Guest Reviews
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Great little spot right on the strip
- Brenda (6/5): Nice clean room. - While our room was very clean and the furnishings quite new and pleasant we found the low profile bed and firm mattress not to our liking. There is a full flight of stairs to reach the rooms. The deck is a nice touch though, for us, the chairs were very uncomfortable.
What bothered us the most was the light from the large commercial billboard which flashed all night long lighting up our room and disturbing our sleep. Too bad they can't turn it off from 11pm to 7am.
We were there during the week so there wasn't too much noise from the restaurant and patio downstairs after 11pm
The location is in the centre of the action.
We would not stay there again.
- Ligene Anne (8/5): - The property was perfectly located, with everything close by.
However, the shower drain was clogged, making the shower experience rather uncomfortable. Despite this issue, the washroom itself was beautiful, and the rain showerhead was a wonderful addition that I would have loved to enjoy more if it weren't for the puddle of water caused by the poor drainage.
- Praveen (10/5): - Very by old stay. Wish the lights on the crabby joes billboard could turn off after closing. All in all a great stay!
- Milena (10/5): - My husband and I stayed here for the weekend and had a wonderful time! The place was very clean, check-in/out was super easy, and the host was friendly and welcoming. It’s located right above Crabby Joe’s, which makes it perfect if you’re looking for a lively area and some nightlife. We loved being right on the strip so everything Grand Bend has to offer was just a short walk away. We’ll definitely be back again and are already looking forward to it!
- Hannah (2/5): - If you want to sleep at night or rest- don’t come here. They conveniently and idiotically have a Club/dance floor and DJ that starts playing incredible loud music beflow your room from 9 pm until about 12:30-1:30 pm. It was impossible to rest. Then at 7 am you here them stacking chairs and converting things back to the restaurant below. So again, if you only are interested in sleeping from 12:30 am or later until 7 am then this place is for you! Terrible and illogical set up. Would never stay again.
- Laurie (8/5): - The room and location were great, a bit loud over the restaurant but ince it closed very good.
- Pina (10/5): - Beautiful room and lovely balcony with chairs to sit on ♥️
No elevator .... stairs are hard for me ....but i managed pretty good
- Raffaella (8/5): - Location was good
- Grace (6/5): - Very hard to get a hold of personnel, calling and leaving messages from the day before checkin as no instructions were sent via email. Check in is through crabby joes, I found this to be bizarre, experience, it took 3 wait staff to figure this out which made it uncomfortable. Door entrance to rooms is always unlocked which allows accessibility to anyone off the streets. This is downright scary! Yes you lock your room door but anyone can be lurking in halls, thankfully we didn’t have that experience. Parking is advertised free on website but then they charge $35 for the night. (The Manager comped it for us because of my reference)
Bed - the floor is just as comfortable - rock hard & pillows need upgrading. We barely slept and sore. Bottled water was provided which is a nice touch. Sheets were stained and there was no mattress cover. Guests are responsible to take out their own garbage??!!
Won’t be returning.
- JULIE (10/5): - Room 1 is fun with its garage doors overlooking Main St and balcony.
- Isabella (8/5): - Room was clean and ready to go, cute and cozy. Check in was super easy and quick with parking available on site (did have to pay for, not included with pricing of the stay) only thing was shower I would say be scrubbed a bit better cleaning wise but other then that room was very clean aside from the shower. at night time because of the live dj downstairs at the restaurant it was quite loud until 1:30-2 am but not too bad if you kept the TV on during the night. Would come again!
- Chris (6/5): - Stairs, not enough sugar n spoons for coffee, restaurant closed when time to check out at 11,no screens on windows, didn't like the idea i had to get rid of take garbage to dumpsters need to have instructions for tv n air coditioner, toilet paper holder in bathroom in an inconvenient spot, shower stall n under bathroom vanity was dirty, only good thing was private parking space n good location ,did like the decor.
- Scott (10/5): - Excellent location, simple easy check in and very clean room was exactly what we needed.
- Yuukiko (6/5): - The room was nice but I wasn’t aware that they were literally on top of crabby joes. If I knew this prior to booking I probably would’ve booked something else in the area.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Very nice, clean renovated rooms. Close to beach, stores and restaurants.
