• Jitka (8/5): Very comfortable dog-friendly lodge with beautiful swimming pool. - Excellent location - peaceful and idyllic scenery. Beautiful swimming pool which was heavenly on hot days. Easy car parking and easy access by car. Close driving distance to local wineries. Very comfortable accommodation. Dog-friendly indoors. Has two fully fenced yards for our dog which was great. More outdoors lighting so we use the BBQ for dinner after sunset.
• Kylie (7/5): Neighbours can truely make or break your stay! - We loved the quiet nature of the property, being off the main road and having space. We loved the open feel of the property. We didnt like our neighbours (in the other cabin) Up having a very loud domestic til past 2am! They woke us several times - this is no reflection on the property at all though. Just means we have come home from our stay completely exhausted as we couldnt sleep for majority of our last night. Other than our neighbours, everything was pretty good.

• Sharon (10/5): So perfect and comfortable, especially for a large family. - The cabins are huge. Very comfortable and the service I’ve received from Gordon and Bruce is wonderful. We personally needed a bigger fridge since it was Christmas and since there is a full sized kitchen in the middle cabin, it would have made it perfect.
• Leigh (10/5): A truly unmatched, magical escape that feels like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. - The location was absolutely stunning and incredibly peaceful, with thoughtful personal touches like a complimentary locally made gift. We loved the games, firewood provided, the alpacas you can feed, and the creek where we were lucky enough to spot a platypus. The fireflies at night lighting up the trees was truly magical and unforgettable. Honestly, nothing — the experience exceeded our expectations. Everything felt well thought out and intentionally designed for relaxation and connection with nature. Closer vehicle access would be very helpful as I had a fractured ankle.

We arrived late at night due to work commitments and checking in and out was easy. The room was comfortable and clean. Early in the morning and late at night Kangaroos come to visit. Nothing, everything that was described was what you got. Exceptional

• Stephanie (7/5): Beautiful location, but not super clean. - Location was stunning. So peaceful and quiet. Saw kangaroos and cows and enjoyed the sound of the birds. Someone thought corregated iron in the shower and bathroom was a good idea. It looks cool, but it has not been cleaned. Gross. Pool had alot of dirt in it and there was no pool vacuum to clean it out.

Absolutely loved that the front was all glass sliding doors so you could see the view waking up in bed. Andrew and Val were friendly and available. Loved the deep bath! We did find it took a while for the hot water to come through the shower in the morning however this was not the end of the world but it was not turn on and jump in - I ended up taking baths :-) . Everything else was really great.

• Angela (10/5): A little bit of paradise amongst nature - Amazing little lodge that is very spacious and comfortable. Great bathroom (we had a huge bathtub). An added bonus is the pool and pool area. There is a microwave, kettle, toaster, small bar fridge (big enough to accommodate drinks and cold food for a few days) & a BBQ. It was extremely clean and had a great feel about the place. The host, Andrew is so friendly and helpful. You can’t help but feel relaxed with nature right outside your door. Would definitely stay again when we are in the area again. Nothing we didn’t like about the property.

Host was very friendly and accommodating. This property is very dog friendly. Beautiful rural landscape at our footsteps. A shared pool to relax in (shared with only one other cabin). Private accommodation with comfy bed, air-conditioning& fan, kitchenette, couch& TV, and a bathroom with a bathtub to relax in. But the best part was being able sit on the porch and watch the kangaroos in the morning. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Great for relaxation, bird watching and other wildlife. Even when it rains it has its charm. The bed was freat! And we slept really well. Love the simplicity of it all and the hosts are such lovely people. Hope we fed the ants well on their hill 😀 The lounges are not very comfortable and unfortunately we had a lot of rain so couldn't use outdoor seating or bbq. No real cooking facilities apart from bbq and microwave. The shower and floors throughout were not spotless, but ok. Very grateful for the fridge! 😁

The lodge was comfy and cooled quickly with the aircon. It was a little difficult preparing food and washing up without a bench/sink but was manageable.

Close enough to Pokolbin to enjoy it but far enough away to think you've got your own private property. Nothing. It was all perfect.

• Linda (8/5): Country escape - Loved the position in the country, isolated but still close enough to shops, wineries etc. Loved having two separate lodges with our own pool with shade. Lodge 1 didn't have any screen doors and being in the country, you need to be able to stop the bugs getting in. Although I knew there was no kitchen we could still make meals which was great. A benefit would be an outside sink to do dishes and a bench to prepare food rather than the table.

• Churchill (8/5): Rustic Charm in the Hunter. - Country style cottage, rustic, peaceful, pool was a bonus with the heat. Owners were lovely and accommodating. Power off for 9 hours, on our 3rd day, not the owners fault, Ausgrid issue, just put a dent in our trip. Fridge was to small, bigger fridge required when you are 15 mins out of town.

Beautiful open area farm like scenery while seating on the patio having wine and a cheese board. Peaceful Not much not to like, the reception for the internet was temperamental but didn’t worry us too much we weren’t In the lodge all day, Cath up with friends and did so site seeing so we weren’t really fussed on the internet.

The shower not draining properly was a real issue as it ended up all over the floor. There was a tool to help guide it down the drain but it was quite ineffective.

The cabin was spacious, amazing views, full hunter experience emerged in nature. Cute pool, clean, all the amenities you need and the owners were so accommodating and welcoming. Even turned on the light for us went were we out late on the Saturday night. These little things you don’t get in a hotel stay. Made our experience great and we’ll definitely be recommending this place to our friends To nice, didn’t want to go home.

It has a nice view of the mountain, was safe and quiet. Would be great if there was block out blinds covering the whole glass door at the front. Soft /warm yellow lighting from table lamp would be nice instead of the harsh white lamps.

• Belinda (7/5): Cosy country cabin feels - Peaceful, great size cabin Driveway has lots of holes and lots of puddles after the rain. Shower has no surround or curtain and water doesn’t run away well so when you go to have the next shower there is freezing water in the bottom of the shower. No bench to put toiletries on when getting ready. Needs kitchenette which sink. Be great to also be able to watch TV from bed.

King bed with two big sofas at its foot + smart TV, basic kitchenette facilities and a huge bathtub (thought the bathroom is very "tin shed chic"). And we loved the little wood stove to keep us cosy in the winter. The lighting is annoying - all lamps had harsh white lights, and there was only one warm golden (cosy feeling) light in the place. Pillows also weren't great, very thin with no support.

The house was well appointed, comfortable and had a lovely pool area and terrace to enjoy the sunset and sunrise and watch the kangaroos. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

Wish I got there earlier to make use of the fireplace (which had everything you needed in the room ready to go) Excellent value for what you get.
