Guest Reviews
- phillip (10/5): - Everything was perfect, home from home All perfect
- lovehotels17 (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - Everything great stay Nothing everything exceptional
- Diane (10/5): Lovely cottage and hosts, great location in tiny St. Just. - A beautiful cottage, beautifully decorated, modern appliances. Everything just so. We were a little chilly and but could never get the heat up a few degrees. Loved the heated towel rack though. It armed the bathroom and my underwear dried in a few hours.
- Mark (10/5): If you come to St Just stay at the Cobble Cottage - Location, lovely cottage, lots of amenities. Very comfortable. Would highly recommend.
- DDowd (10/5): Returning to this gem of a cottage. - The surrounding area from Cape Cornwall to Zennor is stunning steeped in mining/ shipping history. The beaches are pristine with outstanding clear waters. It is a blessing to come from a city to the peace of South West Cornwall. To compliment this returning to this beautiful cottage is a godsend. The host is excellent in catering for ones every need. Would of been good to have a outside bin for waste particularly if staying for a longer period.
- Anita (10/5): Fantastic, would recommend - Fantastic cottage everything you could want, very pretty inside and a lovely log burner for those chilly nights 👍. In a central position, right next to pubs, little coffee shops , grocers , co-op, chemist and great to have your own car space. Everything was spot on 👍
- Steve (10/5): Perfect break in this lovely part of Cornwall in a stunning cottage. - Everythink you need, well planned cottage all mod cons in an old cottage. Mayber a smart speaker to be pick,y but we just had radio on from our phones so no issue really.
- Andy (9/5): Near perfection in Central St Just. - Central location, well equipped, parking (though never an issue in St Just), and really comfortable bed. Be aware that the stairs are really steep, certainly not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There is nowhere to sit outside (should the sun be out). And if I was to nitpick, the kitchen is missing scales, sieve, and steamer. A confusing Sky Glass TV.
- Michael (9/5): As expected having stayed at Cobble before -
- Stacey (10/5): -
- Dean (10/5): This place is Absolutely fantastic, in a perfect location and perfect host, Thank you Carolyn. - Nothing to dis-like
- sam (10/5): -
- Burns (10/5): - Everything the location parking .excellent accommodation spotless comfortable have booked again thanks so much foe a lovely relaxing break Everything was excellent
- Keith (10/5): - Bijou but super clean and comfortable. We found the stairs a bit of a challenge but then we are in our 70’s.
- jill (10/5): -
- Adrian (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a beautiful village - Beautifully appointed Grade II listed cottage enhanced with Cornish pottery and furnishings from Cream of Cornwall. The cottage was warm on our arrival and we were grateful for the pint of milk in the fridge. We felt very spoilt. Understandably the windows aren’t double glazed and so the noise from the nearby Wellington Hotel can be heard well into the early hours of a Friday and Saturday. The installation of secondary glazing in the bedroom would be a godsend.
- Nigel (10/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): Quintessential! Very cosy space in a wonderful little village. One of the best places we have stayed. - Everything! The location, the space, the finishes were superb.
- Maguire (9/5): Perfect in every way - Everything Nothing
- lee (10/5): Cobble Cottage. - Second time that I have stayed here. Beautiful, throughout. Loved the cornish dinner service ( I need one in my life now) . There is nothing to dislike. Wish I could stay there for ever.
- Jacqueline (10/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - It's a beautifully restored cottage in the centre of St Just. We loved all the tasteful quirky touches. It had everything we needed and is very comfortable.. The cottage is in an excellent position for all the eating and drinking places and has its own parking space. The stairs are a little difficult for us oldies, just have to be careful.
- Nic (9/5): Beautiful immaculate cottage in a brilliant location - Excellent location in the centre of town with access to shops, cafes, bakery, grocery and pubs. The cottage is immaculate and extremely tastefully decorated to and extremely high standard. All the facilities and household goods are very good quality. The cottage is very comfortable. There’s no outside space. There’s not quite enough cooking equipment but we planned after our last visit and took along what we needed (baking tray, quiche tin and casserole dish) the house is gorgeous so it doesn’t impact your stay.
- Cavell (10/5): We would love to return for a longer stay as 4 days isn't really long enough to explore everything - The cottage and location were perfect for my husband and i for a lovely relaxing holiday. the hosts have thought of everything there is nothing it does not have. Not much to do for children without travelling out of the area however it was not advertised for children to stay, the hosts kindly allowed us to bring our granddaughter with us after booking the cottage.
- Marja (10/5): Heerlijk - Erg mooi ingericht, centrale locatie, het was compleet en schoon.
Bed erg goed. Gewoonweg heerlijk.
