• Theresa (9/5): Peaceful location - very happy return guests. - Return guest and for good reason. The property is well appointed and in a lovely location only 10 minutes drive outside the Bathurst CBD. We love sitting on the deck watching the kangaroos, cows, and birdlife. The property is well insulated and has a very effective split system reverse cycle system for heating so it's easy to stay warm as the temperature drops over night in Autumn. The location is particularly pretty in Autumn as well with the changing colours of the leaves. I think it was an oversight, but there were no toiletries in the bathroom in terms of soap, body wash or shampoo for the shower. There was handwash and moisturiser for the bathroom sink but no supplies for the shower.

• Maraweera (10/5): - It took me a while to write this review, but I simply couldn’t forget this place—and it would’ve been rude not to share how wonderful our stay was. We had an absolutely lovely experience. The host was very welcoming and even came by to say hello after we settled in, which made us feel right at home. The property offers stunning 360° views and complete privacy—perfect for a peaceful getaway. The living and sleeping arrangements were excellent, with a comfortable separate bedroom that made the stay even more relaxing. One of the highlights was the early mornings—if you wake up before sunrise, you’ll be treated to the sight of animals coming close to the property. There are also two very friendly horses nearby. With the owner’s permission, you can gently pat them—they’re incredibly calm and even come right up to the fence, lowering their heads for little ones to interact. Just be mindful that the fence is electric. Overall, one of the best places we’ve stayed. Highly recommend! Only downside, The host was too nice told us to stay till evening for free… and we still had to leave early 😅

• Keith (8/5): - Although a little out of town, 15 minutes, while staying there there was a feeling of freedom with animals, including kangaroos and dear, close by. Couldn't find the TV remote which could hav been a problem, so time for a game of cards which ultimately was much better.
• Darcy (10/5): - Great scenery to wake up to looking over the property a view into Bathurst. Easy parking, easy to find, remote feeling yet less than 15mins from town. The stay was very homely, wifi, couch, open kitchen & living. Highly recommend.

• Kassandra (10/5): Relaxing, private, comfortable, great place to get away and reset! - We loved everything about the property, not far from Bathurst, beautiful view, the wildlife was amazing, we saw cockatoo’s, cows, mobs of Kangaroo’s and were even lucky enough to watch a herd of deer bounding through the property, right in front of the cottage, and what a beautifully decorated cottage, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The host was great, very accommodating easy to contact and kept our stay very private! A very relaxing place to get away from the hassle and bustle of the city!! We will definitely be returning. Nothing!!
• Tessa (10/5): Hidden gem. - The view, the birds, the animals and the rainbow. Also, the interior was lovely, really well designed and everything functioned perfectly. Very comfortable. Excellent heating too, which mattered because it was very cold while we were there!! Pillows were a bit musty. Maybe time for new ones.

• Rohit (10/5): Exceptional - Danara cottage offers a peaceful countryside retreat with breathtaking views. Cassie was a welcoming and helpful host, readily available to answer questions. Our kids enjoyed interacting with the friendly farm animals, including horses and a lovely dog, as well as seeing cows and kangaroos near the cottage. The well-maintained cottage had everything we needed, and we appreciate Cassie for making our stay memorable.

• Theresa (9/5): Perfect overnighter for our 2 day visit to the Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail. - Lovely little place not too far out of Bathurst but far enough to be peaceful and quiet with birdlife and kangaroos all around. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. Gorgeous views all around, especially from the main deck. A very minor point - to get 10/10 for cleanliness would need to get rid of cobwebs on internal light fittings and window sills. Didn’t bother me particularly but has meant I rated cleanliness as good rather than excellent. All the main places you expect cleanliness were very good!

It was modern, large, spotless and had everything we could possible need. Cassie greeted us on arrival and went through where everything was and how it worked. • Ched (9/5): If Peaceful Was a Cake, This Would Be a Slice - Charming cottage maximizing space with all amenities included, making it an ideal retreat for peace and tranquillity. Also, the Easter eggs were a nice touch. The only minor inconvenience was the fingerprint marks scattered across the TV screen, but considering everything, it was hardly worth mentioning.

• De (10/5): Just stunning!! - Cas was very welcoming when we finally arrived and it was quite late. The BNB was beautiful and the Australiana landscape was breathtaking .... Congratulations Cas. We will definitely be returning! It was a bit out of the way from Bathurst centre. Perhaps put in the bio that it's Mount Rankin not Eglinton.
