• Nancy (10/5): Lijiang star - This boutique hotel is located around the corner from the Mufu Palace...a excellent location in the Old Town. The room is large with a spacious and very comfortable bed, couch and sitting area. We also had access to a terrace. The bathroom facilities are great with a bidet toilet and super water pressure. In addition lovely toiletries are supplied. Towels are changed every day. Afternoon coffee or tea with typical rosepetal cookies are also provided. However wonderful the accommodations are, they pale by the attention and help Julia and Jeff provide for non- chinese guests. Julia helped organize our excursion to Jade Snow mountain and a car service to TLG and Shangrila. In addition, she personally took us to two excellent restaurants durring our stay. They also organized our luggage transfer to the hotel in Shangrila. Julia was available for any question or issue we had on Wechat.Their hospitality makes this place above a 10 point rating. Nothing
• Trust me I know (9/5): The best old time location and experience. - Ohh staying here made my whole Lijiang experience 10/10. Julia is such an exceptional host she helped me suggest places to go with locations. Also enjoyed the afternoon tea, and breakfast choices are good. The whole stuff is nice and very helpful. Cleanliness is top notch with everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect. Don't worry about noisy around 10 pm. The old town itself gets quiet, and the Mingsu is so peaceful all the time. Julia also helped organize the transport from and to the airport, don't worry about luggage and old town roads. nothing.

• Gladys (10/5): Amazing Local Support for Foreign Travellers - Julia is simply amazing and makes the planning of the trip so much easier. I will strongly recommend her to everyone who wants to do a self travel but yet still need local support. Like what the rest shared, Julia helped to plan for the car rides and the day trip to Snow Jade Mountain, giving us some peace in mind cos we knew we could depend on her. The driver to ShangriLa somehow did not take highway. After like 1 hour of travelling through small towns, I messaged Julia whilst still on the 3 hour ride and immediately, Julia sprang to action. The driver received a call and he re-routed to use highway instantly. What's amazing is that my family has already checked-out from Artistic Suite and Julia still continue to give us the local support! She even went the extra mile to ask for the toll refund on our behalf! Her service just blew my mind off! Not to forget front desk receptionist - Xiao Yang. She's another gem and makes sure my family is well taken care of during the trip. This review is in no way requested by Julia. I just want to express my gratitude to Julia for all her help. • Endika (10/5): Perfect stay - fell home - My stay in Lijiang on Artistic-Suite was perfect Even before arriving to Lijiang Julia reached out to me to give me instructions around the pick-up and to give tips around my stay During the stay the stuff made everything possible to make me feel like home - giving me constant advice, tips, where to eat, where to visit and helping me contact the tour guides I booked. They also were extremely kind and friendly with me Last but not least, the hotel is in a perfect location and is clean, beautiful and with lot of space Breakfast was great and the room was clean and big Would love to return Nothing to be honest, everything was amazing!
• Anne Stephanie Lise (9/5): Exceptional Hotel. - It's a beautiful old building in an exceptional location, just around Mufu Palace. Our room was big and very comfortable, with a great view of the courtyard, a great shower and a big and very comfy bed. The room, and the bed, are very well heated. The room was also quiet and with good curtains. The staff were over the top, extremely friendly and helpful, offering us tea whenever we came back (and when we first arrived, which was a very nice touch), in particular, Julia, who was always there for us for whatever we would need. We're very grateful to her and all the staff at the hotel. The breakfast could be better.

The inn is cozy and relaxing, w - The location is excellent—within a short walk from the Market Square and Mufu Palace, yet tucked away in a quiet area perfect for a restful sleep. The architecture has an authentic old Chinese charm, while the amenities offer all the modern comforts. Our hosts, Julia and Jeffrey, were outstanding and incredibly helpful. They speak excellent English and assisted us with everything—from arranging transportation and recommending great restaurants to suggesting must-see spots and even helping us navigate WeChat. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place! Nothing to dislike! Perfect in every way.

• Pavel (10/5): - Best service I have experienced. The staff was extremely helpful, they arranged a smooth pickup from the airport for me. As I was leaving early in the morning for a tour, a breakfast package was prepared for me in advance. Ms. Julia even helped me fix an issue with my SIM card by calling the operator. Since I wanted to practice my Chinese, they spoke the language with me patiently the whole time. The location is great and I loved the traditional wooden building, which made the experience even more authentic. 100% recommended.

La camera era molto spaziosa, pulita e immersa in un’atmosfera rilassante che richiama la tradizione locale con dettagli moderni estremamente confortevoli. La posizione è perfetta: centralissima nella Old Town ma tranquilla, ideale come base per visitare Lijiang senza rinunciare al relax. La colazione, alla carta, era buona ma avrei gradito una scelta internazionale più ampia. Un piccolo buffet, anche solo per alcune opzioni, potrebbe dare più flessibilità agli ospiti.

