Guest Reviews
- Nicola (10/5): - Simple but clean ensuite room. Helpful staff and excellent breakfast
- Gaynor (10/5): - Clean room, Great breakfast. Great conversation at breakfast.
- Amy (8/5): -
- Hilary (10/5): - Breakfast was a feast , including wide variety of fresh fruit.
The college setting was beautiful The shower was tiny and up a narrow flight of spiral concrete stairs, spartan even for students.

- Mehmet Ali (9/5): -
- John (6/5): All in all good value for money, beautiful college, great staff…pretty grim rooms - Incredible location, fantastic staff Room wasn’t nice, a straight view from outside through the curtains when closed to my bed
- Lindsay (8/5): - Good location for exploring Oxford set within beautiful grounds. Good breakfast choice provided within the college refectory. Room was larger than expected with a very clean shared shower room between 4 rooms on ground floor and shared kitchen on first floor.
The only issue with my stay was other guests failing to recognise that 5there was other people staying and making noise including shouting between floors at 03:30. Earplugs are needed
- Andrew (10/5): - Loved the venue, clean and simple.
- Arno (10/5): Convenient location and modern room - Brand-new contemporary building within the site of a historic college. The shower room was modern and simple, but not very convenient -- a typical the designers' lack of consideration. I wished there was a towel hanger within my reach from the shower and from the washing basin. I also wished to place my cosmetic goods near the washing bowl. The shower was not very strong, or the towel warmer was not working. The breakfast in the hall experience was amazing. The food was good, too.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Dorothee (8/5): Nice and special location, sufficient comfort in the room. - great place to be, location is nice, special breakfast hale, Wifi was not well accessible and there were no showers, just a bath with fixed water points.
- Vigier (10/5): -
- Guest (8/5): Perfect - It was a perfect location for my travel.
Go for it!
- SANDRINE (10/5): - All was perfect!
- James (4/5): Lots of history but not going back - Friendly and helpful staff at check in. Room was bare bones, single camp style bed, not sure the hvac worked. No tv but not missed
A lot of outside noise until late, good breakfast but one needs to be quick (out of scrambled eggs within 10 mins.
Parking and road works horrendous, Uber a rip off.
- Jiří (10/5): -
- Sally (9/5): Great location with comfortable accommodation and a very warm welcome. - The location was excellent, staff were helpful and very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with lots of choice. The chairs in the room were quite uncomfortable, and the bathroom was small. The shower head had recently been replaced but didn’t fit into its holder, so had to be hand held.
- william (10/5): Great hidden place with lots of history - Ideally placed. All staff very friendly, good choice of breakfast and much cheaper than any hotel nearby.
Quiet room at the back away from Oxford too
- Ole Martin (10/5): - Important to understand that this isn't a regular hotel, but a college renting out some of their available accomodation. My room was in a modern annex, a little ascetic in appearance but has everything you need. The college is very pretty and heavy with history. Everything seems well kept with a wonderful garden and lots of open space. Breakfast is in the main hall, with a full english buffet and the classic long tables. The lodge is manned 24/7 and everyone there were very helpful. Got some flashbacks from my own university days.
- Mandy (10/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): - Everything
- Arthur (7/5): Beautiful location but the room was more like a student room, winch items probably was. - It is a beautiful location. The breakfast room was amazing and the breakfast top No shampoo, no shower soap. Only a little handwash soap. I had to buy these things in a shop for the two nights i was in Oxford. Never had this before. Also the room and towels were not cleaned and i could not change the heat of the shower because it was stuck.
- Mitsuya (10/5): - Near to the central part of Oxford. Good meal and nice people
- Stephen (9/5): -
- Caleb (10/5): - Could've used a fan in the room.
- Brenda (10/5): I'll definitely be back - Rated as a college room: Super-clean, bright room in a modern bldg. Big bathroom with double shower, mini-fridge was very handy and liked being able to control lights by bed. Fantastic location, great security, in an attractive college with an interesting mix of modern and old buildings on the grounds. Tea trays are such a nice touch. Housekeeping is excellent. One niggling thing, trying to hang things up was a little hard for someone 5' 3".