Will definitely come back next year!
- Leonora (10/5): - this is such a great location right on Grand Bend's main strip. Lots of action, stores, ice cream, restaurants and people watching. Gorgeous roll-up garage windows in Room #1 overlooking Grand Bend Strip. Newly renovated. Check-in and finding the front door was a little confusing, but we met the owner at Craby Joe's and he gave us a tour and handed over the keys. You can either pay for parking in the back or take your chances with the free parking across the street. Not the quietest stay but you were centrally located in the hub of Grand Bend. What more could you ask for. I would definitely return. The only thing tiny issue we experienced was that the shower drain and the bathroom sink drain were slow to drain. Which can be a quick fix with just some Draino :-)
- Olivia (8/5): - We had a great stay. The area is very walkable with so many shops and restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The check in went smooth, you check in at the Crabby Joes. We were allowed to park a few hours early and our room was ready an hour early. The room was very clean and spacious, the balcony was great and keurig machine and coffee pods in the room was a great touch. The only complaint is the bed was very hard and would probably hurt your back if sleeping in it multiple nights. The noise wasn’t bad at all, but we expected it since the property is on the main strip above a restaurant. Thanks for a great stay!
- lynn (8/5): - I like the area, and the bed was comfortable, and it was nice to have coffee in the room. The only thing was that the parking wasn't good and very expensive. I think they should have better parking for those staying here. Maybe let them have free parking if they stay overnight, not 50 dollars. My friend enjoys staying here, but is just disappointed in the parking
- PETER (8/5): - One thing that would have been great is a microwave, but other than that I loved it!
- Raquel (10/5): - Great place for a beach vacation! Overnight stay
- Jaroslaw (2/5): - Very loud music until 1 am from a club across the street. Couldn’t sleep.
- Mary-Anne (10/5): - Easy to book, clean, new ans central location
- Paul (6/5): - The sweet soil was pretty good, but it’s on the second floor above a bar where pounding music continues until 130 in the morning, and starts again at 8 o’clock the next morning. Also, I’ve never seen a bill or invoice for the stay and have no idea what the ultimate charge was. I’ll have to sort that out with Expedia or by looking at my Visa bill. That’s a bad practice.
- Lisa (10/5): - and quick check in. Perfect spot. Short walk to everything!
- Alyssa (10/5): - We loved the location of the space, and best part was the patio that overlooked the main strip. The owners were super accommodating to us which we really appreciated. It was a heat wave weekend and our room stayed nice and cool for us. We will definitely be back
- Roxy (8/5): - I had to unplug the 2 air fresheners in the room since the smell was overpowering and irritated my allergies. Doors are loud and other rooms opening and closing
- MALAK (10/5): - Amazing. Highly recommended
- Ashley (10/5): - Such a cute hotel! Loved the location, it was perfect for our weekend in Grand Bend
- Curtis (8/5): - Need more hot water , and sign is too bright
But it’s a great room
- Denise (10/5): - Really great location, wonderful stay! We love this spot and will most definitely come back. A bit of noise in the evening but it was a Friday so that’s to be expected. Thanks for having us!
- Richard (4/5): Not a good stay! - Room had been given to a drop in, we then waited 45 minutes for it to be ready. Shower was awful, grout all chipped and dirty, we did not shower. No chair other than a very large, low modern thing you couldn’t sit in. I was called twice on Saturday to pay the bill right then, we were to leave Sunday. There was no reason for that at all. The bed was comfortable, pillows ok, it was clean. Towels were ok. Will not ever rebook and will tell others not to. By the way, TV would not work!
- Janet (6/5): - It was generally a good stay with enough dresser space for clothes, a reasonable size but there were some issues that came up. First there were no extra blankets (fortunately we had a heavy 1 in the car that we used). It was quite cool in the room when we got there but could not figure out how to turn the heat up. It was only when we called for help that we discovered it had to be changed over from A/C to heat but there were no instructions to say that. There were no wash cloths. There were no clear instructions for the TV so we never used it. We were however able to connect to the Wi Fi. And we have never been requested to take out garbage anywhere else we’ve ever stayed. We did it but it seemed very strange. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay but could have been somewhat better.
- June (6/5): - Middle of town
