- Cara (10/5): Lovely spacious room and friendly hosts - Easy to find and park. Lovely spacious room with a comfy double bed (albeit it was a bit too short for my 6'3" boyfriend!). Lovely bathroom. All very clean and tidy. Simple but varied breakfast options. Host was very kind and friendly. Would absolutely recommend!

It was a bit cold, and there were no instructions about how to use the thermostat. I had to call someone to help. Breakfast was continental only.

- Chris (9/5): - Easy access and we were informed that early access was available. Room was very comfortable and we had plenty of tea, coffee and bottles of water. Street noise but that was more down to the drivers than the double glazing.
- Tina (10/5): Fabulous place, book it now! - What can I say, but perfection. Perfect accommodation, perfect hosts, perfect location! Rooms are spotless and smelt lovely, comfy beds, so great nights sleep. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and toiletries provided. Delicious breakfast and plenty of it. Not far to walk into Cheddar, which was a fabulous place, not only for the stunning gorge and caves, but for the shops, restaurants etc. Finally, our hosts were exceptional. Nothing too much trouble and put up with us, after having a little mishap, fantastic people. We will definitely be back, loved it. Thank you. Book here, you won't be disappointed, great for walkers, explorers or people like us! Absolutely nothing.

Bedroom modern with informative welcome folder and assortment of biscuit and drink options. Bathroom clean, modern and nice complimentary toiletries. We had the family room with pull out sofa bed which made the room a little cramped, but manageable. Nice breakfast. My partner found the bed very uncomfortable and unsupportive. The room was very hot as windows get the afternoon and evening sun, a small desk fan was provided but wasn't sufficient. Rather thick duvets were provided on the beds which we took out and just used the duvet covers. Thinner, summer duvet options needed. Towels were clean but didn’t smell fresh. Had a stale damp smell to them, more so when wet.

The hosts made us feel welcome, and they were very accommodating to a dietary requirement, going above and beyond what was requested, which was much appreciated.

- Anonymous (9/5): A great place to stay - I was very pleased with the accommodation. It had a very modern feel to it and had been decorated to a very high standard. It was easy to find and parking was great. I enjoyed the little personal touches, like providing bottled water and biscuits in our room, along with tea & coffee making facilities. There was the opportunity to use a guest kitchen, which we didn't use, but a great feature to have if you don't want to eat out. The continental breakfast was very good, with a selection of fruit, cereals, breads & croissants, and the coffee machine in the dining room does a fantastic cappuccino! The temperature in the room was very hot, due to it being one of the hottest days of the year. There was a small fan provided in the room but it wasn't enough to keep us cool. We had the windows open through the night but there was quite a lot of traffic driving past at high speeds, which kept me awake - not the fault of the accommodation, but something to consider in hot weather. Perhaps a room at the back would be quieter, or take ear plugs!

It's difficult to find fault as the whole place is immaculately presented and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, with good tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary biscuits, bottled water etc. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I would recommend without hesitation.

- Patricia (1/5): Miserable sleepless night, unhelpful host - My room was at the front of the Property and the road noise was constant and dreadful. Lots of trucks and farm machinery. The noise continued well into the night ! It was a warm day but impossible to have a window open, which made the room stuffy and airless. There was a small desk fan that helped a little. As soon as I entered the room and heard the noise I asked Margaret if there was another room I could use - she replied No the other rooms have already been made up for guests arriving tomorrow ! I asked if there was a garden to sit in No !

Clean and modern rooms with breakfast provided. Air conditioning would have helped only because it was a very hot day in June. It would have been even better if we had fresh fruit we could have for breakfast.

Continental breakfast was great with fresh fruit and croissants. Location was perfect. I honestly could not fault this facility and I do travel the UK and globally. Everything was on point!