Dicht bij strand (25 min lopen of 5 min rijden)

- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Great location with parking . Cottage has everything u need .
- Elizabeth (10/5): Fantastic cottage in excellent location - Very comfy bed and sofa. Modern facilities with a traditional feel. Exceptional value for money and everything you need in the cottage and village Nothing not to like, but we would have liked a broom!
- Anita (9/5): Great stay at St Just - Lovely cottage, well equipped with good quality furnishings and equipment. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Parking at the cottage is a nice bonus. Nothing
- Bernadette (10/5): Exceptional - Apologies have taken so long to write this review. Absolutely beautiful cottage, the owners have created such a beautiful place. High end appliances and finishes, they have thought of everything. Extremely cosy and comfortable and very clean. Would have loved to have stayed longer and hope to book again soon. Great to have parking directly outside. Seemless arrival and departure, hosts very helpful. Thank you so much! There was nothing I didn't like. Fantastic place.
- Peter (9/5): Superb - Lovely accommodation in a great location. Nothing.
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ddowd (10/5): Wonderous time in South West Cornwall - Cottage is beautiful with high standard of facilites and furniture. Bed and bedding are luxurious. Log fire was easy to operate and comforting at night. Coastline from St Just to Zennor is stunning. Walked everywhere every day without car. Very windy but the coast is more magical when waves are fierce. Host really lovely and helpful. Always at hand. Nothing
- Susannah (10/5): Another perfect visit - This is our second visit. First was for our honeymoon, and we returned for our 1st anniversary. The cottage is immaculate and very well equipped. St Just is the perfect mix of convenience and retreat.
- Steve (10/5): Relaxed stay, great walks on the coast at your door step bed so comfy to retire to after a busy day. - 2nd time staying here, its a lovley cottage to stay and explore this part of Cornwall All good, no negatives come to mind
- Roy (10/5): The perfect weekend break - The cottage was well maintained and felt cosy and welcoming. It was a perfect weekend.
- Janet (10/5): We had a fabulous Christmas break in a very idyllic cottage. - The cottage is in an excellent location within the village. On site parking is a big bonus. The cottage is very cosy, well equipped and tastefully decorated.
- Carole (10/5): Comfortable and a great place to relax - I’ve stayed here twice now and loved it each time, I’m a regular student at a local art school and the cottage is a perfect base. Everything was great
- Justine (7/5): Beautiful Cottage, great communication from host. - The cottage was absolutely beautiful and had everything that we needed to a very high standard. The host was helpful and informative and easy to contact. The cottage is located within St Just which is a beautiful and very interesting town to visit. However, for our stay it was just too noisy as there were lorries delivering goods at 6.30am in the morning outside the bedroom window and it was generally very noisy making it difficult to sleep. If you are used to a busy town/city then this cottage is completely perfect as everything is covered. It was just not for us as we are used to more quiet locations.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (10/5): Loved Cobble Cottage. - What a super cottage. Everything is clean, comfortable and tasteful without being fussy. Very clear instructions before and during our stay. Very well equipped and oh-so-comfy bed. Leaving.
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Dan (10/5): Another return visit to Cobble Cottage! - This is our 3rd stay at Cobble Cottage on consecutive trips to St. Just, when somewhere is this good you just have to keep coming back. Beautiful cottage on the square in the centre of the village with a bonus of a parking space, close to several pubs, shops, cafes, an ice cream parlour and a pasty shop. All creature comforts in the cottage too, full kitchen, dining space, a log burner and Sky Glass TV! What more could you need. Nothing to dislike!
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brooks (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (10/5): Fabulous, comfortable, lush. - Amazing host, keys not in the safe place but a quick phone call and 2 people turned up and met us within minutes......no problem as we sat next door in the pub Having to leave
- Mark (10/5): Perfect little cottage in heart of village - Beautiful little cottage in middle of St Just village. Furnished to high standard. Can’t recommend this place enough. Nothing
- Barry (10/5): Fabulous and enjoyed every moment - Nothing to dislike the whole holiday was fabulous and the cottage was absolutely gorgeous and couldn't ask for anything better
- Graham (8/5): When can I move in! - The whole cottage was amazing, exceeding expectations and the location for what we needed over the long weekend was perfect. Plus you pop out the front door and you've got a fantastic greengrocer (it is so much more than that!), eateries and a little supermarket. The cottage itself had everything you need, you feel like you could just move in and it has the comfiest of sofas! Couldn't fault the cottage at all and will look forward to staying again. It isn't really a didn't like more of something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper/early to bed type person. We arrived Thursday and left Monday, 3 out of the 4 nights there was a lot of noise from the surrounding pubs, with it escalating to the Saturday night, where there was shouting/screaming leading up to the pubs closing and for a little time afterwards. Obviously its the Summer holiday, so it could be a mix of that and perhaps in off peak times, there wouldn't be the noise, or at least as much. It wouldn't stop us staying there again, we'll just get better ear plugs!
