pleasurable place to stay....Saturday was torrential...but in the evening we had warm baths, put on our pj's and watched Christmas films- playing jenga, connect 4 and scrabble! The wine came in handy!!!! Literally a perfect place to stay. And Inoka was so lovely! Communication was fantastic, and not corporate at all...warm, and exceptionally helpful! Can't thank the owners enough. We go to the Lakes regularly....but I don't think we will ever want to stay anywhere else now. Highly, highly recommended!!!!!! PS. The photos and description don't do the place justice... Nothing. Loved, loved, loved!!!

We arrived in the evening so it was dark all around and we had difficulty finding the entrence (which is from the rear and not from the front). There is no light or big sign to mark the enterance
