Guest Reviews
- Diane (9/5): We had a great stay! - Great location! Living room was a bit dark
- Callum Irvine (10/5): -
- Martti (10/5): Really nice place for a small family, short drive to the seaside. - Stable cottage is a really cozy place to book if you're planning a vacation in Cornwall. We were having a vacation at the end of February. It's located in a nice small village, it was nice and quiet with a nice local store and some food options. The cottage itself is a real gem, you can spend nice relaxed evenings in the livingroom with fire place and good sized TV. Internet connection was great, really happy with that also.
It is a very old place with history, keeping that in mind, it's a superb place. Would love to come back next time for a longer period.
- Dariusz (10/5): My partner and I love the area, we've been there many times and we'll come back again - very cozy Cottages for two living room and fireplace
- Michael (6/5): Great base for exploring area if travelling light. - Lovely bed and central location. Enclosed courtyard garden for dog was great. Really helpful info pack from hosts suggesting walks and places to eat and prompt communication when asking questions. Quite small accommodation without any wardrobe space or rails to hang clothes or wetsuits. Limited kitchen area with table and chairs not practical for the space. Difficult to lift suitcases up/down steep stairs. Sofa played havoc with old back problem.
- Sophie Steed (8/5): - The cottage was well equipped, cozy and in a great location. The stairs were more like a ladder, people with poor mobility could struggle.
- Veronica (6/5): Great for a short stay to see the sights in the area. The upstairs could be a challenge for some. - It was clean and the hosts left lots of food treats that were local items There was no mention of the ladder to get to the upper floor. It was very hard for me to get up and down and I may not have this place had I known that it was so steep. Also, the furniture in the lounge was uncomfortable as the cushions would not stay on the couch and we would have to get up and push them back after sitting for 15 minutes or so. The bed in the main room had a mattress topper on it that didn't seem to fit and my husband and I both felt like we were falling off because it created an edge that when we were asleep made us feel like it was the edge of the bed. And the chairs in the kitchen didn't really fit the table and you couldn't get two people sitting next to each other to be able to get under the table, one of us had to sit back a bit. We also had a problem with being very cold in the lounge. There were no radiators in there and there was no wood for the fire because it was out of season. They provided games and lots of local treats like scones and jams. It was also very clean. For most people, it would be perfectly fine, we just found that it didn't quite match our needs.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (8/5): Very good -
- Leandra (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, beautiful cottage with everything you need for a relax break. Does have all the facilities you need, Comfortable and clean beds. Very close to lovely beaches and villages.
Communication was superb, all information you would need. Absolutely amazing.
- David (10/5): Lovely, very cosy and comfortable with excellent hosts. - The heating and hot water system was very good. The welcome goodies were a lovely touch. Lighting in the lounge at the kitchen end could have been a little brighter.
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Lovely cosy cottage- just right for 2 adults. Made a good base to explore surrounding area. Bathroom was downstairs
Stairs were extremely steep and not suitable for young children/older adults.
- Sean (10/5): Perfect cottage to explore Cornwall - The property was beautiful, the lounge was very relaxing and homely feeling plus the outside space was perfect for an evening drink and space for our dog to walk around. The property was perfect, there is nothing to not like about this place.