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully designed and very comfortable. All facilities available. All excellent
- Jennica (10/5): A cute and cozy bungalow in a wonderful area! - Everything! Such a nice place to stay and have has a home base. Would stay here again! Nothing!
- Mike (10/5): The best. - Super location, excellent facility. Can’t criticise.
- Nic (10/5): Beautiful relaxing holiday in the perfect Cornish retreat - wonderful! - The location was perfect. We were seconds from the bakers, grocery shop, supermarket, cafe, shops and pubs. We were within walking distance of the beautiful Cot Valley and its beach. The cottage was decorated and furnished to an extremely high standard. It was extremely tastefully decorated and really set the scene for a seaside holiday. We felt very welcome and relaxed there. It genuinely was practically perfect! If I had to criticise it would have been great to have had a bench outside on the cobbles so that we could have soaked up the atmosphere and the sun! But it was honestly really superb!
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (10/5): We had the most amazing time at Cobble Cottage and hopefully get the chance to return in the future. - Great location, not only for St Just , but a great base for st Ives, porthcurno, lands end etc. The attention to detail in the cottage is immaculate and the bed and pillows are so comfy. We honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. What a privilege to have stayed in such a wonderful cottage. Everything was perfect.
- Michelle (10/5): A perfect stay in a beautiful cozy cottage which is stylish and spacious in an excellent location. - The quality of all the fittings was exceptional Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent - Everything very memorable
- Lynn (9/5): Superb - Beautiful cottage, renovated to a high standard and so comfortable. It's in a great location with so much on the doorstep and lots to see and do in the surrounding area.
- Kirsty (10/5): We loved this lovely cottage . It has everything you would need a home from home. We loved St Just it is a beautiful pla - Everything Nothing
- Furneaux (10/5): Great place to stay. - Immaculate ,clean ,tidy ,homely, everything you needed was there. Sorry didn’t have time to write in the book. Nothing to report
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful Cottage with high class fittings and extremely well stocked.
- Sandra (10/5): Lovely place - Very comfortable and clean, had everything we could have asked for :)
- Dean (10/5): Absolutely perfect in everyway. - What a beautiful Cottage, its stunning we love it. Nothing.
- Emma (10/5): Loved the cottage, loved the location, hope to be back one day. - Beautiful little cottage, very comfortably furnished and well equipped and great to have a parking space right outside. Location was perfect for our stay as we wanted to explore the whole area between Penzance and Land's End. That said, we also found it great for walking just from the doorstep. The town of St Just had a lovely community feel and we had no problem finding the few bits and pieces we needed to top up with while we were there. Nothing to fault, they really do seem to have thought of everything.
- Hazel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): If it's available then book it! - Second visit in 2 years. Cottage still hits you with a wow factor . Everything you need for a holiday stay. Location is a bonus too. Immaculately clean on arrival and excellent communication from Carolyn from the minute you book to the day of arrival. Nothing to dislike.
- Sarah (10/5): Absolutely worth a stay - Beautiful little cottage, lovely little town, you can go out and about to other places as Cornwall has so much to offer, cottage it's self stunning everything you need to stay, extremely clean and well looked after. Would recommend and would also book again.

- Hazel (10/5): Super cosy gorgeous cottage - Gorgeous cottage - very high specification. Brilliant log burner - super cosy. Parking outside is excellent as is central location . All perfect
- Steve (10/5): great location for Cornwall coast walks, very relaxing cosy warm cottage done to a high standard - spot on clean and great location in the middle of town with the bonus of a parking spot right outside the frount door, will defo return in the future. being picky a smart speaker rather than having the TV on and possibly a TV in the bedroom, but that is me being super picky, the place was fab as is.
- Louise (10/5): Birthday get away - Beautiful cottage right next to the church. It had everything u needed. Loved the extra touches with the throws. Nothing was to much trouble.
Looking forward to coming back.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic little cottage in the village centre. Could not have been better. Had everything we needed and a parking space out the front. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and all the fixtures and fittings are top quality. Could not fault and would love to stay again. Nothing to report.
- Russell (10/5): Perfect cozy romantic Cornish cottage - Everything you need for a romantic break
- Georgina (7/5): Good - Beautiful decor, quality inclusions, great cooking facilities. Loved the homewares, decorations, styling etc Unable to get the fire going, yes, we watched the utube video, unable to increase temperature on the radiator, yes, we read the manual. Too much noise outside, workmen using jackhammer until late at night outside front door, blocked our parking, tricky to leave property with our suitcases, just an unlucky time to visit!