- Peter (10/5): Harry Potter Breakfast Realness - Amazing value. You share a bathroom but stay in an Oxford College! Wow.
- Clive (10/5): - College security
Breakfast in Hall
So much more ....

- Eva von Pepel (1/5): So disappointing and misleading - The dining hall where breakfast was served was quite impressive I was so looking forward to (as described) a unique stay in a spacious room overlooking the university in a historical Oxford building. Imagine my profound disappointment, frustration, and even shock at being assigned to a motel-style, tiny room in a modern annex. The viewless room faced a neighboring building's wall some 20 feet away and included a single, camping-style bed that was too small for a petite woman like myself, let alone a "full-size" man. On a positive note, my bed did not squeak and keep me awake during the night, as my breakfast companion's bed in another room did.
Additionally, the room was lacking a bedside table, USB ports, and any outlets other than the standard UK ones. There was also no cell service, and the Wi-Fi required annoying reconnection every couple of hours before shutting down completely 15 minutes before checkout.
Furthermore, the breakfast service ended at 9:15 a.m., with checkout expected at 10 a.m. and check-in at 4 p.m. As there is no lobby or other facility to accommodate guests "in-waiting," visitors are effectively thrown out onto the street at the check-out time. While it was possible to store luggage for a short time, this did little to mitigate the inconvenience.
I also found the checking-in/out staff, although polite, not very friendly.
My experience of the Wadham College Hotel has proven to be nothing short of a travesty, if not an outright deception—and an expensive one at that.
Jammer !
- Lauren (9/5): - A bit of stale air, the room could use a fan
- Mason (10/5): Everything was brilliant, I'll be back. - The location was excellent, the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent Next time I'll book a double room with private entrance suite, but what I booked was excellent value
- Sofia I.Ioannidou (10/5): - Amazing venue! The room was clean, nice and spacious. Breakfast offered with a wide variety of food. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is just perfect for a walk around the city centre. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
- Constanze (5/5): - Das Frühstück war nicht lecker. Aber der Kaffee war gut.
- Ian (8/5): -
- Ann (10/5): A very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend - Lovely setting, excellent breakfast and extremely helpful porters at the Lodge Nothing
- christine (9/5): -
Inga hygienprodukter. Inga glas.
Inte prisvärt.
- Josie (7/5): Good value for Oxford and the vegetarian choice at breakfast was good - Clean and secure Bed was too short for a tall person
- dascyl (9/5): - The atmosphere was great. Campus was beautiful and breakfast in the dining hall was too notch The mattress of the bed could be refitted
- Linda (9/5): Fabulous. - An oxford college Nothing it was great
- Guest (8/5): - Nice breakfast in the historical refectory, the bed was comfy but the furniture and room structure were pretty ugly and old. Lovely courtyards and historical structure. Great accommodations for student, much less so for tourists. Highly overpriced for a single bedroom with common toilets and showers. The shower was one floor up with respect to my room so you need to walk in a bathrobe through the corridors and stairs.

- Margaret (9/5): Very convenient for centre - Location and breakfast good. Enjoyed the history of the building Size of room
- Janet (8/5): -
- Dave (10/5): Stay at Wadham University, Oxford. - Room and location, it was ideal. Beautiful gardens to sit down in with a cup of tea.
FAB. Nought
- Frank (7/5): -
- Christine (10/5): Lovely historic place to stay, and good value for money. - Wadham College was a lovely place to stay, with a green and gardens, as well as a beautiful historic Hall where breakfasts were served. Because I mentioned in advance I had some mobility problems, I was given a modern, disability room that was quiet and very comfortable. And all staff were friendly and helpful.
Wadham College was also a short walk to some historic sites. There was nothing about the College I didn’t like, or felt needed improving.

- chritong (10/5): - The room was clean and equipped with everything I needed for my short stay and more! It is excellent design for student quarters and could imagine myself spending much longer there had I the opportunity. The staff is lovely, the campus location beautiful and within reach of everything in the center of the city.
I also applaud the use of biodegradable and plasticless sheet soap and shampoo, as well as the bins for waste separation inside the room. It was a pleasant and welcome indicator that management is green-aware.
