Location is a challenge but once we called the owner he sent a cab out to pick my family up from the centre of town. Exemplary service. All staff were attentive and so keen to make sure our stay was excellent. I've stayed in Katra three times now for the Pilgramage, and the Sunshine Hotel is the one I'll return to. Amazing value, amazing service and great and comfortable rooms. Perfect for families as well. Location is in an up and coming part of town but great service with pick ups by staff.

- Niveditha (1/5): The rooms and towels could smell better. Food is next level horrible. 3 adults plus a child fell sick within 3 hours of - Just the reception and manager was good. Everything else was horrible. My room had a weird railway toilet smell. The restaurant downstairs was literally not a restaurant but a street side fast food types with cockroaches and little mouse running around. We fell sick the same night of having dinner from the restaurant downstairs. Do yourself a favour by not eating from there even if you just stay.

Promised us extra bed(s) as we were travelling with kids but gave us paper thin mattresses. We didn’t even use the mattresses and asked for extra mattress charges after check out.

- Shashwat (9/5): Superb - The spacious rooms. We booked triple rooms for 7 people and they were tidy with all the amenities in function. The location. You have to navigate through the streets to reach the hotel.
- Shailesh (9/5): Overall, the stay was pleasant with excellent staff and amenities, but the little remote location. - The hotel staff is exceptionally polite and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern, with comfortable beds and well-maintained bathrooms. The in-house kitchen offers good options for dinner, with a wide variety of delicious dishes catering to different tastes. Additionally, the hotel kindly allowed us to store our luggage a day before our scheduled check-in. The hotel is located in a little inside area that might become a prime location in the future due to the new bus stand development. Currently, it's challenging to reach due to unpaved roads and narrow streets from nearby residential areas in Katra. Transportation can be difficult, as some auto drivers refused to go there or charged more than expected. Furthermore, the airport transfer arranged by the hotel was very costly compared to regular market rates, as I found out later.
