• holmes (10/5): Weekend away with one of the nicest bases we have ever had. Lots of information made available - The cabin as a whole was larger than expected with a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom, with a tub that my wife adored. If the weather had been more favourable we could have enjoyed the views from the patio. Bed was very comfy . Kitchen area all functioned correctly as I made my wife a meal for her birthday whilst there. 3 mins from Marwell zoo which was part of the weekend and close to all the amenities you could need. We are less than 20 miles away and can see us using again. A nicely updated guidebook was both sent in advance and available in the cabin. We tried most of the games that are there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The turning for the farm has little to no signage and a blind bend to the left when leaving. But it is stated for privacy.

• Amanda (10/5): Relaxed - Lovely setting, very relaxing Super soft towels, huge bath and comfy bed. Ideal to explore the solent and Winchester. Ideal for catching our breath after a cruise. Nothing to not like!

• Kevin (10/5): Beautiful modern Lodge in a stunning location - Fantastic lodge in a beautiful rural location. There’s not a thing that the owner hasn’t thought of to make the stay comfortable. Due to the location of the lodge and warm weather there are a lot of flies and wasps around, which got everywhere if u opened the windows/doors for a split second never mind if you wanted them open all the time. I’d recommend having fly and wasp spray in the lodge for guests to use if they wish.
• Jacky (10/5): Host was really helpful and communicative. She went over and above. - It felt fairly new and modern - nice layout, lovely bathroom and clean. Great location - private with lovely views. The only thing missing was some sun loungers as the weather was amazing.

• Adi (10/5): A Perfectly peaceful home away from home - Peaceful location, great space for a couple, views were perfect in the day and night with total privacy. Modern design inside for a great country escape. All instructions were sent by email prior to arrival for directions, check in and to know what to expect. It would have been great to be able to fully enjoy the area if there were walking paths around the fields or near the lake however the location is very close to the lake for the views and quacking of the ducks.
• Jen (10/5): Fabulous retreat - Absolutely stunning, peaceful location with high standard of accommodation Only thing that would be beneficial is a small plug in night light to aid late night movement around the lodge without putting bright lights on. Other than that no issues.

• Lucas (9/5): Superb - The Lodge was very clean and had everything you would need for a stay. The bathroom is very clean. Jackie the host was amazing and very kind. We had a small issue with the water tank and it was sorted as quickly as possible and was part refunded for our troubles.

• Vicky (10/5): A hidden gem, fabulous for a little peace away from modern life. - There was everything already provided for hot drinks, we didn’t even have to go out for milk and the host even left us some treats ☺️ The bathroom was sparkling clean. All the towels & bed linen smelled beautiful. The light on the smoke alarm above the bed was a little irritating, but nothing a sleep mask wouldn’t solve.

• Rachel (10/5): A real treat! - Staying at lakeside lodge was dreamy. It has a lovely relaxed homely feel to it but with the luxuries you’d find at a hotel. It was absolutely spotless and felt like Jackie had taken care when creating this space that it feels like a genuine treat to stay at rather than a bed to crash in for the night. We were completely at ease during our stay, instructions were really clear and we would love to return! Having to go home!
• Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, well appointed lodge in a lovely peaceful setting. Our stay was perfect and the lodge was great for my elderly parents who are less mobile. Lots of thought has gone into furnishing the accommodation to a high standard, it was lovely. Communication with the owner Jackie was great and the detailed written directions very useful. She also left us some delicious snacks which were most welcome after our long journey. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

• Jeremy (6/5): Looked great but missing essential things to make the stay more pleasant. - It was quiet and felt safe, surrounded by nature. No wifi was an issue as mobile signals were sporadic at best. TV was on a digital aerial, so only a handful of channels which didn’t work depending upon the weather, freeview is a minimal requirement these days. Plug sockets caused chargers to get extremely hot. Fridge didn’t keep food cool and food was thrown away as it had gone bad. Property got very hot during the day and took ages to cool down once the door and windows were opened.

The property was set in a beautiful location and was a perfect base to explore the local area. It is a really well thought out property and was the cleanest property we have ever stayed in. The communication from the owner was excellent and the property had some lovely extra touches to make you feel welcome and more at home. I would highly recommend this property and we definitely plan to revisit.

Adequate lighting, comfortable bedding and very homely. Beautiful lodge in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature. We would 100% stay here again! What is there not to like.

• Lizia (9/5): Very comfortable lodge on the countryside! - The lodge was very comfortable, clean, quiet and modern. Before the trip the host send us a pack with all the information about the lodge and surrounding areas. It was easy to get to by car and flexible check in. The lodge is equipped with everything you need for a weekend away, from a very modern kitchen to classic board games. It has a great view from the countryside and the lake near by. It was lovely and we would come back again. The only thing that I can say is that we couldn’t access the lake to walk around it or to have a picnic by the lake, because it’s surrounded by an electric fence. We could see the lake from the property but not really enjoy it.

The bed was very comfy, the bathroom, kitchen, dining area and bedroom were are all really nicely decorated! Lovely open space. Jackie was very helpful with answering any questions we had, they also let off a firework display as it was NYE from their house which we could view from the lodge! We will definitely be returning and I’m already looking forward to it!!!!! Nothing
• Duncan (9/5): Superb - Very welcoming with the Christmas decorations and the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Lovely location next to the lake. Not being able to walk anywhere directly from the lodge.
• Anthony (10/5): A Peaceful Lodge Close To The City - The lodge is easily located just a short drive from the main road but once you are there the wonderful lake and peaceful surroundings make it feel like you are miles away from anything! The parking is ideal, right outside the lodge and once you walk in you immediately feel at home. It is a small lodge but with everything you need. The facilities are top notch and we did not want for anything whilst we were there! There was 4 of us staying and there was plenty of room and with the use of the sofa bed we all slept comfortably. Extra towels and sheets were provided and this was done without any request at all. The lodge is beautifully decorated and has all the modern appliances you could want. The shower and bath are incredible and made it a joy to get up in the morning. The view of the lake in the morning was fantastic and amplified the enjoyment of our stay. The cupboards had tea, coffee and sugar and milk was also provided which made for a lovely surprise and convenience. We got a taxi into Winchester which was only a 20 minute drive and a taxi back again and they had no issues locating the property. Jackie is a wonderful host making sure that we had everything we needed and even left some nice stacks as a welcome to the lodge. We loved every minute of our stay and we would not hesistate to recommend it to anyone! We will definitely be back in the future. Nothing at all! It was perfect!
