- pa (10/5): - This is an amazing family run business. Every thing was effortless and Hazel and her amazing team were so helpful. They are in the middle of renovations atm and you wouldn't know. Every where was clean , fresh and just felt so comfortable. They were also so helpful with directions to an event we were attending and recommended lovely bars and restaurants throughout our stay. I would definitely stay again 100%. Thanks again for making our stay in kilkenny that bit more memorable. Kind regards
Pa. N/A Every thing was perfect

Very basic accommodation
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Lanigan (1/5): Horrendous - Nothing e Everything
- Dj (1/5): Bad - Location in town centre Mice ran across our feet when we arrived inside the building. Waiting for someone to turn up to let us into room. Bags were moved to another room without telling us. Now hot water in showers. Kept being asked to pay for the stay when it was already paid on booking.com. Just stayed in another hotel for the two nights.
- Donal (1/5): The room in the picture is not in the hotel - Location The cold and the cold water
- Mikey (1/5): -
- David (1/5): -
- Jonathan (4/5): - Convenient location Mould growing on window sill. Tiny toilet and shower. Smell of damp and mould in property

Værelse ikke rent nok
Ingen forplejning
- Vivienne (1/5): - Nothing Card for door did not work and they couldn't get me a replacement so I couldn't leave the place until check out. Very cold room. Fire alarm went off on the middle of the night and couldn't reach anyone to fix it
- Leegraham82 (1/5): -
- Ruairi (2/5): Cesspit, avoid - Location. Clean sheets. As per other reviews I can confirm this place should be avoided at all costs. There was no hot water. The bed was slanted and impossible to get comfortable on. The fire alarm went off at three or four in the morning for over an hour. On the second night the door was hammered and kicked by some drunken fool looking for "Bugsy". Zero security, women should absolutely avoid. The keys stopped working on the second day for everyone and we had to wait for someone to drop off new keys. Booked a double but got a twin instead. For the price (175 euro a night) you should at least expect a safe, quiet night's sleep. A cesspit.
- Conor (1/5): -
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Gerard (1/5): Place is an absolute DUMP - It is not a hotel with staff. Just a random door on a street that leads you into stairs with multiple hotel style rooms. Somebody just comes with a key to give you access to a room and the main door and that’s it. The building is falling apart and lob sided. There were even mushrooms growing out of the corners in the hall way on the top floor. Absolutely shocking place to stay. Paid €300 for one night. Shocking stuff. RIP OFF Everything
- Mike (7/5): Good -
- Dunne (4/5): Great location but be prepared for cold showers - Great location. No hot water, cold shower for the duration of our stay.
- Shauna (4/5): Disappointing - Very dusty and the shower didn’t work
- Ciaran (1/5): Avoid unless absolutely stuck. - From the outside it was unorganised when we landed, no cards ready for us and they didn't really know where we were staying either. You wouldn't want to be checking in in a rush anyway. One bed was completely broken sank into it when in it. First night room was freezing it was actually warmer outside. Woke up Saturday morning and tried to take a shower it was stone cold. So messaged the owner asking him if we would get a bit of hot water for a shower. Came back a few hours later the rad was hot to be fair so took a hot shower for 2mins before it went cold again. Kept doing this.
Second night.
Fire alarm kept going off, then as other guests came home from their night out it was like they were in the room the walls are so thin. One of the lads left to sleep in his car for comfort and quietness. There's a green led in the emergency light in the room that lights up the room too.
So basically if you're staying here make sure you are legless drunk coming home.
- Paul (4/5): Disappointing -
- Donnchadh (3/5): Poor -
- Jen (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sophie (3/5): i didnt stay the night - the location of the hotel i had 2 very drunk men banging on my door after 2am and didnt end up staying the night

