Guest Reviews
- Paul (10/5): Fabulous, will be recommending - This was an amazing cottage within walking distance to the lovely local pubs, and falls, we did the aysgarth falls to Bolton castle walk and it was the ideal location, felt safe and was warm and everything was thought about, milk tea coffee torch in the side draw of the bed, extra blankets etc, wonderful place to stay definitely recommend The Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss but that was the only issue we had
- Gary (10/5): -
- carol (10/5): - Very clean, very quiet. Good quality fixtures and fittings. Welcome gifts of milk, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Towels provided, all spotless. Great watching the cows coming and going! Fabulous place ,lovely owners had a brief chat but not intrusive. Nothing. Great place!
- Michelle (10/5): Absolutely book it it’s a perfect location for the waterfall trail - The location was beautiful , so very clean ,everything we needed and more. Definitely recommend it was just perfect That it was a working farm but we didn’t see any animals but we could hear them.
We don’t meet the hosts
- Susan (10/5): This was a really lovely short break in a cottage I would definitely book again in the future. - This was one of the best cottages I have stayed in - it was easy to find and in a lovely location with good views from all directions. It was spacious, in excellent decorative order, exceptionally clean and provided everything one might need, a real home from home. There's absolutely nothing I wish to criticise.
- Katrina (9/5): - Cottage is v comfortable v clean v well equipped and in a perfect location. Little extras like good quality tea coffee biscuits and milk awaited us. The owners are very responsive, and friendly. The cottage also much more spacious than a 1 bedroomed cottage usually . I liked everything
- Katy (10/5): - Location was great! Only a short walk to the waterfalls and there was a shop with a petrol station up the road. It a spacious and clean place. Very cosy vibes with a great view from the bedroom.
- Emily (10/5): Grange Cottage was perfect for us. We felt right at home and the views were amazing. Everything we wanted was within a g - Very homely, spacious, comfortable, great views. There’s nothing we didn’t like 🙂
- Adele (10/5): An Amazing little quaint cottage, overlooking the valleys, plenty of sheep crazing. - The location, the views, the quietness. What an amazing little cottage.
- Susan (10/5): - Good location and so quiet. Lovely cottage, such a shame it rained none stop. Ideal location for visiting some lovely little villages and Aysgarth falls . Will definitely be returning. Was also nice to have a little welcome pack for when you arrive to have a cuppa. Thank you, so many places don't supply anything. Some lovely places to eat within a short drive. Not a thing it was perfect. Look forward to returning.
- Anthony (8/5): A beautiful, well-equipped house with great hosts, but poor wifi. - The experience was overall excellent. We absolutely loved the beautiful location, which made the trip incredibly relaxing.
The house itself was clean, comfortable, and very well equipped, providing everything we needed for our stay, including excellent local information about places to visit and things to do. We also want to highlight the hosts, who provided good communication before, during, and after our visit, making the entire process seamless and welcoming. The only significant issue we encountered was the Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, it was practically non-existent for the whole duration of our stay. When we asked the hosts about it, they attributed the problem to the windy weather conditions. Given the property's location, this may well be a regular occurrence.
- Garry (10/5): Great cottage in a lovely area ideal for exploring the area more and some great walks. - Everything was excellent, location in the middle of the dales, being on a working farm and the actual cottage was just perfect for a couple. If I had to find something it would only be a slightly uncomfortable mattress but realise this is a personnel choice but otherwise everything was excellent.
- Alan (10/5): Great stay! - Easy to find, clean, fully accommodated! A home away from home - fantastic stay!
- Martyn (10/5): Outstanding accommodation at Aysgarth, North Yorkshire. - Lovely cottage with modern facilities in a beautiful area of North Yorkshire.
- Gillian (9/5): Excellent property, would definitely recommend it. - Very modern and comfortable and immaculately clean Nothing
- Heather (10/5): A lovely peaceful stay at a beautiful location. - Everything! Lovely location on a working dairy farm. The cottage was spacious, well equipped and comfortable, and had everything you needed. So peaceful and relaxing. No negatives at all.
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (10/5): amazing location and property, couldn't have asked for better -
- Edward (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would return to Grange Cottage whenever we visit the Dales in future. - Grange Cottage is spacious, comfortable, well equipped. And scrupulously clean The owners were welcoming and very helpful.