- Marisa (8/5): - Location and breakfast Bathroom and soap/shampoo
A bit too expensive
- Peter (9/5): -
- Vanessa (9/5): -
- Antoinette (8/5): -
- Penny (10/5): - Easy checking. Very convenient location. Beautiful venue and the rooms were comfortable and clean.
- Jill (3/5): Tolerable for a short stay - Good location, good breakfast Extremely austere, very spartan room with uncomfortable plastic furnishings. Really uncomfortable bed. Very noisy all night, which appeared to be plumbing rather than people making noise
- James (10/5): -
- Jacqueline Anne (10/5): -
- Rachel (9/5): Make sure you have the breakfast - The breakfast, the views, the architecture, accommodating staff
- Faith (10/5): -
- justine (7/5): Great building and location but too expensive for the room itself - Great building, breakfast and breakfast room Room was very basic, bathroom not very clean. Very expensive for this room.
- William (9/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Quiet and relaxing
- Edward (8/5): An extraordinary experience - Fabulous location and breakfast in the Great Hall was extraordinary
- Ann Elizabeth (8/5): - If you're looking for a taste of the history, staying at Wadham College can fulfill your dreams. Established in 1610, Wadham is smack dab in the historic center of the city. The old quad, the dining hall and the gardens are evocative of a long gone era
The experience today in the 21st century .... an accommodation, albeit very basic, that is impeccably clean and comfortable.
The atmosphere -- very quiet and very safe.
I hope to return. Nothing that I can think of.
- Sam (10/5): -
- GIOVANNA (5/5): -
- Sevgi (10/5): - History of the place
- Michael Wagner (10/5): -
- Richard (8/5): Nice to stay in an oxford college but overpriced - It's lovely to stay in an oxford college and have a walk around the quad and the gardens. It was clearly a student room at a top flight of steep wooden stairs which was very hard to negotiate with a large suitcase. The breakfast was somewhat basic
- Adrian (5/5): Basic, clean, simple and convenient and a glimpse into college life. - Location, buildings and setting, Bed was a bit small, no extra covers for warmth
Couldn’t control room temperature
No info about fire escapes etc
No obvious facility for relaxing in eg lounge
No information in room
No phone number for possible requests or problems
Non information about opening windows
No porridge available (I think)
- Celia (10/5): Confortable - Sitio tranquilo y confortable todo okey
- asymair (9/5): Bed and breakfast for a reasonable price in the centre of Oxford - On arrival I was told breakfast would be a buffet. I was delighted when a Full English was served in the morning. Very minor grumble - no hooks for coat and dressing gown.
- Sean (8/5): -
- Ekin (9/5): Very good - Perfect location, very helpful lovely staff, very clean room The bed wasn't super comfortable but still ok
- Birgit (8/5): -
- Marie (10/5): Séjour atypique ! -
- McMullan (10/5): Awesome college life flashback - great setting. - College vibe was great - buzzing with visiting students and very friendly. Breakfast was exactly what I expected - very standard british fried breakfast served in breathtaking hall. Shared toilet and shower is always a bit disappointing
- Fani (1/5): -
- Grace (3/5): - Very loud when shared toilets were flushed. Room was too cold. Not as scenic as I’d pictured!
- Lauren (9/5): Friendly and welcoming stay at the heart of Oxford. - Absolutely loved the College, beautiful grounds and buildings, so close to the centre of Oxford. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. I felt so comfortable staying at the College. The room was very simple, but clean and comfortable.
- Karin (1/5): If you lead a life if asceticism then this would be a suitable experience. I had to check out after an hour or two. - The entrance to the accommodation was stunning. Think Endeavour style traditional Oxford University setting. The staff are excellent and there is a 24 hour reception. The room was pristine. My main issue was that there was no toilet or shower facility in the room. This was a shared facility outside of the room and down some stairs. There was no television in the room. No WiFi in the room. There was a tiny sink to wash. The bed was tiny and wobbly. This truly was a student room and as such suitable for under 25’s only.
- Secservices123 (9/5): - A wonderful experience in a 400 year-old historic building made with modern comforts The door to the room did not lock from the inside and then bathroom shared on another flloor but there was a sink in a cupboard!
Ottima posizione centrale Nulla
Purtroppo non credo abbiano sistemazioni per coppie