- Anonymous (10/5): Absolutely awesome stay and would recommend to anyone definitely be booking to stay again - Everything stunning property with everything you need Nothing not to like as cottage was amazing
- Russell (10/5): Beautiful cottage - Everything was perfect, everything we needed was already there
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent, all the contents were great quality, had a real homely feel and sense of pride over the home , rather than cobbled together like some holiday lets All was good
- Carole (9/5): Great, comfortable - The style, comfort level and nice quality furnishings Nothing really although I was woken at 4 am two mornings running by the neighbours
- Chris (10/5): This cottage has everything you need and more. Very generous hosts and cosy nights in by the fire. Highly recommend - Cosy, spotlessly clean, parking, comfortable, log burner Nothing
- Dean (10/5): PERFECT - Fantastic cottage in a fantastic location
- Jeremy (9/5): Have already re-booked for next year. - A dedicated parking space outside the front door makes loading/unloading easy and obviously simplifies going out for the day. The property has been sympathetically renovated to a very high standard, is cosy, comfortable and is located right in the centre of St Just. Nothing.
- Sarah (10/5): Fabulous St.Just Cottage - This cottage is beautifully presented and is in a fabulous location, St. Just is a lovely little town with plenty of places to eat and to buy food if you want to cook or take-out. The cottage has everything you might need and things you had not thought of! We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this place highly. The car parking space is tight, especially when the neighbours cars are parked up, and restrict your angle of approach to the drive. We managed and perfected the art of parking by the end of our three days. We have a fairly big car and managed ok.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional - Our second trip to Carolyn's Cobble Cottage, returning less than 12 months since our first visit. Again, the Cottage was immaculate, well furnished and ready on time. Instructions for the log burner, TV, washing machine, dishwasher (and everything else in between) was to hand in the guest folder, and there was a pint of milk in the fridge so we could have a brew when we got there! There's nothing not to like!
- Dawson (10/5): Fantastic cottage in a brilliant location - Beautiful cottage which was tastefully decorated and well provisioned with everything you could need.
The cottage is in a fantastic location, with shops, pubs and cafés right on the doorstep. Allocated parking is very helpful.
- Rowan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tina (10/5): This cottage is lovely it’s finished to a very high standard with everything you need for your stay - Everything was finished to a high standard
- Jill (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (7/5): Good -
- Jacqueline (10/5): I loved staying in such a beautiful cottage - pristine nothing
- Anonymous (9/5): Perfect for our short stay and will be coming back again. Perfectly renovated Cornish cottage in prime location. - It’s charm, the attention to detail, location, parking and extensive character. Nothing
- Anna (10/5): Couldn't recommend more highly - Perfect location to explore the surrounding area, with everything you could need (cafes, supermarket, fish and chips) less than 100m away.
The cottage itself is of the highest quality with everything you could ever need supplied. Just to be aware the stairs are reasonably steep so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional cottage in a great location all - Fantastic cottage well equipped with everything you could possibly want
Top of the range of everything If we were being picky it would be the stairs but that’s not fair as we live in a flat
- Peter (10/5): Best I've ever stayed in-incredible value for money. Great communication from owners. - Location, location, location. Absolutely stunning cottage. Situated right in the heart of all that is good about St Just. High end fixtures and fittings make this place a perfect home away from home. Cottage full of charm and character and smack bang in the very heart of beautiful St Just. Eateries and bars are literally within 20 paces of the front door. The parking space with the property is a Godsend. We parked up on arrival and used the bus at ÂŁ25 each for unlimited travel anytime of day on any bus to anywhere you wanted to go in Cornwall-and that included the open topped tour busses. The bus terminus is a minute away on foot. Excellent communication from the owners from within the first hour we booked to the minute we arrived. The early check in was an added bonus. You simply won't find better than this place in Cornwall no matter how hard you look. If this is available you would be a fool not to book it. Since covid we have done 3 summers of this type of break-3 or 4 a year all over the UK-and we have never stayed in accommodation as beautiful as this. Pictures and text do not do it justice. In fact I believe the owners actually undersell the place and you would probably pay twice as much for inferior properties as this one is at an incredible price point for what you get. Highly recommended and if you do book go and climb up to the top of Cape Cornwall-it is stunning. The 5th century church adjacent to the cottage is well worth popping in to and is open all day. Such a peaceful place yet less than 10 seconds walk to the nearest bar!! Not one negative can be levelled at this place.
- Craig (10/5): great base, clean, comfortable, well appointed - location and facilities perfext
