Guest Reviews
Finom reggeli.
Melegvízes zuhany.
Jó hangulatú.
Zenés este Olyan nem volt.
- vander (10/5): - Com certeza a família dona do local e o pequeno cachorro deles, muito gente boa.
A educação e atendimento deles.

- Fred (9/5): - The authenticity of this family home stay is outstanding. Such friendly people made us feel at home. Thank you for inviting us to participate in the ceremonies at the village while we were there. Memorable experience.
A recommander
- Stephane Girot (10/5): - Super accueil.
- De (9/5): Fantastic and private family homestay for a real Balinese village experience. - Very friendly and authentic family homestay with everything you need. The hosts are happy to share and talk about everything local and also leave you be in privacy. They recommend an amazing restaurant nearby in a rice paddy setting. No air con and a few mosquitoes.
- Maylu (8/5): The real Bali experience with a warm hearted family - The parents who are main hosts are so warm hearted and make you feel very welcome. The kids can help with English if you like something specific, and you can rent their scooter. Closeby there is a walk and in the village some small shops to buy food if needed. The wi-fi didn’t work very well from my room, so I used my own internet (as I need to enter calls) but also my own internet was not great at times. Just to be aware of if you need it, to maybe stay on your days off.
- Serezha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caitlin (10/5): Exceptional - I enjoyed my stay here SO much. Being a solo traveler I was looked after very well. Grandma Rindu fed me well, encouraged me to take water with me when I went out, and always laughed with me and gave me hugs 🥹 All of the family that I met were very welcoming and ready to have chats. Myself and another traveler were serenaded by our host singing us songs while we were having dinner on my final night! The neighbour played loud music (the bass was the issue, I could hear the beat from my room) a couple times for a few hours during my stay which wasn't fun when I wanted to relax. An inconsiderate neighbour issue though, not Rindus homestays fault.
- Charbel (10/5): Exceptional - The stay was very good and as soon as I arrived I felt home. The couple don't speak English but you understand how lovely they are and helpful they want to be to make you feel confortable. Their son is fluent in English and French and as a tourist guide he gave me some good recommendations to do within my stay. He also play music and sang while dinner which was amazing. I rent a scooter with them and I went everywhere I wanted to go with it. Thank for for those lovely 2 nights.
- Bart (9/5): Superb - Great place to be. Warm welcome., kind people, helpful. I felt at home.
- Manon (9/5): Superb - This place is a true homestay where you feel really welcome. The surroundings offer very nice walks around rice fields, away from the main tourist spots. I 100% recommend staying there :)
- Antonio (10/5): Great family and place - The room is very clean and the beed is big and comfortable. It’s a very quiet place, and the family is super kind. Highly recommended!
- Jennifer (9/5): Welcoming, - I liked that the host took us to places we couln't walk to when he was able to do so. Very welcoming with playing music as a bonus. It would be good to set up a water station so we could refill water bottles. I would be happy to pay a small amount for each refill rather than buying plastic water bottles.
- Evelyn (8/5): Very good -
- Renke (8/5): Lovely lovely family - The people! Soo lovely.
Amazing breakfast.
Dinner and lunch can be provided as well.
Authentic balinese house.
Scooters for rent.
Warungs nearby If you are a light sleeper, it might be difficult (people talking, dog barking, roosters). Also little cold in the night for me (female)
- Sara (10/5): A must in Bali! - Had the most amazing stay in Bali! Rindu Homestay was the best place I could go to recharge and find peace and quiet. I spent a few nights the first time, then went back again, after I hit the most touristic spots in the island, to relax and ride a bike through the forest. The services and hospitality were exceptional, the hosts were helpful with tips on excursions and and keen for a chat. Not to mention the breakfasts and snacks, and the smiles! 10 Bintang (stars) are not enough. A must in Bali!!
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - They were so kind and warm hearted, making you feel like at home and treating you with Snacks and drinks. Great big room with comfortable bed and wonderful place to stay.
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional - The family was so lovely and made us feel totally at home. Even though we only stayed for two nights we already felt like we were part of their home. Their support was so helpful for our trip and the homemade food after our arrival was wonderful. Big plus was the hot shower!! The rooms were so tidy and clean and it was so special to sleep in a traditional Balinese home with a family temple right next to our room. So thank you so much for everything!!
