- Niall (10/5): -
- Sylvia (10/5): Lovely cottage with great views, very cosy. - A perfect place... The cottage is very cosy and fully equipped with everything a normal guest could need, the bed is really cosy, the bathroom is also new and modern, everything is clean, and there are some extras. The view from the windows, looking at the bay, Knocknarea and the garden (and some seals and lots of birds), is picturesque and always amazing. The host, Sarah, is very attentive and friendly without being obtrusive, and does her best to make this place so special, with fresh flowers and other little, nice and personal details. I enjoyed my stay and would love to come back again. It's a little gem in rural Sligo! :-)
Host cordiale e gentile.

- Emer (10/5): Perfect:) - The location is idyllic - the view are absolutely stunning - you could spend the whole weekend on the sofa looking out that picture frame window:)
- Suzan (10/5): Excellent cottage in a little bit of paradise with a generous host - Very comfortable cottage, with a well equipped kitchen, very stylish contemporary furniture and the location is amazing and wonderfully peaceful. We enjoyed the setting so much we gave up on busy restaurants and ate sitting out on the decking three nights of our four night stay. We enjoyed watching the seals and hearing them sing, a great experience. This is a very special place with a considerate and generous host. I always want bigger towels. It would be wise to take binoculars.
- Jeremy (10/5): Fabulous views from a wonderfully kept property and hosted by a wonderful person. Who could ask for more? - Wonderful location, fabulous views, tranquil setting and Sarah was a kind and most helpful host.
- Xxx (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning location, it took my breath away. A small slice of heaven
- Myrthe (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely cottage in an absolutely stunning location. Big windows with a view over the bay and the hills behind, we could've simply sat on the couch for hours watching the view. A lot of birds and flowers in the garden, and with the right wind you could hear the seals singing in the bay. Very friendly host who was there to greet us when we arrived, some very tasty welcome biscuits, and a good tip to see live music nearby. We definitely could've stayed much longer.
- Zuzanna (10/5): Gorgeous getaway - Cosy, comfy and clean cottage. Host was lovely. The view from the windows is stunning. Lots of gorgeous places to explore within driving distance. Also super cute kitty that walks around 🙂
- Ian (10/5): Nice set up, very quiet and Sarah was very friendly as was the cat :-) - Really welcoming host - showed us in detail how all the appliances work Everything was good
- Kathleen (10/5): Absolutely wonderful. Can’t wait to visit again! - Location, view, cottage design and furnishings, quiet location, Sarah’s kindness and hospitality.
The little touches like flowers in the window, egg cups, a radio set to classical music, cookies in the tin, detailed directions, help finding good hiking…
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional - Thoroughly enjoyable stay, the cottage was so comfortable and welcoming.
Sarah was the most lovely host and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our visit.
The cottage is spotlessly clean , with a super comfortable bed , Kitchen/Living area has everything you need,The cottage had really lovely homely touches, from homemade snacks,a full bookcase, and wildflowers , The view however is the thing that will take your breath away, cannot wait to make a return visit in the future.
Thank you Sarah again for your hospitality.
- Webb (9/5): Superb - Brilliant. Beautiful view and facilities were wonderful.
- Patricia (10/5): Stunning Views and Exceptional Hospitality - We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this apartment!
The views were breathtaking – waking up to such stunning scenery each day was a real treat. The apartment itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. What made the experience even better was the host – Sarah was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always available to help with any questions or local tips. She went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay.
- Astrid (10/5): I will come back! - Wonderful view and very quiet.
- Lucia (10/5): The privilege of resting in one of the prettiest spots in Ireland. - Sarah is a fabulous host, the attention to detail was great, the view was unique and also… SEALS!!
The place is tidy and freshly renewed, it felt really peaceful and so pretty that it felt like an additional landmark during the vacation. It makes you never want to leave. The only downside is obviously the fact that the road to get there is quite rugged, but it comes with the secluted place I guess. It could be a cool addition if the cottage had a placeholder on Google Maps, so it’s easier to find!
- Caryle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Book Curlew Cottage for at least four nights. You could easily spend a day or two just watching the tide and the changi - Magnificent views of the inlet, birds, seals. So quiet and restful.
Cottage was tasteful with modern amenities without detracting from the cottage feel.
Sarah showed us around the cottage and left some provisions and home baked biscuits for us to enjoy.
Location was great for sights in and around Sligo. Would have loved to have a walking track to the shoreline but not sure if that would ever be possible.
- Marcella (10/5): Perfection - Everything!! I honestly haven't stayed anywhere nicer. Was beyond my expectation. The views, the seals chatting/playing, the walks, the homemade biscuits, the amazing super king bed, honestly I cannot fault it. Nothing!!
- Conor (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the cottage is incredible, with spectacular and ever changing views of Ballysadare bay.
Sarah was incredibly welcoming and even baked us some delicious cookies!
The location is very close to Sligo town and the surfing beaches of Dunmoran, Trá Buí, Aughris and Strandhill.
Would highly recommend and would come again.
- Ellen (10/5): 5* All Round - A hidden Little Gem 💎 with stunning views. So quiet and peaceful.
