Guest Reviews
- jean (9/5): - Great location, clean and comfortable. Kate was accesable and friendly.
- Grant (8/5): -
- Louise (8/5): A beautiful stay in a cosy cottage with castle views. - The location is stunning. The enclosed courtyard and garden are perfect for children and pets. The cottage had everything you need go a comfortable stay and the surrounding area has so many lovely walks and things to see. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but that’s mainly down to our age and back problems! Must remember to bring my own pillow!
- Michelle (7/5): Whilst there were some things that didn’t quite meet up to the standard, we expected this did not detract from our day i - Location
Thoughtful extras in the kitchen,
Ie coffee, biscuits etc great after a long drive to wind down with a hot drink.
Warm.
Bedding and pillows plump and warm. Furnishings looked tired.
Beds were quite uncomfortable (hard)

- Jill (9/5): Lovely country cottage - Beautiful location. Warm. Clean. Comfortable. Well equiped. Nice walks from cottage. Lots of places to visit in the area. The armchairs could do with replacing. They were a bit wobbly. The sofa was very comfortable. A coffee table would have been nice.
- Madeline (10/5): Peaceful surrounded by nature but home comforts thrown in - Amazing surroundings lovely clean cottage with everything we needed
Such a quiet peaceful place with a lovely garden and surrounded by great walks
Definitely will be going back Thank you for a restful break Nothing it was perfect
- Hans (9/5): Prachtige locatie/cottage, was echt genieten! - Prachtige locatie, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar! Nvt
- Ted (10/5): Castle Kennels - Great quiet location, really nice well equiped cottage.
- Helen (9/5): Superb - A great cottage in Aberfeldy with comfortable beds and lovely soft carpets. The peace and quiet was extraordinary and so lovely to have silence with the bedroom windows open at night.
Incredible bird spotting in the daytime. Beautiful views of the surrounding fields.
Only negative was the lack of comfy seating in the living room area. There was one very small two seater sofa and the alternative was a very rickety dining chair. Aside from that, Aberfeldy was beautiful and we had a great stay!
- Fiona (8/5): Enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Would definitely come back as it’s a great base to explore. Very comfortable cottage and th - Lovely location and nice large garden Smaller than it looked in the pictures but nevertheless we had a fantastic time
- William (6/5): Pleasant - Lovely cottage very well equipped.
The weather was cold outside and the heating system not the most effective in every room the windows where streaming with water creating damp within the bedrooms not great if you suffer from Asthma.
We all agreed the cottage needs some upgrading to the bathroom heat and Windows and heating system not what we are used to at home.
The beds are very comfy and carpet was very clean. Its such a shame because this cottage has the potential to offer a lot more luxury and comfort than what it currently offers.
Unfortunately for these reasons we wouldn't return but mainly because of our experiences travelling and knowing the level of accommodation and standards other places offer. Heating was up full but still cold to our standards.
Windows streaming with water even with opening windows to allow ventilation.
Bathroom no radiator towel rail gave off next to no heat.
Old fashioned blow heater in bathroom
No heat in back hallway.
Chairs in sitting room.wabbling and feel ready to break/ snap
Dust on lots of shelfs in bathroom hall etc
- Andrew (9/5): A wonderful cottage in a special place. - Very comfortable and with all the required facilities and equipment. Very clean throughout and beautifully dressed for Christmas. The garden was large and secure for our two dogs. And just a five minute drive into Aberfeldy.
We had a wonderful walk in the Birks of Aberfeldy up to a magnificent waterfall.
I am pleased to be able to recommend this cottage. The bathroom was a little cold (we were there in December). And the lounge carpet was light coloured which made us paranoid about our dogs entering.
- Stewart (10/5): Exceptional - ideal location near Aberfeldy and short drive to the Ben Lawers Hills. Fully contained large garden with high fences was great for our dogs - including smaller gated courtyard right outside the front door in case you want to stop then roaming around the whole garden at night :)
- Marthijn (9/5): Superb - It's a fantastic cottage, at a great location, closeby a number of beautiful glens and towns. The host thinks of many small conveniences to improve your stay. Everything was great accept the beds. They are just way to hard, otherwise it would have been a 10 out of 10
- Alexander (8/5): Very good -
- Jim (7/5): Good -
- Philip (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing - Very Private Location Nothing not to like
- David (9/5): Enjoyable relaxing weekend in the heart of Perthshire - Location is superb Nothing to report
- Andrea (7/5): Good - Location was fantastic.. comfy beds, great downies and towels... mainly well equipped kitchen Property was cold when we arrived.... heating had been put on but don't think it had been occupied for a while and the building felt cold...
a better hoover to clean. up and more tea spoons
- Ann (10/5): Cosy well equipped cottage in a perfect location. - Absolutely everything! It’s private, the grounds are secure for dogs, the cottage is clean and has everything you need. There was a lovely touch of a welcome pack on arrival. It is the perfect base to travel and explore local areas such as Blair Atholl, Pitlochry, and Aberfeldy would definitely recommend. Nothing