- Milan (7/5): Local experience, no English - Nice location to choose if you want to experience more of the local life. Good location from here to visit Cepung waterfall, Rice Terrace Sidemen, Pura Besikah temple etc. You need a scooter, there is not much in the village Undisan. The homestay rents scooters in very good condition.
(!) Please note: only the son speaks English. He works during the day and only comes home in the evening. During the day the parents are present, who are very friendly, but do not speak English. Difficult to communicate for activities, time, etc.
- Sonya (10/5): A gem in the jungle! Warm Hospitality at a Beautiful Homestay - Staying at this homestay was an unforgettable experience, marked by the exceptional kindness and warmth of the hosts. As a solo traveler with two children—a 15-year-old and a 2-year-old—I was initially apprehensive about how we would be received. However, from the moment we arrived, it was clear that we were in good hands. The family running the homestay went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and well-cared for throughout our stay.
Their genuine hospitality made us feel like part of their family. My two-year-old quickly made new friends among the household. The atmosphere was always welcoming and friendly, fostering a sense of belonging that is rare to find while traveling.
What started as a one-night booking turned into a two-night stay because we simply didn't want to leave. Each day was filled with relaxation and joy. The highlight was undoubtedly the home-cooked authentic Balinese food, which was both delicious and a wonderful introduction to the local cuisine and dressing up in traditional Balinese clothing, and just being part of the family. It was a beautiful stay. Highly recommend. Location is a little tricky to get to, however once you reach there, it takes you by surprise as this is a gem in the jungle. Expect a few flies or midges, but nothing a bit of spray didn’t get rid of.
- Emily (10/5): Worth it for the grandma - We loved the grandma! Location and area is beautiful and loved walking around the village and rice fields
- Vrushabh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leroux (9/5): Superb -
- Margherita (9/5): Lovely and authentic experience - Rindu Homestay is the best choice for an authentic local experience. The family is amazing and extremely welcoming and the room is wide clean and comfy. The village is close to some amazing waterfalls and to Bangli. Strongly suggested! ----
- Cathy (10/5): Great - The grandmother Nothing
- Pernat (10/5): 10/10 homestay - Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They helped us organise all the activities and made sure we got the best price. You can also rent a scooter at the property which was handy. They always had free drinking water, tea and coffee available and really good breakfast for an extra charge. The neighbourhood is calm and there are many beautiful waterfalls nearby. Would love to come back some day. Cold shower, because you are surrounded by nature you can expect some ants, etc
- Sky (10/5): Clean, comfortable and a lovely place to stay. - Beautiful home stay with lovely family! Delicious breakfast served and the host spoke very good English and gave us some great recommendations and told us a bit about his culture. There are many beautiful waterfalls in the area only a 8-10 min motor bike ride away.
- Norm (10/5): You have to experience this homestay. - Beautiful homestay, great family loved my stay, host speaks very good French and English he is a guide so he can organize any tour you want, I was invited to a very special ceremony at the village temple it was an Honor and a great experience, while trekking the rice fields I was invited by a very man to his farm to taste fresh fruits Durian an passion fruit, and speak English to him so he could practice. If you have a motorbike you are within 30 minutes from great Waterfalls and the most beautiful village in Bali Penglipuran Village. Nothing
- Zbyněk (10/5): Exceptional - So friendly people. So kind and helpfull. Very good communication.
Nice trip to Besakih temple. Have no Idea. All lovely.
- Wicaksono (8/5): Very good -
- Bruno (10/5): Very nice homestay, with good family - The very, very friendly family!
Nice speaking with them!
Thanks for all and Sampai jumpa
😀 All was good!
- Hafiz (5/5): Passable -
- Lea (10/5): Best cultural and warmest experience in Bali - It was one of the best homestays we have ever visited.
The family was so adorable, helpful and open hearted. They told us a lot about their culture and we were cooked fresh food every day.
One of our scooters had a flat tyre when we arrived. They took care of it immediately. The furnishings are a little outdated, but this is very forgivable.
