- Nellie (6/5): Friendly staff, dated rooms, overpriced food. - Unique experience near falls. Weather was beautiful and sunny (people wearing tank tops), was told this was unusual. Unfortunately, I was catching up on sleep and didn't wake up early to walk near the falls. Would be a great place to stay to take night aurora pictures. However, rooms very dated/stuffy, food very expensive (one tortilla with some chicken and peppers cost $30--ridiculous) and isolated to do anything other than Godafoss (which is packed with tourists and buses all day), so be wary of this. I actually cut my stay short one day (no refund) to explore other areas, so be aware of limiting your driving around the ring road and prioritizing what to see. I would actually stay here again if available, but for one day on my trip around.

The room and bath were rather small and the beds were a bit hard. It had a charm to it but not the most comfortable stay we have had here in Iceland.

The bathroom was tiny and had the smallest sink I have ever seen in my life- slightly larger than my hand- hard to wash your face. Hotel is right across from Godafoss waterfall- not in the town area of Laugar. Paid extra for breakfast and it was very nice- even had a choose your own espresso machine. Dated decor. Shower very slippery but so small chances are good you won’t fall.

- Viktor (10/5): - Super nice room. The bathroom was super small. The sink is probably of the same size as an airplane. We loved the little patio and walking distance to the waterfall. Breakfast was super nice, especially the coffee machine. You pay $3000 isk plus 7.5% service fee ($25 usd) for breakfast per person.

Absonsten aber ein gutes Hotel, nette Gastgeber, toller Blick auf Goðafoss. Empfehlung für Fotos und Eindrücke erst nach 20 Uhr den Wasserfall besuchen, da sonst total überfüllt, teilweise bis zu über 15 Reisebusse auf dem Parkplatz und tonnenweise Menschen. Am Abend aber toll, wenn alle Touris wieder auf ihrem Schiff sind.

At nightime, during the midnight sun, when all the tour buses and travelers are gone,you have the whole waterfall to yourself. It is was my favorite waterfall in Iceland. The food is good, the beds are clean, spend at least two nights there to truely enjoy the area.

- Steven (10/5): - A little gem. This property is walking distance to Godafoss, a spectacular horseshoe falls in Iceland. You can even see parts of the falls from the lobby. While so close to the water, you can barely hear the falls and river. A great night sleep. Hotel And restaurant are managed by a friendly and efficient staff. Rooms seem recently renovated, very clean and efficient. The property gives a “cabin” or “chalet” vibe. We had dinner in the restaurant. Food was good, however for dinner they would benefit from a larger selection and a couple higher end choices. Overall a great place to stay for one or multiple nights.

Nos cocinaron riquísimo la cena y fueron muy amables, actualizaron nuestra reservación ala suite y fue increíble el panorama porque de nuestra cama podíamos mirar la Waterfall Godafoss! Fue una experiencia increíble! Y claro que nos volveremos a hospedar nuevamente!

- Greig (6/5): Butlins - Put in outside cabin - can only say it was like I remember the Butlins chalets were like in England 50 years ago! Staff did not have red coats and were very polite.
