• Langton (10/5): Fabulous hoteliers - Lynn and Wayne are lovely, kind and friendly hoteliers, who went above and beyond for myself and my husband when we stayed at Sherwood lodge. They both went out of their way to accommodate our every need and the breakfast was amazing! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. There was a slight damp smell, but this was clearly due to the building NOT the accommodation itself, but otherwise it was great 👍

• Claire (9/5): - Wayne and Lynn were fantastic hosts. Sherwood Lodge is perfectly situated near the beach and there were lots of options for breakfast. A really friendly and comfortable stay.

• Paul (9/5): - The owners were lovely people, and we had some great conversations about several things. There is a car park for 6 cars, but we used the road outside as there was a space there. We opted for breakfast which we requested the morning after and was worth the price. Comfy beds and slept well, despite the heat as it was a hot evening. Towels, a fan and toiletries supplied. We stayed on the top floor, which has some steep stairs, but that was listed in the description of the booking, and was no problem to myself or my young lad. A really homely place with lovely hosts.
• Colin (10/5): SHERWOOD LODGE - Exceptional stay in Sherwood Lodge, the accommodation is very clean and comfortable, only a 5 minute walk from the Clock Tower and it even had parking for a few cars. Our hosts made us very welcome and provided an excellent cooked breakfast. We can highly recommend this place and we look forward to staying again. Nothing

The bed was so comfy, I slept better here than a £400 stay at Premier Inn . Next time which will be happening I'd like a bigger room but it was last minute booking with not much options available .
• John (7/5): Comfortable hotel a short distance from the town centre. - The accommodation was exactly what you would expect from a typical bed & breakfast. Breakfast was standard full english, which could be altered to suit your own taste. The hotel was a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of town. The owners were very friendly. Nothing worth mentioning.
• Scrimgeour (3/5): Creepy halfway house vibe. - Nothing at all. Hosts were a little in our face. Couldn’t walk outside room without people interfering. Had a very creepy vibe. Like a half way house. Not proper accommodation. Was worse than a hostel.

What sealed the deal was,We was on the 2nd Floor and Wayne left us a seat outside the room just incase we was exhausted from stairs

• Barry (9/5): Very much enjoyed my stay - it was relaxed and hassle free - Our hosts were fabulosly friendly and accommodating - not overbearing or intrusive but helpful and available and willing to help out to meet what I needed not much really - pretty well matched my expectations and completely matched my needs - well located - near to evening entertainment but not too close

• Jamie (1/5): Bed missing from bed and breakfast - The hosts were inviting when we turned up, the location was convient and having parking onsite was a plus. The site was clean and stocked with toiletries and such. Other guests were quiet when arriving late and for a very warm day the room was still a good temperature. After quickly checking in to drop bags earlier in the afternoon we returned to the property to sleep at 11:40pm to find that one side of the bed was broken and made the bed unsafe to sleep in. We tried to contact the hosts but received no reply until after we had left the property (despite telling them about the bed when we left they had no comment). Due to our car being blocked in by another vehicle who parked in the centre of the car park we could not leave so ended up sleeping on the floor of the room. When we mentioned this to booking.com Sherwood blamed us for being ‘big people’ despite us having no opportunity to even get into the bed. They did argue that the room should be for one person despite the fact we had informed them we were two people and they had no issue with this upon booking. Had the issue been resolved, we would have moved on as issues can happen from time to time but the handling of the situation felt very poor. A refund was given for the night due to booking.coms intervention but was not offered by the hotel initially.

The finish of the decor needed attention to detail too. The room felt cluttered with too much furniture. We normally search accommodation on booking.com with high ratings and were surprised by this property being rated so highly.

We felt so very welcome from the moment we arrived and Lynne and Wayne were able to accommodate an extra person for me, which I was so grateful for. Parking on site and short walk to the sea front.