- Kavan (10/5): Lovely familly -
- Shreyas (10/5): Great homestay - People there and the care Location is too remote, even taxi services not available some times
- Monty (10/5): A beautiful experience living with a traditional Bali family. - A loving and friendly family with very comfortable and clean homestay guestrooms with a nice sitout area. The hosts are also very resourceful and will help in any way they can. By the time it was time to leave we felt like we were leaving our family. Loved it all.
- Marco (8/5): Very good - Very friendly people, scooter rent available
- Akhil (10/5): Exceptional - Everything!! The host was amazing, good food neat room and also they helped us to get scooters and cab at the best price, just loved the people and service here!!
- Ruben (10/5): MUST STAY HERE - The place is magical and the family is the kindest you will ever meet. Lovely people who would do their best for make you feel at home, taking care of every details, cooking homenade food or teaching you their language and their traditions.
You must stay here if you want to stay with an authentic (and great) Balinese family. The worst thing was that we couldn't stay longer :(
It would be great having a mosquito net, but we didn't see any mosquito during our stay, so it was not big deal.
- Ulf (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place, so beautiful, peaceful and authentic. The whole family compound looks magnificent and the family is very warm-hearted.
A plus (which might be important to some travelers): hot shower.
I would give a rating of 20 if was possible :)
- Lindsay (8/5): Nice place, very small town. - The room was big and pretty comfortable. The host was away, but he kept in touch and was very helpful. His wife, although not able to speak a lot of English, was very, very helpful and did her best to be available, but also respected my privacy. I appreciated their help. A scooter can be rented at the property. The place is located in a very small town, but a scooter is needed to get to local restaurants about 7-10 minutes drive away. There are a couple high-end hotels nearby where you can eat, but these are a bit pricey. (Although one is located in a beautiful rice field.)
You can eat at the homestay, but the menu is very limited. There are waterfalls in the area, but again, a scooter is needed to reach them.
- Kendra (10/5): Best local experience. - My heart is so full after my stay here. The owners made me feel right at home, and included me in local traditions. It was truly the best experience I have had in Bali. The location is great as well-tons to do in the area from the Besakih temple (30m) to one of the most famous waterfalls in Bali (10m). It is worth the stay here! Highly recommend whether you are single, with a significant other, with friends or with a family.
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! We felt so welcomed and comfortable that we stayed 3 days with Komang and his beautiful family. The house, the environment, the food, all the little attentions (like the snack that Nene gave us for our roadtrip to our next destination) were very special. We also had great conversations with Komang, the host, who taught us so much about the Balinese culture. We really hope we'll be able to come back soon!
- Tabea (10/5): The most welcoming family! - Rindu Homestay is a great place to stay outside of the busy tourist areas. it’s located in a small village, from where you can easily drive to places like Tirta Gangga or Pura Bekasih.
The family is amazing! they’ve been super welcoming, the food served was delicious. since the owner used to work as a tour guide, he gave us to tours around the area and to the temples named below. we can really recommend!
the room is very clean :) it’s not a complaint about the owner or the honestly: just recognize there’s no scooter rental anywhere near. so if you prefer doing tours on your own make sure you’ll arrive with a scooter :) but: if you’re not into riding your own scooter the owner will offer great tours.
- Adam (10/5): Thanks Koman and your wonderful family. - Second stay and loved it! Amazing!
- Софья (10/5): we want to go back, we like this nice family so much😌 - very friendly and kind family!!!comfortable and big room with hot water, its important)) beautiful area and soo nice place🙂 we will back🙏🏽
- Györgyi (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely family who gave us the warmest welcome. The room is nothing special, but nice and clean with a huge compfy bed. And the banana pancake is a must for breakfast, I'm still dreaming about it.
- Adam (10/5): Authentic, comfortable - After travelling for several weeks, this is my favourite homestay in Bali - stay here!
An authentic Balinese compound residence. Incredible food cooked with care. Beautiful host family and good privacy in adjoining room when needed.
Good access to visit Besakih temple and Tekud Cepung waterfall. That I didn’t stay longer
- Garvalena (10/5): Perfect stop to go Besakih - the place it’s very comfortable, the staff it’s amazing like family the experience it’s local inmersive i just regret not staying longer ! the morning rooster haha
