Guest Reviews
- PohChin (4/5): Not up to expectations - Location Oven is not cleaned with baby cockroaches.
Big ants crawling in the kitchen
No waste baskets in the rooms or toilets.
No handwash and toiletries provided in the upstairs toilet.
Cupboard in the twin bedroom is locked, caused much inconvenience.
Should not expect guests to dispose the rubbish bags when no extra rubbish bags are given.
Should not expect to place the used bed sheets in the basket.
As this place is managed by a corporate, we have expected better property maintenance and upkeep.

- Alastair (10/5): Like the Tardis - bigger on the inside than it might appear! - What a lovely find, and in a welcoming village too. The cottage is so well turned out and equipped, warm (in a cold windy March week!), and - like the Tardis - bigger on the inside than it might appear! The guest-file is really helpful and broad-ranging - use it. It's a great base to explore Anglesey from, with interesting walks from the front door and further afield (don't miss the Parys/Copper Mountain trail, for example.) If you're not cooking in, the nearby, friendly Stag pub does food - check the seasonal times, and as we arrived later on a Sunday evening, they pointed us back to the (superb) Chippy (shuts at 8pm) and let us bring it back in and eat our fish supper with a pint and more that night! So, say hello, enjoy the company! The Clothes shop/Laundrette owner is fascinating, go buy a local woolly hat and have a chat about where else to explore. And, the cream on the cake is...free parking just round the corner! How often have you booked elsewhere, checked for the parking, and arrived to discover it's neither convenient nor free nor even reasonable? Here, off-season at least, it's free. It all adds up to a really nice home to stay in with a proper feelgood feel. And don't forget to book the Menai RibRide tour with Charles - another unmissable highlight! Nothing to either dislike or even pick at!
- Jill (10/5): Loved how clean everything was - It was spotlessly clean. The milk and Bara Brith was very a welcome touch. Extra pillows on the beds would have been nice.

- John (7/5): Not what we thought we booked from the description. (two bathrooms) - Location great, lovely village, House was spotlessly clean, weather perfect and we took full advantage of the sunny garden and chairs provided. Breakfasted outside every day. TV perfect picture quality. House is advertised as 2 bathrooms whereas it has only 1 shower room and a downstairs toilet. No frying pan (just a crépe pan which is warped and didn't heat up well (had to go to Tesco and buy a frying pan) Non-stick pans worn out and coating almost non-existent so not safe to use, so couldn't use them. Kettle seems old and everything (coffee, Tea, etc. tasted very odd. (using bottled water as we do at home). So, main point is a lot of the kitchen equipment (Pans, Kettle, Cutlery, Utensils) is worn out, tired and needs replacing. Many of the home owners recommendations in the book out of date. We do have our own Holiday Cottage so we are aware how important these things are.
- Rachel (10/5): Beautiful comfortable cottage. - Absolutely beautiful cottage. This was a very last minute booking due to another booking being cancelled. Can't fault the quick service and so glad we chose Anchor Cottage. Everything was perfect, very comfortable Everything we needed. Weather not great so didn't use the rear garden facilities. Short walk from the free carpark. Dog friendly and only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again. Only a minor point but could do with a stair gate on the stairs to stop your dog from wandering upstairs but we improvised and used the airer across the bottom. Other than that the cottage is faultless.
- Graeme (7/5): Overall a wonderful 4 days at Cemaes. - Very good location with easy access to the village, the beaches and the river walk. The layout of the property suited our needs perfectly. The property was not as clean as it should be and needs a thorough clean in all rooms.
- Francis (9/5): - Qiuet, relaxed and picturesque
- Roscoe (9/5): -
- Rachel (10/5): - Brilliant position for the beach and shops. We come to Cemaes every year. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. There was nothing we didn't like but the bathroom needs a few things fixing (toilet, shower door).
- Mary (10/5): We had an amazing weekend and loved the area. - Great location, light and airy, clean and comfortable. Lovely village.
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Heather (10/5): Would certainly return - Lovely and airy and very comfortable accommodation and in a good position to see all of Anglesey.
- Susan (8/5): Lovely property - Very clean property well equipped kitchen. Quick walk to local emmenities. Welcome milk and cake. Free parking 2 minutes walk Bedrooms were a bit cramped. Mattresses could do with changing as we could feel the springs and no bedside tables due to the arrangement of the furniture. Blackout blinds needed as street lighting outside.
- Colin (10/5): Perfect -
- Alan (9/5): Beautiful Cemaes Bay. The dogs doodahs. - Proximity of the property to the beaches. Facilities for our stay. 1 shower/bathroom, advertised as 2 bathrooms. We always book based on 2 bathrooms as a group. But it didn't detract from our stay. We managed, albeit a little later getting out! 1 bathroom and a downstairs toilet are accurate.
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable and cute cottage Nothing to complain about