- Cody (4/5): Disappointing -
- O (6/5): Pleasant - Location was perfect room was a decent size. No hot water for a shower
- Laura (6/5): Pleasant - The location and it was reasonably priced. The tiles in the bathroom weren't secured properly. The bathroom door wouldn't close. No warm water.
- Alan (2/5): Very poor -
- Kelly (5/5): Passable -
- Diane (7/5): Good -
- Mela (1/5): Bad - DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!!!! We booked 4 hours in advance and were waiting for a confirmation message with a PIN code for the box containing a key/card which never came. We made our way to the hotel regardless and upon arrival we realised we had no way of entering the property since there was no one even in the building (no staff or guests) the building was completely in dark. We waited outside and rang their phone at least 10 times with no luck. Stressed and cold, we had to stay in an other hotel nearby and spend more money. We got our refund from Booking.com at least.
- Killeen (3/5): Would not go back - Location was good The lack of cleanliness around the “hotel”. The staff were very bad at their jobs this included waiting 40 mins to get back into our room as they decided to check us out even though we had another nights stay
- Jean (5/5): Passable - Location was good, beds were comfortable. Service was dreadful, bathrooms were fithy.
- Brian (5/5): Passable -
- Rachel (5/5): Passable - Location Cold
- Dennis (1/5): Finding it was very hard the staff where lovely but it wasn’t clean and it was freezing and we had no hot water to have - It location No heating on the night and no hot water
- Jane (1/5): Bad - So so cold and not what the photos show
- Larry (1/5): Load of Bo**ox - Closeness to the city centre We stayed in bedroom no.5 The bedroom had four beds or which 3 bed bases were covered in stains , there was a closed curtain in the room covering am bricked up window , the room had nothing good to offer and did not match the images displayed on booking.com
- Bryan (2/5): Very poor - Not much Four star price for 1 star hotel
- Kevin (4/5): Disappointing -
- Edward (3/5): Poor -
- Normoyle (1/5): Bad -
- Lfc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (5/5): value for money - good location not very clean
- Sean (5/5): Passable -
- Courtney (6/5): Pleasant -
- Paul (1/5): No running water - I am not sure what I can say. location is good. I didn't know if it was a homeless shelter or some tax dodging scam, but never stayed in accomodation at the price they charge, where you had to go to a local cafe to use a toilet, no running water, the street facade of the building is all blacked out like a derelict premises and open electric wires hanging off the ceiling in the room. The lady receiving the unwittingly scammed customer is quite pleasant and helpful, undoubtedly hired by a shameless owner who probably is afraid to step in front of any customer and continue with the scam from afar.
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geraldine (1/5): I’ve stayed in many many hotels and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had - The worst 3 star hotel as described by booking.com it would be an insult to hostels to call it one Everything
- Joe (1/5): Bad - N/a
- Philip (1/5): Bad -
- Zara (1/5): Bad - Absolutely shocking! Window in room was boared up with wood, as the window had been broken.
The bath tub was filthy. One of the beds was literally broken in half. Where the mattresses kept falling down. The mattress was mouldy. We got 7 beds. One bed was in a separate little tiny room.
The bed frames was leather which were all torn.
No one to speak to unless ring.
Someone had also destroyed the hall ways with poo. On one around to clean it up
- Ann-marie (3/5): Poor -
- Samantha (10/5): Very central - Location was brilliant, right in the city N/A
- Crowley (4/5): Disappointing - No Breakfast provided No bath/shower towels
No remote for tv
Only light quilt on bed
Only 2 flat pillows
- Faustina (8/5): Very good - Reception staff were lovely at timr of check in and check out. Location is so central.
- Lisa (1/5): Bad -
- Saoirse (10/5): Exceptional - Everything it was all exceptional I have nothing bad to say about this place
- Louise (4/5): Disappointing - Staff were very accommodating and friendly. We booked a twin room as a double was only available. I rang to ask push the beds together prior to arrival and the staff suggested moving us to their sister hotel which had a double. Very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Noise was the biggest failing for our visit. We were above the onsite pub which stayed going until 4am/5am with music. Then started again with music blearing for breakfast at 8am. Didn't sleep at all.
- Luke (7/5): Good -
- Noel (8/5): Very good - Found the room to quite When we flush the toilet it made very loud noise
- Jerry (8/5): Very good -
- Fiona (1/5): Cold, damp beds, no lighting in corridor - This premises should not be listed as a 3 star it was a disgrace Everything
- Megan (5/5): Passable -
- Paul (3/5): Poor . - Good location in the city. There was no kettle in the room couldn't make a hot drink, no waste paper bin either also the shower didn't work (just cold ) and the shower room was a tiny space.
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Traveller (2/5): Avoid this place unless you are desperate - Location Towels not clean and toilet made very loud noise when flushed
- Suzanne (1/5): Bad -
- Darren (7/5): Good -
- Cathal (1/5): Location is this place's only attribute - Room key not available when checking in as someone else had taken it. Then had to share a room with strangers as they wouldnt leave our room. Then lads tried to bate the door in during the night as they couldnt get into their room. Staff were not bothered
- Ciaran (2/5): If your literally dropping your bag and arriving back to the room at 3am in the morning , it’s barely acceptable to stay - Location It’s was filthy dirty , the mattress you could see where black
No staff
Keys for rooms not working
Smell of mould
- Brendan (3/5): Poor -
- Toby (2/5): Very poor - None of the rooms had sheets. They were very dirty keys weren’t ready on arrival wasn’t sent a code to get in or any instructions
- Donal (3/5): Poor - Staff nice Room didn't even have blinds. Very basic accommodation. Avoid if possible
- Shane (2/5): ideal ..... for a stag - location "hotel"
- Alexandru (7/5): Clean, and convenient location for an place to rest after a night out. - We booked last minute, as in the same day, a few hours ahead of arriving. So, we did not expect much. They have a clean bed to rest after a night out in Kilkenny. It's basic , so don't expect too much. For 150 euro a night, you get to rest and take a shower. Better than under a bridge.
- Daniel (7/5): Location, comfortable and clean - Super easy check in. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. The location is fantastic. Checkout time (12pm) is later than a lot of places now which seem to be 10pm which was great.
- David (1/5): Bad -
- Dee (1/5): Terrible - Disgusting place in every way. Do not stay here! It was filthy, tiny and not even a kettle to make a cup of tea!

- Ciarán (5/5): Passable -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were so nice and very helpful.
I would highly recommend them and would definitely rebook with them.
- Andrew (2/5): Could have been a lot better. - Location Bathroom wasn’t clean, looked like there was sick in the toilet when we arrived and dried sick on the floor. There was also hair in the bathroom and the rooms floor was dirty.