• Cadafia (10/5): An unforgettable stay in the heart of Lijiang - Our stay in Lijiang was truly memorable, largely thanks to our amazing host, Julia. She contacted me two months in advance to check if I needed anything and took care of every request. We were warmly welcomed with snacks, and throughout our stay she kept surprising us with thoughtful treats. She shared fantastic recommendations for restaurants, cafés, and photo spots, and even assisted us perfectly when it was time to leave. The room was excellent and the location could n’t have been better, right in the heart of Lijiang Old Town. We felt genuinely cared for. Highly recommended!

• Michael (10/5): Exceptional hospitality and exceptional place to stay - First of all, Julia - the manager of the Inn, is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and attentive, including her small Team of staff. Julia started reaching out to us well before we arrive in China via first by Whatsapp and then we communicate on WeChat. She arranged someone to pick us up from the Train Station, and later also send us back when we left. Julia also made full arrangement for us for a day trip to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, including a Driver and tickets, with not extra charges, and also discounted ticket to The Legend of Romance show. The Inn is very nice - clean, comfortable, and very quiet - BIG room with ensuite with a BIG bathtub. The whole property just make us feel relax and welcoming. It is located about 500m from the Carpark, with lots of restaurants just 20-50m away (ask Julia, she has a good list of suggestion). It is a bit out of the busy area in the Old Town, but that's exactly what we wanted. Best of all, it is behind the Police Station of the Old Town - so probably the safest place around :) Cannot thanks enough for Julia and her Team hospitality - the fantastic tea and fruits served when we reach "home", the chatting sharing of local info (Julia is very informative), and the small menu breakfast with fantastic coffee that's good enough for the start of the day. I have no knowledge of other accommodations in Lijiang Old Town, but if I ever go back Lijiang and Julia is there, I will certainly stay at Artistic Suite again.

• Rachel (10/5): 太棒了！ would definitely stay here again! - I was amazed the moment when we stepped into the room. It was smoke free, extremely clean and spacious! It was a bidet toilet in mine too! Not just the room, the entire front desk, environment etc was super clean and welcoming. The owner, Julia was extremely friendly and helpful during the entire trip. She reached out before the trip to check in about our transport and also helped made suggestions for during the trip. When I fell sick, Julia advised on going to the hospital which turned out to be a wise decision❤️ As I was sick, we had to call off our plans to yulong mountain. Thankfully we booked through the hotel and Julia managed to get majority of the fees refunded (only paid 190Rmb in the end). Can’t imagine having to deal with trip cancellation/all these admin things when I’m sick. Super thankful and appreciative of their help. Value for money and it’s located right in 古城which means easy access to food/shopping as well. Tip: if you’re going there by car, just be aware that cars can’t drive into 古城。 Easily solved by arranging with the owner, Julia and she can arrange for the cyclist/motorcyclist cart to transport our luggages from the nearest pickup point. Would stay again if I’m back to Lijiang 💯 thank you to their entire team including xiao rou and Jeff! -

The food was served hot and fresh. It was included in the cost. The location was amazing. It conveniently located in the heart of the ancient town. With plenty of support with directions and arrangements of transportation. We were picked and dropped off at the train station. The room was spacious, bright, carefully laid out, consistent with old town character yet provided modern amenities. Julia and Jeffrey take a very personal approach to managing their hotel. The reception /customer service staff were exceptional. We were very impressed! The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were professional and responded to our many needs and endless requests for information and support, including arranging tickets to local events and confirming arrangements for our next stop of our itinerary. We had a wonderful 4 day stay and would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

• Pui (10/5): Beautiful with lots of good memories! - This is my favorite hotel during my stay in Yunnan. It is in the center of the Lijiang Old Town with walking distance to tour around. The town is full of historical views and very stunning. Staff is very helpful and caring, particularly thanks to Julia and 晓晓. They could answer all our questions and give us recommendations for dining and scenery places for photo taking. Room was spacious and well-equipped. • John (10/5): Wonderful experience in Lijiang Ancient City - Simply stated, everything. The staff were the most helpful in every way. The property is a classic ancient city home that has been modernized without losing any of its character. They did not oversell. It was everything and more than I expected. I have never given a full 10 until now and I very seldom give properties 9. I highly recommend Artistic Suited.

• Jaren (10/5): Good location and Super Staff - Staff are hospitable and nice. They are friendly and approachable. Toilet comes with auto bidet and warm seat (Like Japan toilets) unlike other hotels we stayed in Yunnan during the trip. Room is spacious. Breakfast choices can be more.
• Yiu (10/5): Great stay! Highly recommend - Amazing quaint b&b in the middle of the ancient city of lijiang. Rooms are spacious , clean, and comfortable. I soaked in the bathtub every day! The reception staff is so kind, helpful, and personable. They gave us great recommendations and helped us book various shows and tours. Small touches like fruits and snacks everyday. Highly recommend! Sometimes the cleaning staff would be sitting on the only 2 rocking chairs available in the courtyard. Not a huge deal but I would imagine that guests would want to sit there too.