- Steph (10/5): Lovely place to stay for a visit to Cheddar - We had a brief but great stay at Wassells House. The room was exactly as expected and the complimentary breakfast was a great addition. It was easy to access when we arrived via key safe and the owners communication was great. It is very well located for the walk around the reservoir and an easy 20 minute walk to the gorge. There was nothing we didn’t like! It was great 😊

- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely clean room finished to a high quality. It is next to a main road but the windows keep the noise out and it isn't busy at night. There are nice views out if the window. There is complementary cereal and yoghurt provided in the kitchen. We paid extra and went for the cooked breakfast which was very good and well worth paying for.

- Soulman1962 (10/5): Fantastic accommodation and owners - We loved everything about this newly refurbished boutique guest house, especially the owners who were so welcoming and helpful. Everything was like brand new. The modern décor, furnishings and fittings, the impressive stair handrail and the shared kitchen. Our bedroom was immaculately clean with a relaxing theme and fresh bedding and towels. The bathroom was very new and modern with all of the facilities you need including shampoo, shower gel, extractor fan, glass paneled shower, very well lit bathroom mirror and shelving for toiletries and toiletry bags. The shared kitchen was spotless and, included within the room price, was boxed cereals, fresh milk, bread, margarine, butter, jams, tea and coffee, sugar, sweeteners and hot chocolate. There was a very well stocked fridge with room for anything you may want to put in the fridge. Plenty of brand new mugs, glasses, plates, bowls, cutlery and cooking utensils. A lovely home from home which was a short walk from all of the shops, pubs and restaurants. There was ample parking in front of the house with very well marked parking bays. The key lockers were individually assigned to each room and the Bookin.com messages confirmed the key locker code and made the whole process very easy. I cannot recommend Wassells House highly enough and would say that it is easily the best accommodation in the area at a great price. FANTASTIC !! There was nothing to dislike. Amazing accommodation at a great price.

- San (10/5): One of the best accomodation we have stayed. - Everything. we were visiting Cheddar and the location of the property is perfect for us. It is modernised to a very high standard. the rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious and very well sound proof (our children were very excited!). The host are very thoughtful by providing milk, juice and cereals as part of the stay.

The noise from the road ( which I understand is unavoidable) I would have liked a magnified mirror to put makeup on in the bathroom. An alternative to white bread would have been nice.
- Frances (10/5): A perfect and easy stay in Cheddar. - The host was really accommodating and even had a secure area for me to park my motorcycle. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and we really appreciated the kitchen along with the complimentary goods. The host was extremely thoughtful and the decor was neat and tidy and fresh. My friend and I walked into town for dinner and it was an easy walk that was much appreciated after our large dinner at the White Hart.

The hosts were really lovely. This was a return visit, and will certainly stay here again if the oppurtunity arises. Nothing really, if pushed maybe the shower towels could have been bigger, but that's really not that important to me and they were plenty sufficient.

A lovely touch was the little kitchen with complementary cereals, yoghurts etc. Our room backed on to a lovely garden with a beautiful koi pond and the sound of the waterfall really helped us to drift off to sleep! You will not be disappointed when you stay here! Nothing to dislike!
- Naomi (10/5): Perfect! - We only stayed for 1 night but it was perfect. Super clean!! Comfy bed. The added touch of a VERY CLEAN communal kitchen with drinks, cereal and milk, at no extra cost. And space to make basic food for your self. We didn't need to use this space but was great to have an orange juice in the morning as we hadn't booked breakfast as we were meeting friends. Mags was very helpful and friendly. We will definately stay here again.

Kitchen with complimentary toast & cereal etc next door and a tea/coffee station in the room - we really couldn’t ask for more. We had a really good night’s sleep. My partner was especially happy to find his favourite (flat!) type of pillows, as he usually complains that typical pillows are too big. PS watching the big and colourful fish in the pond just outside was very relaxing and entertaining! Nothing to dislike!

Not too far from town, but walking maybe tricky with traffic I.e. no pavement.Lovely owner who provides useful information right from booking. The TV could be on a swing bracket

Toiletries were provided, as well as a tea / coffee making station in the room. Very pleased with my stay here Nothing I didn't like at all. My only thing that could have made it a little better would be a small fridge in the room so I could keep my drinks and food cool without nipping to the shared kitchen, but it really wasn't much of an issue at all