The setting is beautiful, quiet and well located for visiting the dales. Nothing
- Elaine (10/5): We’ve had a lovely relaxing couple of days. - Absolutely beautiful property with everything you need. Stunning views from every window and patio area. We enjoyed sitting out with a glass of wine watching and listening to the birds. Nothing we didn’t like.
- Julie (10/5): Beautiful break away - Beautiful very cozy cottage that was spotlessly clean throughout, the views were breathtaking, very peaceful and quiet considering it's situated on a working dairy farm, the hosts were very welcoming and friendly often stopping to chat with my husband and i.
Watching the cows backwards and forwards was more interesting than i initially thought it would be, it's fair to say we found them very entertaining and if I'm honest we were sad to leave, it's a beautiful place, we will am sure in the future be staying again. Having to leave to come home, missing the peacefulness and the cows.
- Jessica (10/5): amazing weekend away - it was a lovely cottage in the countryside with amazing views just what we wanted. They left biscuits and milk for us as well as some shower gels/body creams etc. the Internet was good so we could watch netflix as well which is always a bonus. it was lovely seeing the cows been moved to the fields and back. the farm is very clean and very welcoming. nothing
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was absolutely lovely. Very comfortable and felt like a home away from home. Kitchen was well kitted out with everything you might need, excellent supply of milk, tea, coffee and even some lovely biscuits.
We had a family with young kids staying in the cottage next to us and we even had the mother apologising to us in person about how noisy her children were being but we didn't hear anything from next door. So the cottages must be pretty sound proof as well.
The location was lovely, nice walks in the immediate vicinity and Aysgarth Falls nearby. A garage with a shop attached and tea room were both situated within walking distance which is always helpful.
The cottage is situated on a working farm which I loved as we got to see the cows coming out of the barn each day. Sue is a wonderful host and happy to do her up most to suit any special requests.
I would definitely stay here again.
- Shannon (10/5): Cosy cottage perfect for exploring the dales. - We had a wonderful stay at Grange Cottage. The cottage was easy to find and in a great location for exploring the dales. There’s so many beautiful waterfalls and pubs nearby. The cottage itself was very well equipped, clean and had everything you’d need, plus a few little extras! The corner bath was lush, and the log burner added a lovely cosy touch. Linens and towels were incredibly fresh and fluffy!!! It really felt like a home from home. The highlight was seeing the cows on the way to and from the field, they were very entertaining! The hosts were kind and welcoming and were happy to teach me about the cows and the milking process. Thank you for a brilliant stay, we’d love to return one day.
- Thompson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Great weekend walking in the Dale's - The cottage was an ideal location for walking out to Aysgarth Falls and beyond. It was immaculately clean with everything you need inside it.
Considering it is on a working Dairy farm it was very quite and peaceful with lovely views across the fields and down to the village. I would imagine it to be even better during the summer months, well worth booking if your looking for somewhere to stay in the Dale's.
- Purushotham (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location and a very cozy cottage with great views
- Katrina (9/5): Superb -
- Ben (10/5): Really comfortable. - It was really well kept and clean. Great location for our trip.
- Tara (10/5): Amazing cottage just outside of the village so peaceful but close enough to walk. - It was a large beautiful cottage. The kitchen was well stocked including milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, dishwasher tablets etc. The wood for the fire was perfect for our wet Saturday afternoon chilling in front of the fire. We will be back next year. We walked 10 mins to the hotel and the pub is even closer. The falls were fantastic as we had had a lot of rain the week before. Bed was comfy and big. Corner bath was excellent. Loved it all. I would recommend to anyone.
- Anthony (10/5): Great place for a peaceful break. - Spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities. There was nothing which we didn’t like
- Nikki (10/5): Home to home - Convenient locations for our visit to Yorkshire Dales. Great location with a good view and on site parking. The property is in excellent decoration, very modern, very clean, comfortable bed with all the facilities - home from home. Very comfy and warm. Sue is an excellent host with all the information needed. The welcome pack is most appreciated. Will definitely revisit again. Thank you Sue for providing such a homely and comfortable place for us. clean, warm and in excellent condition
