• Pascal (6/5): Ok for one night - The room was nice and clean. There is no sign outside the property and the place is already hard to find. There is no bell outside the gate either. So you have to resort to honking. The starlink based wifi was slow even before the rain. As soon as the rain started the power went off. This seems to be normal as the host brought me a torch when it started raining.

• MCSS (5/5): Shared Kitchen- not for large groups - Clean rooms and bathrooms Kitchen is shared amongst the 5 individually rented rooms and is awkwardly located in the wing of the house with the other two rooms makes it uncomfortable to use. Living area not designed for a large group to sit inside.

• Alana Snyman (10/5): Lovely clean accommodation - Beds were comfortable. Complementary coffee. Rooms were super clean and neat. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Quiet area. Good place for a comfortable sleepover. Excellent communication from facility. Wifi excellent. Rooms are not sound proof so if one has noisy neighbours in the room next door - it might be an issue. We had the whole place to ourselves so it was not a problem for us.

Its a big house, where they rent each room individually. We were a big group, so we rented the full house. Service also was very good Nothing

• Sabrina (8/5): - Wir waren auf der Durchreise von Kasane nach Johannesburg. Für die eine Übernachtung war die Unterkunft gut, auch von der Lage. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und alles war zweckmäßig. Die Gemeinschaftsküche hatte alles was man braucht um eine kleine Mahlzeit zuzubereiten. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in der Nähe. Etwas hellhörig.

El personal amable pero poco puntual a la hora de llegada. Bonita habitación pero sin espacio para las maletas y, algo absurdo: sin puerta en el baño!!! Ningún restaurante a menos de 20km a la redonda (está en una urbanización) y no quisieron servirnos desayuno.

• Lindi (8/5): Comfortable stay in a beautiful home - Being a cleanliness and neatness freak, they take the crown. Clean bed, clean bathroom. There was a problem with electricity we couldn't bath with hot water and we slept on darkness, however, that gave us an opportunity to see a very caring and humble owner, he tried to resolve the matter but it was beyond his control hence we understood and we couldn't fault him any longer. We booked 3 rooms and unfortunately me and husband didn't sleep a wink because of the cricket bug making a terrible sound in our room the WHOLE night, my ear drums were so sore in the morning, I wanted to cry. The others slept very well. The caretaker/manager was friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. However, we did notice a need for improvement in guest etiquette, particularly in areas such as courtesy, personal space, and privacy. Her tone tends to be quite loud, even in casual conversation, which can be unsettling in a peaceful setting. With a bit of training in hospitality communication and guest relations, we believe she has the potential to greatly enhance the overall guest experience.

• Sam (8/5): Great place - The accommodation was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable lounge area that was perfect for relaxation. I had the pleasure of staying in the two-bedroom suite with lounge, which exceeded my expectations. The staff, particularly Praise, were exceptional - always willing to lend a helping hand and providing calm reassurance when I expressed concerns about sharing the kitchen facilities with other guests. Furthermore, the TV, WiFi, and air conditioning all functioned flawlessly, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay. Car parking is secured inside a remote gate and electric fence. The only drawback was the unexpected requirement to share the kitchen facilities with other guests, which seemed counterintuitive given that I had booked a self-contained two-bedroom apartment with a lounge and kitchen. This requirement should be clearly stated in the advertisement. The location is a little bit far outside the main road and about 20 to 30 minutes to town. Water pressure was also a little challenge, especially the hot water.

No care or help given whatsoever by the host. Wouldn’t recommend this place even if it was the last place on earth!

We have been to some places in the city center,they cant march Sererne Cottage standard. They have good parking space,good wifi and smart tvs. Self catering facilities are also good.Great place to be away from the noise of the city center. Its a great place to be away from the city center noise.

There was no bedside light. No meals are offered. The gardener assisted me and she did the best that she could. See above. The place does have potential.

• Danie (10/5): We love Serene Cottage and we love Botswana. - Serene Cottage is situated in Tati, outside of the hustle and bustle of Francistown but close enough to visit town when needed. The accommodation is really value for money. The television could not connect to the internet but maybe it was just me not knowing what to do.

The host was also very helpful, informative and very friendly!! Will definitely make this a preferred Francistown stopover in future. Highly recommended.

There was a small issue involving the water or some pipes at our requested booking, and they proactively upgraded us to make sure we didn’t have any issues. We were very impressed by this, and would recommend these hosts to anyone. They clearly take good care of their guests and their properties. It was a little noisy at night in the neighborhood and the walls are thin so we could hear staff outside. It wasn’t a huge issue; but take into consideration if you are a light sleeper.
